Jac had not been to The Three Broomsticks in a long time and was in the mood for a butterbeer so after class one sun shiny day, Jac headed down to Hogsmeade and The Three Broomsticks. She walked into the inn and breathed in deeply the smoky air. It was such a pleasant smell and reminded her of Allona's wedding.
She went to the bar and ordered a butterbeer from Faith Hearty, who she had always admired for her devotion to this job. Having acquired her drink, Jac weaved her way through the many crowed tables and found an empty one. She sat down, facing the inn, and watched the people there as she often did, happily sipping her butterbeer.

Alex was beginning to get a head ache, all the loud kids pushing and shoving each other. Alex decided to close his eye and clear his mind. Which for most is relaxing, but for him it made it worst. Tons of students thoughts came pouring into his head. He needed to open his eyes and quick, when he did he saw Jac, one of his students. "Oh hello Jac." he said walking up to her. He needed someone to talk to and she was a very smart student.

Jac had to swallow hard before she spat her mouthful of butterbeer over the professor. Chocking slightly, Jac coughed and set her mug down on the table. "Professor," she spluttered, coughing again, "what a surprise!" She wiped her mouth with the back of her hand.
Honestly, she was surprised to see the new professor at Hogsmeade and she was even more surprised that he had approached her. She hadn't realised it but her hair had turned a violent shade of red. "What are you doing here?" she managed, through her spluttering.

"Well I did come here because it wasn't loud, but now everyone is here." he said noticing that her hair changed red. "Nice hair" he added, she really did have nice hair. Then tons of students rushed in, bumping in to him as they tried to find a seat.

Jac smiled at the professor, mostly just to hid her utter surprise and confusion. "Thanks," she said, fingering a lock of her now curly hair, "nifty trick, if you ask me." She brushed her hair behind her ear and it went straight again. She noticed the pained expression on the professor's face as a group of Ravenclaw girls stormed into the Three Broomsticks.
She watched them, waved at the few she knew, smiled, then turned back to the professor. "Please," she gasped, realising how rude she was being, "take a seat." The gaggle of girls had found a table and were now cramming around it. She smiled, glad she didn't travel in a gaggle. "You've come to the wrong place, Prof, to find somewhere quiet." She took another sip of her butterbeer and watched the professor over the rim of her glass.

"I'll never believe a 3rd year Slytherin again." he said jokingly. The real reason why he came here instead of all the other places was that he had been everywhere except here. He wanted to try something new for once. " Why does everyone come here?" he asked after thinking to himself.

"I think your first mistake, professor," she said, smiling, "was trusting a Slytherin at all." She laughed to herself, taking another sip of her butterbeer. She studied the professor as he looked around and turned her hair black. She enjoyed changing her hair colour and so did it often.
She smiled, very chuffed with herself, and shrugged to the professor's question. "I guess it's for the ..." she thought quickly, what's that word Father uses? "Ambiance!" She found it. She grinned to herself and watched two warlocks arm-wrestle while being cheered on by another rather short man standing on a chair. "Where else will you be able to see that?" she asked nodding towards the spectacle.

"Hmm, that seem logical." he said noticing that all the students here really enjoy the oddest things, like two warlocks arm-wrestling. "In my short time here I've noticed that you and a lot of other Gryffindors really, uh, whats the word? Oh, dislike, you guys really dislike Slytherins." he said knowing that it is usually the Slytherins who start the feuds here.

Jac nodded at the absurd statement. "Of course!" she said defiantly, "and they hate us just as much!" She crossed her arms and leaned on the table, her hair flashing a hot red like her burning cheeks. "It's tradition," she informed the professor. "But they're not all bad, some go out of their way to prove that to us non-believers."
She lifted her mug of butterbeer and sipped it again.

"Well I can tell that pissed you off," he said not knowing if the school allowed teachers to say pissed. "I knew a Slytherin, well not he's gone, but he always returns." he said talking about one of his good friends. "He told me that all Slytherins are stupid because some hate each other." he added scratching the back of his neck.

Jac frowned at the mention of a disappearing Slytherin. Jac could not think of anyone who frequently vanished so shrugged and moved on to the next topic. "Some are so thick headed that they think that just because they're in Slytherin means that everyone, including their fellows Slythers, are out to get them." Jac shrugged, "they're all a weird bunch." She sipped her butterbeer and smiled at the professor. "And what are your feelings on Slytherins?"

"Well I can't really say, but if I was a student I would probably hate them. As a teacher I have to deal with them though." he said, and he really didn't like them at all, except for that certain few.

Jac shrugged. "Good point!" she said, picking up her mug again, "guess you can't be too biasted or prejudace to some students and all that." She sipped her butterbeer and drained it. She looked at the bottom of her mug and shrugged again, setting the mug down on the table.

"Nope, if the wrong student heard me say something like that I could be fired, but I trust you." he said, he trusted most, except Slytherins. He then saw her shrug at the fact that she a finally finished her Butterbeer." You know you could always get another one." he added.

Jac smiled, impressed that she had made such an impression on the new professor. She giggled and laughed. "Oh yes," she said, picking up her empty glass. "I'll be right back," she began to walk towards the bar when she stopped and looked at the professor. "Can I get you anything, Professor?" She smiled at the man and waited mid-stride for his answer.
