Erys had been somewhat relieved to know that she wasn't the only one enrolling in Hogwarts so deep within the third term- many more people besides her would have their arms full of homework they missed. She had taken precautions and studied up before her arrival, so no problems there. Unfortunately Erys had misplaced her Ancient Runes book on the way, so that class might pose a slight problem until she found it somewhere in her large suitcase. They speak so freely to the Ministry.. How impressive. She thought, casting a glance of approval at each. At the mention of Proffesor Darrow, her eyes widened. "Cuddly old man?!" Erys repeated, her gaze skeptical. ew ew ew ew. Who wanted to snuggle with an old dude anyway? Relaxing her posture as Alvira mentioned the word 'grandfather', an amused smile spread her lips. "What is a Ministry Official doing here?" She wondered, sounding rather suspicious. It wasn't in Erys' nature to be easily trusting, especially with an adult.
Ah, but the headmaster wasn't around. Not here, at least. If it werent for the serious outnumbering they would have been at the mercy of this strange woman named Chloe Greenwich. She probably wasn't here about her animagi status, Erys was registered nice and legal. She was young, yes, but talented, and in complete possession of her human mind while in cat form. Check, that wasn't the problem. On another note, did the headmaster know of the Ministry people creeping around the grounds like ghosts?

Eyebrows raising fractionally as Erys politely refused the offer she guessed she'd have done the same in her position; exploring for yourself was more dangerous, and therefore far more rewarding, but any of the girls had better not be caught by anyone, if they were the consequences were likely to be quite dire, whether it was their first offense or not. The Ministry was ruthlessly efficient, and the Minister of Enlightenment herself had refreshed and revamped the laws, rulebreakers were dealth with harshly; to prevent them breaking laws ever again.
"But you'll go in anyway I guess?" She asked with a smirk, "but honestly that place is out of bounds for a reason, the Shrieking Shack was fun enough to venture into, but the forest really was dangerous, and has only gotten more so." She spoke softly speaking sincerly as she didn't want to find their mutilated corpses one night when she was out patrolling, or rather searching. Giving Maeve a cold stare Chloe urged, "I'd make a lofty tower my third home if I were you, there are dangers you can't possibly imagine in there, I know you won't likely listen, but I have to try telling you the truth, it's your own folly that takes you in there; and don't come crying to me if you survive with cuts and ugly bruises." She said in a dark tone looking suspiciously at the three.
Lightening her tone somewhat she smiled faintly, "I'll keep my eye upon you three, I can't imagine you not getting yourself into just a little trouble. Though of course I condemn such actions." Eyes twinkling she remembered vividly her days adventuring, they really weren't all that long ago, though she'd enjoyed the peaceful times she still wouldn't stop her job for the world.
"We like to look out for the future generation it's true," and make sure they are instilled with the correct morals and values for the new regime.. "The protection in Hogwarts cannot be beaten, but we have other reasons for being here, ones I'm unfortunately not at liberty to divulge to anybody." She shrugged her shoulders apologetically; knowing how infuriating it would be to know so little, they should really find out information for themselves; it was always the best way.
"Oh no Professor Darrow wouldn't harm anyone within the school, nobody within his protection, assuredly not. But nobody can keep you lot all tucked up safe in your beds, you go looking for trouble. Trouble is likely to find you these days though," she muttered darkly casting a glance about to make sure nobody was listening, "the present situation is dire, with tremendous strife, but don't worry, the Ministry is keeping law and order." She spoke leaving many details enough, it was enough to wet their appetites, but also enough to forstall further questions and give them some feelings of safety.
"Risk would be here regardless of our presence, dark witches and wizards will destroy anyone, don't think I speak idle threats and rumours, it is fact. Though I can inform you of little; as details are confidential, we don't want widespread panic now do we?" Chloe asked with a gleam in her eyes.
