Adam simply smirked. "Oh you know it." he replied in his usual husky drawl that he knew drove Lidia insane. "Hmm... what shall I do to you next?" he pretended to ponder as he continued to snog her silly.

Adam laughed, he kissed her some more, then with regret he broke off the kiss and sat up pulling Lidia up after him. "As fun as this is, we should probably stop before we get arrested for indecent public behavior!" he said half-joking, half-serious.

Lidia laughed along with him. It slightly saddened her when he stopped, but it was for the best. "You're probably right." She said, laying her head on his shoulder. "I like this. Do you know how comfortable you are?" She asked. What's he going to do about the whole adopted situation? Lidz thought to herself. "Addy..." She sighed, slightly drifting off into sleep.

Adam laughed softly. "I've been told I'm rather comfortable." he admitted, when he didn't recieve a reply he looked down and realized that Lidia seemed to have drifted off to sleep. With a smile, he kissed the top of her head and pulled her close to him, wrapping her in his cloak which had been lying on the seat next to them.

Lidia dreamed of the night her family had died. It all started out as a beautiful dream, them all smiling happily. Then, it turned dark, screams and loud crashes. She awoke abruptly, startled by someone grabbing her in her nightmare. She realized she was still in Adam's arms and that she was crying. The only thing she did was clutched onto his shirt and let her tears fall.

Adam was startled to see tears on Lidia's face when she awoke. "Lidia, what's wrong? What happened?" he asked concernedly as he rubbed her back soothingly.

"It's so dark. It's so dark..." She repeated into his chest. It didn't take long for her tears to quit, mostly because of Adam. Her heart was beating so fast and hard it felt almost as if it would explode. When she did finally calm herself she stayed right where she was, safe in his arms.

"Liddy, what happened? Was it a dream?" he asked with worry, he couldn't stand seeing her scared and upset like this. Finally she seemed to calm down, he looked down at her and was relieved to see that the tears had stopped, "Are you okay?" he asked as he held her close.

"Yeah, it was just a dream." She said, pulling his cloak tighter around herself. "Just don't let me go." Lidia replied, not wanting him to worry. She moved herself to where she could be as close to him as possible. These dreams had been plaguing her since she came here. However, they hadn't really happened this bad since she met Adam.

Adam gripped her hand tighter, he looked into her face seriously, all traces of humor gone, "Lidia, I promise that no matter what happens I will never leave you, I will always be here for you. If you're scared, or in doubt, or need a shoulder to cry on, you know where to turn." he said seriously, looking deep into her beautiful eyes. "I love you Lidia."

"Okay, I love you too, but we have to stop with all of this mushy, lovey-dovey stuff... Adam, I'm sorry to bring this up right now, but you and I can't do this."She said, gesturing to them. "I need you more than I will ever admit, but I'm not good for you. We're to different." She said, holding back her tears.
Lidia didn't want things with Adam to end, but she didn't want to get to close to him. She didn't want to get hurt.
He had her heart and he could do anything with it. And that's something that she wasn't about to let happen. Not once in her life had she let anyone this close and with her family gone... She doubted she would ever let anyone close to her ever again.

Adam just stared, his voice seemed to have been ripped from his throat, "L-Lidia, w-what are you saying?" he whispered, hoping that it wasn't what he feared. He looked into her eyes, "Lidia, why are you so scared to let me in? You know that I won't hurt you. I'd rather kill myself before I even thought about hurting you! Please, just tell me what's wrong!" he was practically begging now, and he was having a hard time holding back the tears, he knew people were staring but he didn't give a merlin. His world was falling apart, and the only person that kept him sane was probably breaking up with him.
