(Q.Pitch) Calling All Slytherins

bella, who was just arriving at the pitch, nimbus 3000 in hand, saw the rogue quaffle, and hopped on her broom, speeding off toward the red ball. she managed to get ahold of it around the hufflepuff stands. quaffle tucked under her arm, she flew to the captain.

handing it to him, she said, "bellatrix black, trying out for the position of chaser."

Maeve smirked. Seeing Bellatrix handing the quaffle over to the captain, and flew and quickly grabbed he'd gotten hold of it.

Staying afloat on her Firebolt XX, Maeve spun the quaffle on her index finger and said, "Maeve Malfoy, also trying out for Chaser and Keeper, as well." She tossed the quaffle to him.

malfoythought bella. so we must be distantly related. she took another look at the girl. very distantly, she decided

"how do you plan on doing both?" asked bella scathingly. "i mean, youre not that big."

Maeve looked Bellatrix. Ah, yes, I've seen her outside Hogwarts. Parents' stupid balls, I do believe. Her expression was smug.

"Actually, I meant either Chaser or Keeper. Should've been a little clearer." she answered back in the same tone.

yes, she had the malfoy blonde hair. bella's sister was even named after a malfoy from long, long ago. narcissa malfoy. but that was, what? a hundred years ago.

"yes, perhaps you should," bella answered sweetly, and she got on her broom and flew a few circles around the group. she was getting antsy.

Maeve watched Bellatrix go flying off in circles. She decided that sitting on the edge of the stands would be better, so that exactly what she did. Maeve flew herself over to the Slytherin stands and sat right on the railing where the spectators were not allowed to go over. When was this thing going to begin?

Angelina sighed heavily as the new girl flew onto the pitch and announced that she was trying out for Keeper. She flew over to her and gave a smirk. "I think you may have a little bit of trouble with Keeper sweetie. You see, there's already two people trying out. Jerred Boneman and myself." Angelina flew off and glanced briefly back over her shoulder, "Looks like you've got some competiton sweetheart!"

Maeve sighed and shrugged. "Does no one listen? I said I'm trying out for Chaser and Keeper. If I don't make Keeper, than I still have Chaser to fall back on. Anyway, I like Chaser better." She laid down so her spin was in line with the edge. "Honestly, I don't care if you or Jerred gets it. And don't call me sweetheart! That name is reserved for one person only, he just doesn't know it yet." she added the last part as a mumble.

"So, like I asked before, when are we starting?" she repeated.

bella, curious and nosy (and pureblood) had to ask. "ooooh, who?"

Maeve started to turn a little bit pink in her pale cheeks. "No one you know." Lie. He's in her year!

"come on, just between cousins!" bella said lightly, flying over to maeve.

Maeve's cheeks turned another shade pink, making her skin look normal and healthy, although she was blushing. "Fine. Do you know a boy named Zyler?"

"Maybe, what house is he in?" bella asked, very intrigued.

[Maeve Malfoy]

"He's supposed to be our enemy." she stated, hoping that would get the house across.

"a GRYFFINDOR?" bella wailed. "i like a ravenclaw, and i thought i was bad, but this! this has to be illegal or something!
