Russell took out a piece of parchment from his pocket and unfolded it. He read the list and nodded. Upon entering the Library, Russell folder the parchment and head directly to the Care of Magical Creatures section. He looked along the higher shelves before moving down and muttered to himself, "where is it?"

Allison, upon hearing someone enter the area, let her eyes flicker above the pages of her book for a moment. She barely caught sight of whom she was fairly sure was a boy, making his way into what she knew was the Care of Magical Creatures section. She looked curiously at the space where he had been, furrowing her brows slightly in wonder. Why would anyone be interested in that? She asked herself silently. But she shrugged it off, bringing her focus to the book, which in truth, was turning out up to be reasonably boring.

Russell sighed and leaned against the shelf behind him. He crossed his arms and leaned his whole weight on the bookshelf. It groaned and began to move backwards. Russell jumped off the shelf and grabbed a rack, hoping it wouldn't come loose.
It didn't. He sighed and pulled the shelf upright again. "That's the last time I'm ever leaning on something that isn't a wall," he said to himself, still in slight shock. Then a pair of eyes to the left of the shelf caught his eye. He looked.
But that time the ravenclaw girl had turned back to her book. Russell smiled at her and took a few steps closer to her. He put the back of his hand to his mouth and whispered, "sorry about that! Don't know my own strength sometimes." He laughed quietly then went back to his inspection.

Allison shifted uncomfortably in her place on the reading chair, gazing up once more when she heard the small creaking of the bookshelf. It seemed to her that it was starting to tip, however in a moment, she reasoned that it was just a trick of the light. She glanced back at the book, only to be interrupted once again by the creaking, getting a tad louder this time. Finally, it occurred to her that the bookshelf was actually leaning over and may even tip. She watched nonchalantly, not caring enough about the incident to investigate further, although she was thanking Merlin she wasn't behind it. The shelf lingered back and forth for a moment before returning to it's previous state. Now that it was prominent that the bookshelf wasn't going to start some kind of chain reaction, she couldn't help but feel a little aggravated.
She raised an eyebrow as the boy walked over to her. "Cute." She muttered with a raised eyebrow to the stranger. Her tone was obviously sarcastic. She watched as he started wandering away, back to his previous task. "What are you looking for, anyway?" She pondered out loud.

Andie, hearing the voices decided to investigate. She turned the corner and came face to face with another Ravenclaw girl and... "Russell!" she gasped in surprise at seeing the boy she had confessed her love for. Who had then dissapeared without a trace. Andie stumbled back in shock, "Where have you been? Why didn't you write me?" she asked breathlessly. Not willing to wait for an answer she impulsively hugged Russell, then as if shocked, sprang back. "I-I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done that." she whispered softly as she turned away to leave...

Russell gave a proud smile, that the new girl did not see, before turning o her again and pulling out the piece of parchment and reading off it, "Blood Brothers: My Life Amongst the Vampires by Eldred Worple." he looked up at the girl again, smiling charmingly again then added, "you haven't seen it, have -"
He was interrupted by a familiar voice. Russells eyes went wide before he turned to smile at Andie. "Andie, hi!" he said coolly, and was about to ask her something when instead she bombarded him with questions. "Oh well you see ..." he started. Then Andie apologized and turned to leave.
Russell instinctively moved forwards and took her hand. "Don't be like that," he said. "Join us! We were just looking for a book, weren't we?" He smiled at the other girl and lead Andie to the same table, seating her down gently.

Just as Allison was about to pull out another sarcastic remark, a fellow Ravenclaw girl came out of nowhere and started harassing the boy, or at least it looked like it from her point of view. She watched as the girl started to leave, only to be called back by the boy.
"We?" She asked, barely managing to keep her voice light as the two sat. With a small, angered sigh she cupped her hand over the side of her face. It wasn't the most comfortable situation for Allison who didn't even know the two's names. She figured both of them must have been one or two years older than her, which somehow added to the mild strangeness.

Russell had stood up again and was walking to another shelf he had not searched when he heard the squeak of the other Ravenclaw. "Yes, we!" Russell said persuasively. "You're the one who was so inquisitive, now you're helping me!" He gave her a wink. "Ah, it's not that bad. It's only a book, right!"
This last sentence was more to convince himself then anyone else. He ran a hand through his hair - it's getting long! he thought distractedly - then turned back to the younger girl. "What's your name?" he asked if it had only dawned on him that he didn't know her name. Truth was he didn't much care either way, he was just making conversation.

"You're kidding." Allison mumbled. Could he really blame a Ravenclaw for being curious? Nevertheless, she slid her chair away from the table, standing up. The sooner he got his book, the sooner he left, which meant she could get back to her (boring) book sooner. She faced him, shortly after greeted with a wink. When he asked her for her name, she feared she wouldn't remember it after that. However, after faltering a moment, she spoke up. "Allison."
After another instant of hesitation, she stepped her way over to the shelf, observing the volumes. "And yours?" she questioned casually, tilting her head to the side to scan over titles. "Why would you need a book about vampires in the first place?" Allison wondered aloud.

Andie hesitated for a split second before allowing Russell to pull her into a chair. She waited for the other girl and Russell to finish with their dialogue, then spoke. "I'm Andrea Riley. But please, call me Andie." she introduced herself to the other girl with a small smile.

Russell was glad that he hadn't gotten a slap for being as pushy as he was. She stood up and joined him by the shelf. He braised himself for the slap but all he got was her name. Allison ... he ran the name through his head again and again. "Pretty name," he smiled, "name's Russell, Rus if you'd like."
Then came the dreaded question, why indeed. "Well," he said, "you see," he took the list out of his pocket, "it's one of the books on my list." He half unfolded the piece of parchment not wanting either of the girls to see it. Then he flashed the writing at Allison and put it back in his pocket.

Andie watched with half amusement and half annoyance as Rus flashed the list to Allison. Andie gave a small chuckle, "Oh that's real nice Rus, you show the list to someone you just met and yet you won't show it to someone you've known for months!? Yeah, real nice." her eyes twinkled as she teased Russell, and she gave a small smile

"Oh stop being so sensitive, Andie," Russell said playfully, "she didn't see anything and you won't either so stop making such a fuss." Russell was getting slightly annoyed with Andie's dependency and was beginning to think that someone needed to put her in her place. But he was perfectly charming when he did it, of course, he could not stand to be anything less.
He smiled and Andie to tell her there were no hard feelings. He turned back to the shelf and began searching for the book he needed. "Where is it?" he said in frustration. He went down on his haunches and studied the lower shelves.

"Nice to meet you." Allison mumbled back to Andie before turning back to Russell. "It's alright, I guess." she said quietly, her fingers grazing over the sides of the books. She looked back up at him, barely even catching a glimpse of the piece of parchment before it disappeared back inside his pocket. "Why-" she started to say, however her words were interrupted by a small chuckle. Without turning her head back around to look at the other girl, she listened to her words.
"So whats so special about this list?" she asked, suddenly curious, her eyes glancing downwards at Russell.

Andie shrugged. "I have no clue, you'll have to ask Russell. anyway, I've gotta go." and with that, she stood to leave. "Allison- nice to meet you, Russell- good to see you again." she pulled her bag over her shoulder and started to walked away, before she did, she turned to Russell and said, "Oh and by the way, I wasn't being sensitive silly. Ever heard of sarcasm?" She smirked her emerald green eyes twinkling with mirth. With one last glance and smile back at Allison and Russell, she left.
