Marishka had remained sat on the ground for the whole time the two sisters and their cousin had been gossiping. At first she had found it mildly irritating, their high pitched voices cutting into the air like knives - it was only when they began discussing a certain Gryffindor did she become rather mortified, quickly resorting to looking for the snitch, trying to distract herself from the girls. She respected Slytherins who had enough House pride to openly mock other Houses, but she certainly couldn't stand it when they contradicted themselves - especially for the sake of men.
Everyone had more or less taken off into the air now, and casting one last look at Markus, Marishka mounted her own broom and kicked off from the ground, beginning to stalk to quaffle and it's posessor. I'm lead Chaser around here, she thought scathingly, rocketing forward as she approached Maeve, punching the quaffle out from under her arm and arching up into the air and back in the opposite direction, heading for the other goal posts. 'Zachary!' She shouted into the wind as she threw the quaffle up into the air at an angle, willing him to catch it. 'Keep up, you're not here to socialise!' She remarked, glaring sternly as Bella and Narcissa.

Maeve growled when Marishka came and took the quaffle. She flew after her at a quick speed, just barely getting the quaffle before she could pass it off. "Hey," she yelled as she flew back towards the hoops. "Save the scolding for the other teams!" She threw the quaffle for a long goal shot, and watched as it went towards the center hoop.

The quaffle had barely left her fingers when Maeve shot up beside Marishka, snatching it before Zachary could make a move. Using the wind to do a hard U-turn, Marishka moved in line with the other girl although she kept several feet away. 'And save that rubbish about Gryffindors for the poser Slytherins - you make me sick!' Marishka retorted, not looking at Maeve but following the quaffle as Maeve sent it hurtling toward the goals.
Maeve had gone for a long goal, the path free of the rest of the team. It was always a risky move - nearly impossible in an actual match against a skilled team - and it wasn't likely that Marishka was going to let it slid and let her score. Sending her a cattish glance, Marishka leaned forward on her broom, fighting the wind resistance and flying full speed.
The goal posts loomed dangerously close and Marishka realised she was past the safe point of not crashing, but she was too agitated to take heed of the risk. Grinding her broomstick to an angle, Marishka skidded ahead of the quaffle, wincing with a satisfied sneer as it slammed into her side, finally in her grasp again. 'Nice try.' She called with a wry grin, coming to a halt and tossing it to Maeve, finished with her demonstration.

Maeve caught the quaffle with a smirk. So, Marishka was going to give Maeve some competition. Something actually worth doing. "What rubbish?" she said, tossing the quaffle lightly in the air, just to catch it and fly off. She grinned back at Marishka and tossed her the quaffle. "What maneuvers you know that we can try sometime against the others?" She knew she should be playing, but this girl sparked an interest in Maeve. If she could stop the quaffle and avoid hitting the posts, maybe she knew some other things that might be interesting. "You must know something that could help us win this year." She said, opening her hands for a catch of the quaffle, if she was going to pass it again.

Zachary made a face, watching Maeve grasp the quaffle from beneath him. "Malfoy, I think you displaying your amateur kissing skills with a Gryffindor would be enough to make the entire house of Slytherin sick. We'd probably end up forfeiting since all members of our team would be in the infirmary with upset stomachs."
Swerving his broom so that he was aligned with Marishka, he made to reach for the pass and scowled when Maeve caught hold of it again. The quaffle soared passed the Black sisters, reaching the goal posts when Marishka suddenly sped up from beside him.
"Mayfair!"
The wince on the Slytherin's face made Zachary clench his teeth as though he had also felt the impact, before smirking.
"That was a wicked play." He said, nodding. Of course, the neglected snitch chose that moment to whiz next to his ear in a reprimanding way, before knocking itself hard into Zachary's shoulder.
"Ow! What the hell!" Scowling, the Slytherin turned his broom to face the golden ball, and it was obvious if the snitch had a face it would be smirking in a very pleased way.

Maeve laughed as the Snitch hit Zach. "Maybe if you paid attention to the Snitch and not us, it wouldn't have hit you." she grinned. "Anyway, why do you say I'm an amateur? You don't know if I kiss well or not."

Now that the field had turned into a gossip column, Fallon sighed and shook her head. It was getting ridiculous. She tossed the quaffle back to the captain for him to start the game. "Can we please get going. I have a perfectly good gossip magazine waiting for me in the dorms."
Finally they were off. Fallon soared around the pitch. She would hope that she wouldn't have to deal with the Black's on her team. It wasn't the time or place to gossip. Still she sighed, looking over the field, plotting out any good shots. She had to admit, Mayfair was very good. Hoping that Daniels would switch up the teams and put her in soon, Fallon viewed the pitch. If she could only find the perfect opening, Fallon had the perfect play in mind.
"How bout a little action for me now, eh, Zach." Fallon smirked, batting her long eyelashes playfully joking around.

