Alvira had been at Hogwarts now for just under a day. She was yet to speak to anyone. Her social skills on a teenage level were more than lacking and she didn't quite know anything about the things she was supposed to talk about. She was yet to have any sort of crush on anyone and the only things she was used to talking about were aspects of minstry policy.
Alvira's mother had done little to prepare her for the hardship of going to school and knowing no-one. All the preperation Alvira had done was regarding the memorising of the details of her fake identity. No one could know who she really was.
Alvira Deitrich does not exist - only Anna Lewis. Alvira thought to herself over and over as she cast pebbles into the lake.

Maeve was being bored lately, it seemed. And that's not a good thing with this little Malfoy. She pulled more pranks when she was bored. But, these times were exceptions. She was bored, now, because she was trying to find that new student who transfered and the Headmaster had just introduced last night. It was taking longer than expected, so she decided to take a break and go to her favorite spot at Hogwarts.
And lo-and-behold. I should've checked here first. Maeve thought as she saw the new student come into sight. She walked up behind the student. "Anna Lewis, right?" Maeve wanted to confirm that this was indeed the new student and not some person she hadn't met yet.

Alvira turned to look at the girl approaching her. "Yes..? Who are you?" Alvira's speach was harsh and her accent promenant.
Her lack of knowledge regarding interaction between teenagers was obvious. She was not going to let her mother down. Not yet... She hadn't been here long enough to even consider failing. Determined to make an effort Alvira spoke again.
"I'm sorry... My English is... not good. I had no intention of being rude. I'm Anna, you are..?" Alvira smiled.

Erys felt out of place at this school, despite its friendly atmosphere and welcoming halls. She was already out and about, watching and waiting for her chance to make an entrance, be it quiet or with a bang. Without a house to belong to just yet only added to the fact that she wasn't at place anywhere- at least not until that ruddy hat placed her in Slytherin. Erys didn't need any more pressure from her father, who might as well hex her bonkers if she landed in anything but the greatest grouping of them all. "Let him try." The teenager snarled, her voice low. Glancing down at herself suddenly, she felt her eyes roll in annoyance. Of course she didn't have her stupid robes on, it really didn't matter; it wasn't as if there was a clothing-patroller out spying for uniform infractions. Which reminded her.. Did they dress this way all the time? Mother dearest had failed to let her know. Way to raise the stress level, mom.
Erys was dressed in dark-wash blue jeans, with a cream sweater on. Her trademark jewelery was silver hoop earrings, and a silver diamond ring, nothing too glamorous. Her style had to be more classic, or even punk- people often assumed that she preferred to wear street clothes instead of the dress code, which wasn't far from the truth. Spot on, actually. Besides the little wardrobe rant, it hadn't taken Erys long to meander out of the castle, down to the lake she had assumed was deserted. Not the greatest estimation, considering the rapidly multiplying Hogwarts populas. I-Spying the pair of girls by the water's edge, the teenager sighed, leaning against a nearby tree. Crossing her arms over her chest and closing her eyes, she waited for the questions and introductions to be over. It was rude to interrupt, of course.
"Yeah.. Hi. Sorry to butt in, and all, but Im a new student as well. You guys wouldn't mind if I hung out too, right?" Erys questioned, her voice casual, "Im Erys Grace." Erys was pronounced air-iss, if you were curious to know. She really wished she was in Slytherin, a prospect not so far away now that she knew the Sorting Hat also based its decisions on the person's choice. Didn't that boy wonder Harry Potter land himself in Gryffindor because of it? Chyea. Awesome.

Maeve raised an eyebrow at the older girl. She nodded at the girl's explaination of why she came off rude. "No worries. I'm Maeve Emerald Malfoy Junior, you can call me Maeve or Malfoy, just not Junior; anything but Junior, really."
Upon hearing some other girl coming, Maeve turned around. "Oh, yes. You, too, were introduced last night, weren't you?" Maeve nodded to the newest girl, Erys. "Maeve Emerald Epans Junior, call me whatever you like, but Junior."

