Algernon Moncrieff sits at his desk. Well, actually, he is more lying half-way on his chair and half on the desk, his face pressed securly into his hands. He is not looking forward to this. There is a huge pile of de-thorned holly boughs lying next to the desk, and the floor is scattered with thorns. Algernon slides back into his chair with a groan, still holding his head. This is the sort of time when it would be really nice to live with someone, he complains silently. Hang-over spells are notorious for going wrong when cast on one's self.
But so be it. This is what there is. Algernon has long learned to accept fate.
He fingers his wand glumly, hoping he does not look like he has spent the night lying on the stone floor in his clothes. He has to pretend to be a teacher, after all...

"Good morning professor!" Fin said as he happily entered the room. "Did ya sleep well last night? I know I did!" He smiled broadly.

Algernon raises his head just enough to give Fin a horrible look, before banging his head against his desk. "I'll give ten points to Ravenclaw if you promise to stop being so cheerful." he mumbles into the wood.

'Aw, what's wrong Algernon? Bad night?" he asked. "And I can't stop being so cheerful! I mean, it's a nice day, I slept good, and well, I'm just in a good mood all together!"

Without looking up, Algernon reaches into his pocket and takes out a galleon, which he throws at Fin. "Just go sit down... nasty, awake students." He sighs. "On second thought... " he sits back, sheilding his eyes from the light. "Are you at all good at healing charms?"

Fin caught and pocketed the galleon. "Yeah, I'm pretty good at 'em...why?" he asked.

Algernon sighs, waving a hand vaguely. "I'd apreciate it if this bit of information didn't get around, but I am slightly, er... hungover." He flushes, avoiding Fin's eyes. "And it really isn't safe to spell them away yourself... so if you wouldn't mind? It's a simple spell, really... just touch your wand to my forehead, and say 'dolorem adime.' Please? I really will give points for it, and you've got half my salary there in your pocket."

"You realize of course that this is the second little tidbit of information that I'm being told doesn't need to get out," he said with a smirk. "But sure, I'll help ya' out." He touched hiswand to Algernon's forehead and said, "dolorem adime."

The charm ran cool down Algernon's forehead, easing the pain but doing nothing for the anger. "Thank you, Mr. Finnigan. Ten points to Ravenclaw." he says stiffly, then sighs again, running a hand through his tangled hair. "You keep coming through for me, don't you, Fin? Make that twenty points. Now take a seat.. hopefully the others will be here soon."

Kieron quickly jogged up the stairs to where the divination room was, robes skirting across the stairway. Making it to the top, he smoothed down his hair a bit to make himself look presentable to Algernon, but couldn't help but think how he ignored him somewhat in the corridor. Merlin, he didn't even look at him! Maybe he was just not thinking? Or maybe he was upset at something. Maybe at him? Eiher way, he wasn't sure, but he supposed he would be in a better mood today. Entering the classroom though, his original thoughts were pretty much wrong. He looked upset, almost angry. "Oh damn." He murmered to himself, but put on a light smile. For him, at least.
"Good morning, professor." He greeted, but frowned. "Are you alright? You look upset." The sixth year asked, walking over to a desk and standing by it, crossing his arms in a comfortable position and leaning against it while looking towards Algernon.

"Oh, hey Kieron. What's goin' on?" he asked as the fellow student entered the room.

"Oh! Oh, hallo, Mr. E'Drien." Algernon says quickly, standing up and rummaging around in a cupboard behind his desk so as to avoid Kieron's eyes. If he had to look into those wide, trusting eyes, to think about what he was doing, was feeling...
"So, right, both of you take a seat and we'll begin shortly." He tells them curtly, wondering if the swirling sensation in his chest is guilt or merely nausea.

Kieron offered a smile, looking to the side at Fin. "Hello Fin. Oh, nothing really." He replied, looking back to Algernon with a frown and a slant of the eyes as he replied back to him. Just an Hello? Not telling him anything? And, once again, he was avoiding his eyes and not talking to him much. Great. Just, perfect. He was pissed. Leting out a long sigh, he shook his head, trying not to let the anger get the best of him but finding it to be quite a hard task indeed.
"Merlin Algernon. What is wrong with you? You never look me in the eyes anymore these days, and you keep turning away from me. Did I do something? Because of the fact that you're acting like a three year old and ignoring me and not telling me /anything/, I've been confused out of my mind and just standing here like a stupid bloke. I've noticed that you talk to /other/ students it seems, but not me! How is that supposed to make me feel, huh? What did I do that was so terrible?" He exclaimed wildly, throwing his arms up in the air and sending a piercing look to the back of Algernon's head.
"Merlin. You know what? I can't be in this class. Not right now. I'll talk to you later Fin." Shaking his head, he briskly walked out of the classroom, robes skirting behind him.

Algernon is silent for a long time. Then he turns to Fin, a sickly smile on his face.
"Well... that makes three things you know which shouldn't come out."

"If I were you, I'd go and apologize to him," Fin said.
