Bellatrix came to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, wondering whether she should enter. She took a few tenative steps in, and gained some courage. She inhaled deeply, and strode in confidently. She walked for about five minutes, ample time to venture deep into the forest. She ws feeling comfortable now, and got lost in her thoughts. She walked for an hour and looked around.
Where was she?
She began to panic. She should not have come in here with out her sister or an escort. She began to shake. It was very dark. She backed against a tree and slid down the trunk. She wrapped her arms around her legs and held herself tight.
Would anyone notice her gone? Would someone come looking for her?

Scott was walking through the Forbidden Forest cursing himself and his stupidity. He made no effort to quiet himself and certainly made it clear he was in the forest.
"God! How stupid could I get? Like anyone would be interested in me," he was saying aloud as he stomped throught the thick leaves and branches.
Scott stopped suddenly, aware that we wasn't alone. "Hello?" he called.

Bella, frozen to the tree, and feeling very foolish, heard a voice.
He seemed to be talking to himself. She didnt move, as to remain unnoticed. She was curious.
"God! How stupid could I get? Like anyone would be interested in me," She heard him say. "Hello?"
Bella stepped out from behind the tree. "Hello." she answered. She immediately was confused. He was perfectly attractive. Why would it be so stupid to assume someone was interested in him?
She realized he was a Gryffindor, but shrugged that off. She was lost, and not in any position to pick the house of her rescuer.

Scott gave a sigh of releif when another student appeared. He smiled and ran a hand over his hair, "I'm sorry if I scared you," he said sticking his hands in his pockets, "I was just, well, I'm not sure what I was doing actually but I think I was heading back towards the school."
Scott looked around quick to see if he knew where he was and shrugged, "Like I said, I think that's where I'm going," he said with a laugh.
Scott stood there for a moment looking at her then cleared his throat, "I'm Scott Brooks," he said with a warm smile.

"Bellatrix Black," she said with a small smile. "And dont tell me you're lost too!"
She leaned lightly against the tree in defeat.

Scott laughed, "I'm pretty sure I'm not lost, how bout that?" he asked walking over towards her. He stopped a few feet away from her, giving her space in case she was uncomfortable. "In fact, I know the school is that way," he said pointing to the east, "It's just the matter of getting there that confuses me," he honestly stated.

Bellatrix took a few steps closer. "Well you're a lot better off than I was. I might have never gotten out of here." Bella looked closer at the boy, and recognized him from around the castle. She'd seen him with her friend Diana once.
So far this boy has been able to talk to two, possibly more, Slytherins and come away unscathed. Bella thought to herself. He must be....either very lucky or very special.

Scott smiled, "So what's a girl like you doing out here anyway? I mean, I know you're a slytherin and very capable of taking care of yourself but you don't seem like the type that goes into the forbidden forest alone."

"Well, it isn't allowed, so I basically had to," Bella said jokingly. "Being a Slytherin and all. I can understand why you came here. Gryffindors, brave, courageous, and what not.
"And you're right. I dont usually go anywhere alone. But, I'm kinda glad I did."

Scott laughed, "The only reason I came in here was to get away from everyone. It had nothing to do with the whole Gryffindors being brave and what-not. It's a quiet place, ya know?"
Scott smiled, "So, why are you glad you came in her alone?" he asked. "Oh and would you like me to escort you back towards the castle? I mean, since I'm heading that way anyway."

or did she? yes. she decided. were she caught alone in the forrest with a gryffindor, especially a very attractive gryffindor guy, terrible rumors run wild, none of which she wished to be spread.

Scott smiled, "Follow me then, if you don't mind," he said placing his hands in his pockets and taking a few steps towards the direction he had pointed earlier.
Scott looked at her then in the direction they were heading, "So, Bella, what's it like being a Slytherin?" Scott asked with a smile, "I'm sure its more interesting than being a Gryffindor. And please, don't let the whole me being a Gryffindor stop you from talking to me. I'd like to get to know you more if its alright."

bella followed, hands clasped behind her back and trying to keep up. "i suppose i can talk to you, just dont tell anyone," she joked. "and its great! people just expect you to be mean, and we fulfill their expectations. well, i dont suppose 'mean' is the correct term. were more 'cuttingly honest and sarcastic'-ahhhh!"
bella tripped over a tree root, and fell very gracelessly on her face.