Zachary rolled his eyes at Maeve, rubbing his arm a bit before swerving around her toward Fallon, who seemed to gain interest in the game once more.
"This Gryffindor boy is obviously amateur, Malfoy!" He called behind his shoulder, a quaffle held securely under his arm. "Are you sure he's even aware you're a girl in the first place?"
Not waiting for a reply, and ignoring the snitch's annoying buzzing behaviour, he stopped right in front of Winters, sharply turning his broom to avoid a messy crash.
"Maeve, keeper too, right? Block off Fallon's shots if you can." Tossing Fallon the quaffle, he watched on for a few minutes before spiraling around and looking for the snitch.
Seeing a glint of gold far toward the opposite end of the pitch, he shot off at once.[/color]

Fallon took the quaffle graciously. "Thank you sir." She said with a smile. She turned to Malfoy, and grinned. She could try and stop her.
Fallon head high into the air, and circled. She tried to confuse Malfoy, using the Woollongong Shimmy, one of her favorite tactics. Of course technically the Woollongong Shimmy is used to throw off opposing chasers, but everytime she would do it at home with her cousins, she would totally throw off the Keeper is she was close enough to the goals.
Zig-zagging, before the goals, Fallon was sure that Malfoy wouldn't be able to tell what hoop she would eventually go for. She passed the highest one, and zagged toward the low one, and then zigged for the middle one. Fallon chose the hoop she would pick very carefully, Zigging again toward the low hoop, Fallon dashed toward the high hoop, making a throw for the middle hoop. Yes, that was a mouthful.

Maeve stuck her tongue out at Zach. "Ha, very funny!" she yelled sarcastically.
She flew immediately to the hoops and kept a watchful eye on Winters. She smirked when she saw the tactic Winters was trying to use against her. She was going to have to try harder to fool Maeve. Maeve flew directly to the middle hoop, and just barely deflected the quaffle. Her fingers almost brushed the hoop itself. She sighed in her mind. Maybe not too harder Winters would have to try. She flew down and caught the quaffle, tossing it back to Winters. "Close. Almost got me."

What are the chances! Fallon thought, as she turned back just in time to see her shot deflected. It was pure luck. Malfoy had to have been doing 'eeny-meeny minny moe' while Fallon was flying to get a save like that.
"Nice save." Fallon said, begrudgingly. "bet you couldn't do that again." Fallon smiled. It really was a good save, but lets face it, what Slytherin would admit that to anyone's face. "She's not half bad Capt'." Fallon shouted, just before Zach caught sight of the snitch again. "Try again?" She asked Malfoy.
Fallon circled around the pitch, quaffle in hand. She dodged around their captain, obviously still on the look out for the snitch. Fallon flew speedily past a couple other players to the far left side of the pitch near the goals.
The side shot was one of Fallon's favorites. With lots of practice, she now rarely missed it, as long as it wasn't blocked. However, it was one of those shots that chasers rarely tried. Fallon positioned herself and speed forward as if she was going toward the front. Instead she launched the quaffle in a side shot toward the closet hoop.
The quaffle's spin forced it to the left as it headed straight for the hoop. Fallon bit her lip as she watched the ball, as though in slow motion, head for the goal.

Maeve nodded in thanks when Winters said she did well. "I think that was pretty close itself. If I do that again, it'd be a miracle."
She shrugged when Winters asked her if she'd try again. "Why not? The more the practice, the better the game, the more win beat the other team." she watched as Winters flew around and did her shot. Maeve took off to the hoop it was heading for and stuck out her hand to catch it. Unfortunately, the quaffle caught her hand, and broke one of her fingers by bending it backwards and smacking it against the rim of the hoop. The quaffle flew into the same hoop.
Looking at her hand as if she broke a nail, she said with a smirk, "Hey, I think that broke my finger." she laughed. "Oh, well. I'll go to the H.W. later." she flew down to the ground, picking up the quaffle. She flew back up to Winters and threw it to her. "Lets keep going if you want. I've broken many other bones and still played." she laughed again.

Yes! Fallon smirked, then froze. Oh gosh! Fallon thought. I killed her. Ok, it wasn't even serious, but Fallon's mind red lighted it immediately. "You ok?" Fallon shouted immediately. Maeve flew toward the ground. I broke her whole hand Fallon thought, remembering the smack she heard as some body part hit the goal hoop.
Fallon breathed as Meave just picked up the quaffle and flew back up to her. Fallon let out a laugh. "Are you sure?" Fallon said, looking at the finger, already turning a violent shade of purple. Actually it was a very pretty color, Fallon thought, she would like a dress that color. Then she laughed at her own thoughts.
"How about I take a few long shots." Fallon suggested. They would be easy on Meave's finger. She took the quaffle and flew up and away from the posts. She waited until Malfoy got back to her position. "Ready!?" Fallon yelled from across the pitch.
Fallon sped forward, her speed gaining every second. Thought she was still very far away from the posts, she stopped suddenly, turning to the side. Winding up, she through the quaffle hard and long into the post. Her aim was perfect, but it would be an easy save.

She nodded. "Yeah, I've done worse and still played." she smirked wider. "I'm sure I'm fine. Trust me, not too bad damage done. It can be fixed. I'm like a flying bone-breaking prone. At least once a year I break something during Quidditch."
Maeve shrugged. "Whatever you want. A few shots, it is." Watching her fly back, Maeve got into her position, but hung upside-down. "Come on, I'm ready." she grinned, looking at Winters upside-down.
She kept an eye on the quaffle again. Easy even with a broken finger. Maeve flew, still upside-down, to the hoop the quaffle was aimed for and caught it with her hand. "Winters, I broke my arm last summer playing Quidditch to the point where both the bones in my arm were broke, bent, and jutting out of my skin and armor. My cousin had to pull me off the field to make me stop playing. Do you really think a broken finger's going to phase me?" she asked, grinning. "Braking a finger's like breaking a nail. It doesn't hurt me." she tossed the quaffle back at her, hard.

bella giggled. watching people get hurt was very entertaining.
