Sometimes you get sudden impulses to do something stupid and looking around the dirty dungeon corridors Deianira was thinking she had done just that. Sure the idea of being in a dungeon has a certain appeal it did even now, but being in one with out a flash-light wrote a whole nother story. Deianira banged her flash-light up against the wall as it dimmed again hoping it would get brighter for awhile, it did, then it flickered and went out. The sudden darkness consumed her whole being; she was scared. Anyones natural solution to this problem is to run back the way they had came, but Deianira was lost utterly lost and alone.

Scott was hiding behind a stone wall, not on purpose or anything, he just liked to get away from those evil prefects. He heard a banging and came out to see what it was, "of course," he said as he walked up to her. He turned on his flashlight suddenly, "Lost?" he asked pointing it at her and handing her his spare flashlight, "Here, I think you need this more than I do, " he said with a smile.

Suddenly being blinded, Deianira almost screamed. Then seeing that it wasn't any huge frightening troll she relaxed a bit. "Thank you, but without your flash light how will you find your way out?" She was curious why he was down here, more curious though, why anyone would venture down here; even curious to why she had ventured down here in the first place.

Scott shrugged, "I have another one, It's pretty much manditory when you're going down here. In my father's words, 'Always have a back up plan, Son,'" he said mocking his father. Scott laughed, "Besides, I think I got this whole, maze of a dungeon down pat. I'm sure I could find my way out without a flashlight, though I'm not brave enought to test that theory out quite yet."
Scott looked at her, "What are you doing down here anyway? If you don't mind me asking. I'm a curious guy, I gotta ask questions," he said with a laugh.

Deianira laughed a little. "I wanted to explore down here; I was hoping to unearth a mystery or some secret plot." She laughed a bit at her own silly thinking. Knowing it was silly. She looked around at the dungeon walls. It was the sort of place that something sinister could happen though.. "So, what are you doing down here. You seem quite comfortable which is more then I am down here even with a flash light."

Once again Scott shrugged, "I had to get away from my stalkers," he joked. He leaned against the cold stone wall, "Actually, I was just getting away. Needed to clear my mind and what not. You know how it is."
Scott sighed, "Name's Scott, Scott Brooks, and I'm actually new here, believe it or not. I was looking around and found it to be alot more quiet down here than anywhere else. I like quiet."

"Yes, I understand Hogwarts can feel rather crowded at times." She smiled understanding that it must be hard to come here later and try to fit in and make friends.
Scott.. She thought, it was a nice name she had a dog named Scott, but that's not actactly the best thing to say to someone you have just met."I'm Deianira Dreezel. I really understand about finding a quiet place everywhere is so over-run with students that it's quite noisey most of the time."

Scott smiled, she seemed pretty nice, not to mention she was good looking. He let himself slide down the stone wall until he was seated on the cold floor beneath them. He patted to the spot next to him with a smile, "Would you like a seat?" he asked looking up at her. "I mean, you look like you could use a rest. Besides, I think we'll be fine here, I don't hear anything that is most likely to kill us," he said with a laugh.

Deianira smiled and sat down beside him on the floor gasping a little as the cold came in contact with her rear. "No, it doesn't look like anything is going to kill us, but you must never judge by appearances." She laughed, "besides that brick over there is very sinister looking." She smiled glad to have someone to talk to.

Scott looked at the brick and laughed, "Well if it tries anything funny, I'll hex it before it can get to you," he said leaning forward. "So, Deianira, how do you like it here?" he asked, trying to make friendly convo.
((I'm adding more later, I just got writers block))

((it's ok it happens to everyone))
"Oh, well thank you sir knight for offering to save me from the terrible and deadly dragon or brick in this case." She laughed and paused as she heard her laughter echo along the walls.
"Well, if you mean down here in this dungeon actually it's growing on me. Having you to talk to definatly made it more bearable if not almost nice." She smiled over at him and leaned back against the wall.

Scott laughed, "Well I'm glad I could brighten someone's day," he said wiping his hands on his jeans. He turned to her and smiled, "You're pretty easy to talk to if I may say so myself. Though, I don't know if I'm stepping some invisible boundary by saying that but at least it's the truth," he said turning his head toward the opposite wall.

She laughed lightly and smiled. "No, it's ok. Thank you I'm glad you think so it's just nice to know." She turned her head to look around her but only seeing dark blobs in the everlasting black she looked back over to Scott. Seeing he had his head turned she nudged him gently with her elbow.
"So, Uhhh.. what classes are you taking?" She knew it sounded pretty lame but she couldn't think of anything else, and she hoped it didn't sound too stupid.

Scott shrugged, "Well, you know, the usual ones. I haven't exactly taken the time to sign up for any interesting classes yet, but its on my to-do list," he answered, picking up his flashlight and shining it at the opposite wall.
"Do you have any, um, opinions on what classes I should take?" he asked, turning his head toward her. "Or any preferences?"

"Hmmm.. Well, Defence against the dark arts is fun... Charms class, muggle studies can be a bit of a drag, and well care of magical creatures is very interesting."
"Those one fill up the fastest though. It's not easy to get in later but it's possible." She looked up suddenly hearing the noise of students walking back and forth a little dust from the ceiling came and settled on her head. Laughing she brushed it away and coughed a little as it got in her lungs.