Glad to know she wasn't unwelcome, Erys nodded, allowing a brief frown to bend her lips at the mention of her introduction. "Yes.. I haven't been sorted yet, though." Pausing, she added, "Im set on getting Slytherin." Grinning, she eased herself away from the tree, coming close enough to be considered part of the conversation. Maeve it was, then. "Are there many animagi at Hogwarts?" Strange yes, but Erys was inspired to ask an odd question. Nobody knew at the moment of her animagi status but the headmaster, and her parents, and that private tutor her father had hired to hone her ability. Recalling this while shoving her hands into her pockets, she rolled her shoulders back, relieving them of a bothersome kink. It was stiff just standing there.
Erys was too fresh to Hogwarts to know if there was an animagi class, nor did she care if there was one. She could transform while keeping every aspect and thought of her human mind intact, which was perfect. She didn't need any more training.

"Animagi?" Alvira asked pointlessly. She was just confirming the word in her head.
Alvira was sure that you needed to be 17 to get a licence to be an Animagi. However, as always, students find a way to do what they want regardless of the rules.
Alvira was unsure why this girl was asking about Animagi, surely she didn't have the power? No... Alvira thought... She must just be oddly curious...
"I do not think there are many Animagi. I believe that there is proffessor who has power... But i do not know of students." Alvira answered her broken english hindering her communication. "Why do you ask?"

Powerful Slytherin families seemed to make an exception to this rule. "You know, a witch or wizard be able to transform into a single animal and still retain their human mind." Erys should already be logged and registered in the ministry, because of the tutor her father hired. Unless that teacher was illegal, than she was home-free. She doubted she'd get herself into any trouble with it, because the teachers at Hogwart's werent prone to punish for a talented ability. That would be the opposite of what they were here for; to train minds. Stretching her arms out, Erys shrugged in responce to Alvira's question, wearing a strictly neutral look on her face. "I was just curious, you know? It seems like a really cool power." Yada yada. Well, judging by this girl's reaction, the people here didn't explore animagus much. Which was great, she'd be one of the few lucky enough to possess that talent.
Grinding her boots in the dirt, Erys gave away no more about animagi or anything of the like on her face, keeping it strictly unreadable. She didn't know who these two girls were. She had no idea if they would blab or not, so it would be her dirty little secret for now.

After yet another fruitless search that had lasted for far longer than it should have Chloe stepped out from under the light eaves of the forbidden forest. It was resplendant in all its glory given the dazzling sunlight and cool, refreshing breeze that gently flicked wisps of Chloe's ethereal white hair back. Shading her dazzling eyes from the glare of the sun Chloe surveyed her surroundings, gratefully taking in the warming sight of the lake; some cool water splashed in her face about now would be perfect. Bidding adieu to her fellow Magical Law Enforcement Officer who was clearly suffering from lack of sleep; due to the prominent bags under his eyes and the drawn look, Chloe was about to report to the Minister of Enlgihtenment's Office directly to make her completely useless and simply mundane daily report, when she espied three girls talking amiably at first glance, yet on focusing she could tell they weren't accustomed to each others company.
Making to simply walk past and dapple her sore feet in the lake she listened intently yet feigned complete disinterest, with eyes seemingly roving randomly about and feet taking her directly lakeside. In reality she listened intently hearing a snippet of conversation,; which instantly aroused her interest; not suspicions particularly, but mainly unfeinged interest. Smiling she glided over to the girls recognising one instantly for she was important; but swiftly pretended she did not and greeting them all cheerily. "Hello ladies, is it simply the weather that brings you out here? Or yearning for solitude? For you shall doubtless find none hereabouts. The lakeside is always bustling." She shot each a cool calculating glance; all seemed to be hiding things.

Erys glanced to the strange woman, familiar with the Hogwarts teachers enough to know that this person wasn't one of them. Pressing her lips together to prevent any further discussion about the animagi topic while hoping the other two would do the same, she stretched a leg out, pretending to study the scuff-marks on her boots. The lady's question caused her to look up, noticing instantly the thinking look the other possessed. Wondering what Im up to? Erys thought, her face betraying nothing of the secret she held. "I was just trying to get a feel for the Hogwarts grounds. Im new here." She answered coolly, her voice calm seeing as everything was under control. Nobody here knew but her. Maeve and Alvira would just assume she was curious, because transforming into an animal was a cool talent to possess. It was doubtful they'd label her an animagi unless she just showed them what she could do. Which she wouldn't, because some strange adult was present. Who should've at least introduced herself.
"Who are you?" Erys asked, pretending to be only slightly interested. It wasn't often, at least in her life, that she be approached while in conversation by someone who didn't even bother to say their name before joining right in. Sliding her hands into her jean pockets, she looked quickly at Alvira and Maeve, giving them one of those looks that asked 'Do you know her?'.

