The Darkness is all around

"Come on, I wonder if my uncle's gone." Jerred said, beginning to crawl out of the small cave they were in.

[Kim Rivers]

Kim followed him. She looked up at the ledge she'd dragged him down. It was muddy and slippery. No way they'd be able to go back that way. "Great" she mumbled

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred turned to her, and smiled, his teeth glinting in the darkness. He laughed a little as he concentrated and felt the changes begin.

He was changed, into a winged horse. His white fur shimmering in the darkness. He nickered at Kim to get on, hoping that she understand him.

Kim rubbed her eyes. She looked at him. She closed her eyes and opened them. "Not a trick of the light then" she climbed onto his back and buried her head in his neck. She fought back the urge to say something really childish.

Jerred felt her warmth, as he cantered out of the small cave. He spread his wings wide, sighed as he hadn't done this before. He looked along the long muddy trail. He breathed in as he began to gallop, spreading his wings wide as he began to flap furiously. He felt his feet leave the ground, excitement fuelling his movements. He beat his wings quicker, lifting further off the ground, until he was soaring over the forest. He could see in the dark, relatively well. He saw animals scouring away through the few clearings, until he spotted a few large shadows on the edge of a thicket.

Kim closed her eyes as he flew over the trees. Kim plus heights equals definate cause for some kind of disaster. The two didnt mix well. Though she just held on and waited for him to do whatever it was he was doing. "Are we going now?" she asked. Though she knew the only answer she'd get is some kind of pegasus sound.

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred laughed. He twitched his ears as he flew over the clearing, trying to spot the movement in the shadows. Nothing. He continued to fly onwards, back to the castle, hearing the sounds of the creatures of the forest.

Jerred flew hard, to garner enough speed and height so he could soar over the large trees and keep Kim safe. He saw the lights of the castle, flickering in the distance. He made a triumphant sound, forcing Kim to shake with shock.

Jerred soared over several more clearings, and saw figures down in them, congregating groups of strange creatures. He made a mental image of them, as he continued to fly onwards to the castle.

He soon saw the sloping grass hills that led back to the school, and descended towards them. He flared his wings, hoping that he would have a soft and safe landing.

He landed, running up the hill to slow his momentum. He continued to gallop up the hill and return to the castles entrance.

As he slowed to a stop, Kim slid off. She wavered slightly but regained her footing. She half smiled. "As long as i never have to do that again ill be fine" she ran her hand over the back of the pegasus. Or gynormous horse, as she reffered to them as.

[Jerred Boneman]

Jerred returned to normal and stood at the door. He turned to Kim before speaking. "I saw some people down in a clearing, I have to go find Professor Wigglyfish." Jerred said, concern riddled in his voice.

Kim glanced back to the forest. "Alright.. Catch you later"

"Do you wanna come?" Jerred asked, taking her hand in his.

[Kim Rivers]

She smiled "Cant it wait?" she laughed "Alright, lets go then"
