"Oh... I'm quite sorry to hear that, Ms. James. No worries. I'm glad to see you back."
Algernon smiles at Helia as she walks in. "Ah, there you are Ms. Ollivander! Now can you tell us why we might be using holly in divination?" His smile is strained, annoyed as he is at having to ask the same question thrice but insistant on appearing cheerful.

She chuckled slightly, "Supposedly..." she began, "If on a friday at midnight you silently gather nine holly leaves, wrap them in a white cloth and fasten them with nine knots before placing them beneath your pillow you will have prophicial dreams." she smiled.

Alana listened with interest. "Wow, I didn't know that" "Of course this is my first year taking Divination so... there's alot of things I don't know yet. But I'd love to learn them" "Who knows? I may end up liking this class better than Potions"

Algernon grins. "Perfect! Absolutely correct! How ever could you have known? 20 points to Ravenclaw!" He hopes vaguely that Draco Malfoy does not realize what is going on, but he supposes it doesn't matter really...
"So, seeing as these plants were picked on a friday at midnight by your very own Divination teacher--" he gives a small bow, "--we will be using them for this very purpose! If you come up to the cabinet on your left you will find cloth. Just follow Helia's instructions, and by your next class hopefully you all will have had those prophetic dreams! That's your homework, by the way. Write them up and owl them to me." He turns and winks at Alana. "And I dearly hope you do, Ms. James! Not to say that Potions isnt a wonderful subject."

She walked over to the cabinet and picked up one of the white cloths. She carefully wrapped the Holly leaves in it and tied nine knots to secure them in place. She held the little bundle with curiosity, "This ought to be interesting..." she smirked slightly.

Fin scoffed. "Prophetal dreams? Come on man, what a crock," Fin said as he went up to the cabinet to get the cloths.

"Don't be so quick to laugh, Mr. McFinnigan! This has worked for many a wizard who has not the slightest Sight. It might even work for someone as staunchly down to earth as you!" Algernon jokes.
He glances at Draco Malfoy, who seems normal if a bit stiff. He hopes that the boy isn't too bothered by having to be around him after what he saw, but... nothing much he can do.
Besides, he has his own problems to worry about.
Kieron's face looms in his mind. Grief.
Rainer's, anger.
...But love, too.

"Hmm. Prophetic Dreams? Interesting. I'll have to see if this actually works." Aileen said to herself, getting up from her desk and heading over to the cabinet, holly leaves in her hands. She had always thought of divination as an interesting subject, and hopefully she would have some interesting dreams that night. Taking a cloth, she placed her leaves into it and folded it so that the leaves couldn't fall out, planning to tie the knots into it that night. Maybe she would go to bed early.

"Oh ha ha ha," Fin said to Algernon as he made his way back to his desk. "Any similarity between a dream and what really happens is mere coincidence." He looked to the class and threw up his hands. "Logic my friends, logic!"

Draco listened to Ollivander's answer, an indifferent facade on his face, though if one were to look closely they'd see his clenched jaw.
"Ah yes. Good job, Ollivander." He sneered, getting up from his table and walking over to the cabinet. "Though, I can see why you'd know so much about Divination. You are so very good with playing with people's minds, after all, hm?"
He grabbed the holly and went back to his seat, his eyes back on the professor. Looking back at his desk, he scowled to himself, before doing what was assigned reluctantly.

"Am I?" she asked, feigning surprise. She had tried to be nice to Malfoy before, but it never seemed to work, so she decided that this time she'd let him get a rise out of her. "I wouldn't know, don't often go around messing with my own brain..." she smirked, then scribbled something on a piece of paper, folded it into an airplane and sent it flying. It landed on Malfoys desk and read: Perhaps sometime you'll tell me what it felt like?

Draco read the note, his face calm. However, his fingers clenched it with hardly restrained anger, and he looked at Moncrieff with almost a blaming look on his face.
Then, he stood up and collected his things, the holly still on his desk. As he passed Ollivander's desk, he looked at her with slightly narrowed eyes before swiping his hand across the table, watching as her plant flung off the smooth surface and landed a few meters away from them.
Then he left the room, the note still clenched in his hand, a sinister glint in his eye.

Lisa walked to the cabinet slowly, thinking to herself about what she might see. She bit her lip, taking the cloth and looked back at the rest of the class, watching as Malfoy strode out of the room with raised eyebrows.
Malfoy, however, was hardly any of her business, and not someone who would let themselves be comforted. Least of all by a Hufflepuff. She sighed with a shrug before sitting back at her desk, her mind back on her dreams.

She smirked slightly, then stood up and retrieved her plant bundle, then sat back down and began humming to herself.