The girl was handling herself well; keeping cool and level-headed, but clearly shushing something up. She offered little respect; but that was to be expected from children these days; basic manners were rarely instilled properly in them. Chloe didn't particularly demand respect; she usually just received it. Giving the girl a glance that spoke wonders Chloe's features alighted into a smile; she's hiding something, but whatever it is can't be as important was my mission.
"Someone should give you a proper tour of the place and all its wonders, of course you know to keep out of the forest?" She asked setting a little trap that an unwary opppnent could easily fall into. It was imperative that students stayed away; for their own security but also the safety of others too.
As Chloe had expected the girl's answers were short and curt; people immediately going defensive simply aroused her suspicions, but the question was normal enough, and required the truthful answer; "Chloe Greenwich; Magical Law Enforcement." Unlike her brother she tended not to ramble off a long title; simple and to the point was satisfactory. "Just arrived then have you..?" She left a definite clear pause for the girl to supply her name; not answering would simply seem rude.

Erys wasn't prone to accepting tours - if thats what the official was offering - of anywhere, and she wasn't about to break that habit. Keeping her face strictly neutral with that same, composed attitude, she nodded her head. "Someone already offered, but I declined. I'd rather explore myself." By doing it that way, she wasn't reliant on the guide, but on herself instead. "I know to stay out of the Forbidden Forest." Erys added, already informed of the do's and do not's of Hogwarts. Which happened to be an impressive list, in case you didn't know. So shes a Ministry worker? She thought to herself, wondering what business she had here by the lake. Unlike the more up to date students of Hogwarts, Erys didn't know about the drama of whos against who. It wasn't her gig, stupid fights and unnecessary deaths. They seemed pointless, really.
"Erys Grace." She stretched her hand out to shake, figuring now was the time to be more polite than usual. The teenager wasn't this civil at first meeting, dont forget; no wonder she was destined for Slytherin. "I arrived last night. I haven't been sorted yet." Dropping the fact that she was hell-bent on getting the serpent house, Erys couldn't help but wonder what her family, a long line of Slytherins, would do to her if she landed in anything but Slytherin.

"Anna Lewis." Alvira introduced herself. "I am also new here. I also know not to enter the forest. I was given tour when I arrive at school." Her English was bound to inprove in time but at the moment it still gave her bother.
Alvira was worried about this Ministry Official. She, of course, would not be recognised. No-one from the ministry had ever seen Alvira with her mother. She had spent lots of time wandering around the ministry buildings but that she did alone. Anyone working for the ministry would merely recognise her as someone who once visited the ministry. That is if they recognised her at all.
"It is wonderful to see such a strong ministry presence at this school. It is nice to see we are protected." Alvira said in a sarcastic way. She had to start playing her role at some point... now was as good a time as any.

Maeve listened to the two girls for a few minutes. She heard someone else coming and turned to see a woman walking to them. Listening, again, to the now three other girls, she thought since they has introduced themselves, it would be kind to introduce herself.
"I'm Maeve Malfoy. I've been here since my first year. And I know to stay out of the Forbidden Forest, but I never do." she smirked. "It's like a third home for me. Hogwarts being first, and the lakefront being my second.
"Why's the Ministry here, again? I thought Hogwarts had good defenses already? Why worry the Ministry with us kids?" she asked out of pure curiosity.

"I quite agree!" Alvira chirped up. "It is vell known that the Headmaster of Hogwarts is usually the strongest wizard alive anyway. Who would possibly think to harm children when he is around."
"Not that Professor Darrow would ever harm anyone... He seems like such a cuddly old man... like a... what is word..." Alvira's vocabulary was letting her down again. A girl named Anna was likely to know the right word - she knew. Despite this she could not find the word.
"Grandfather!" She eventually exclaimed gleefully.
"One would perhaps think that allowing witches and wizards such as yourself would perhaps add to the risk... present company excluded of course." Alvira was enjoying this. Hopefully this little rant would allow Anna to make a little splash on her first few days at hogwarts.
"I am new here though... I do not know situation fully... forgive me." She smiled.
