Old Tricks [[Cont. From Lakeside]]

Kim walked slowly to the edge of the forest, a smile tugging at her lips and the creaking sound of the trees ringing throughout her ears. The breeze swept under her dark hair, blowing it across her neck in a scalf like fashion. Kim's leather boots felt heavy on the now soft mood as she looked down at the ground.

She began walking slowly into the forest, Kim had forgotten how dark is was in here as the darkness seemed to swallow her whole. Though, through her travels, she had learnt a few nifty tricks, hence, seeing in the dark. Though she wasnt about to tell anybody else that, some of her secrets had managed to get her in a hoard of trouble while she was away, she was more than happy none of her friends were with her during those times.

Kim turned around and looked back out over the grounds, seeing Helia still immersed in conversation with Aly and whoever the other person was, Kim hadnt caught his name. Still, she walked to a tree and leant on it, thinking about all the things this place, and herself, had put not only Kim, but other people through.

After leaving Helia to talk with the infuriating Amadeus, Aly followed Kim into the forest, she pulled her black velvet cloak around her tighter, or at least it looked black at first glance, but if you looked closer, you noticed that it was actually a very deep burgundy red that had shimmery silver threads in it, Aly looked down approvingly at her outfit. She was wearing a white, long-sleeved blouse, and black suede, waterproof pants that were tucked into black, suede, waterproof boots that reached up to mid-thigh. She knew it wasn't the most practical of outfits, but hey, at least it kept her warm, after searching for Kim for a minute, she found the other girl leaning against a tree and made her way over to her. "Hey, Kim, ready to wreak some havok?" she asked with a miscievous glitter in her ice blue eyes, her pale, white blond hair, was being whipped around by the wind, after several fruitless attempts to keep it out of her face, Aly finally pulled her hair back into a sloppy yet elegant ponytail. She smiled at Kim and said, "So what did you think of Amadeus? Personally, I don't like him, there's something about him that says he's trouble..."

"If he's trouble then ill like him" She stated matter of factly, silently wondering what a pristine girl was doing out here anyway. She kept that one to herself though and folded her arms across her chest, her dark hair blowing around her. "Dont be too quick to judge a book by its cover, you'll never know how good the story is inside"

She lifted her arms above her head, looking around in the perfect darkness most would have trouble seeing in, but Kim found it easy. She waited for Helia to join them then they could figure out something to do.

"Not without me!" said Helia, sprinting up to where the other girls were standing. Although it might've been a bit of trouble to find Kim were she alone, Aly's scarlet cloak gave away her spot easily. She tapped the girl on the shoulder, "Um, unless you want to send a warning signal to the ministry that we're about to blatantly disobey their orders, you might want to put that away... Hold on."

She held her wand up towards Ravenclaw tower and focused, "Accio Omnis!" it was much easier to perform the spell verbally than mentally, though she knew she'd have to practice it both ways for Charms, but this was an easy way to get what she needed quickly.
Three long cloaks flew out the tower window, all neutral colors; one black, one dark brown, and one dark green. She held them up and said, "Might be best if we had some sort of camoflauge in there. From what I hear, the forest animals have been getting pretty restless. Don't want to be caught unawares now do we?"

"I thought the whole point of this was to get into trouble?" Kim said, slight mock in her tone. She looked down at her own attire wondering why she'd need anything else dark. She had dark blue jeans on and a black tank top. Still she took a jacket anyway.

"The ministry..." Kim mumbled in resentment to herself. How she hated the ministry, but how she couldnt at the same time was really infuritating her. Kim looked at them both wondering if their eyes would cope with the dark of the forest, there would be no light from either moon, star or wand tonight.

Aly accepted her cloak with a reluctant sigh, she hated wearing any color except for black, white, and the darkest of reds. Quickly donning the brown cloak over her own burgundy cloak, she fastened the clasp and turned to the other girls, "Lead the way!"

Kim took the dark green one and threw it over her shoulders. Turning on her heels she walked further into the darkness. She glanced back at Aly and Helia to see if they were following her, when she realised they werent Kim giggled and climbed up a tree, hidden, completley out of view.

"Getting into trouble, yes. Getting caught before we have anyfun? Not on your life, love," she said as she donned the black cape, set a hand on the tree Kim had been leaning against, and began humming softly.

She walked a few steps into the stark black woods, stepping gingerly over rocks and twigs as the sing-song tune escaped her lips. She took two side-steps to the right and looked up in a tree where Kim was hiding, then sat down beneath it and began talking, though she doubted anyone else would know she was specifically talking to the well-hidden Kim.
At least not anyone that couldn't gaia-speak...

"So, where should we go? Centaurs are pretty ticked off at me from what I hear, though I don't know why... um, there's an ancient Unicorn buriel ground somewhere around here... or shall we just go wandering until something strikes our fancy?"

Aly smirked, "I pick the third option, if adventure won't come to us, I say we go to it!" Then Aly realized that Kim seemed to have dissapeared, she turned Helia, "Where did Kim go?"

[Aye, I edited my posty already I figured that since this had been set in wintey times it would be extremly dark and yada yada, but since Halo can "earth talk" she can more or less find her way around... not very well mind you, but well enough]

She smiled through the darkness at the young Slytherin, "Oh, she's probably just hanging around somewhere. She's certainly a nutter from another mother as far as my family tree goes..." she chuckled at her extremly corny jokes, then stood up. "But who's to say?" she took a step, then tripped an fell flat on her face. "Dangit," she stood up again, began humming, and then paced with ease, cloak flowing in a soft breeze that swept through the forest.

Kim smiled as she knew Helia knew she was up there, she was in tune with nature and all things earthly, she didnt know why centaurs would be mad at her though, that struck her as interesting. Kim knew the old tongue for the centaurs but only ever spoke it if she needed to.

She grinned down at Helia as she spoke from the tree, "Well i dont know why the centaurs are mad at you but they are very fickle creatures... Im up for anything me. I dont really mind"
