Lisa laughed, looking at his messy hand writing, amused. "Oh come on... Tough guys are allowed to blush! And plus, I'm sure pink would suit you very well!" She said with a playful smile.

"No way man, touch guys are not allowed to blush...and I highly doubt pink would be a suitable color for yours truly," he said smiling.

Grinning, Lisa shrugged. "If you say so, but you'll never know if you don't try it!" Then, tugging on the end of her quill's feather, she smiled, watching as it unraveled slightly. "I have to go over to Hogsmeade and get a new quill," she decided, looking at her worn-out quill with a sigh.

"Really?" He asked, looking at her quill. She could use a new one. "Hey, I got some free time, just tell me when you're going and I'll tag along, if you don't mind."

Lisa played with the feather for a while and looked at Fin shyly, an appreciative smile on her face. "Really? That'd be great." She said, looking at him gratefully. "I'll probably go this weekend, since it's a Hogsmeade weekend." She said as an afterthought, chewing on her lip.

"Okay, I don't think I have anything planned for then," he replied. "Yeah, this weekend sounds dandy," he said, holding her hand.

Draco was about to respond to the smug professor when a couple of voices interrupted him. Quite rudely, might he add. Turning around, he rolled his eyes noticing Fin and Turpin flirting behind him and smirked. "Oh yes, Fin. Accompany her to Hogsmeade for that quill. Mmhm." He said, mockingly before looking at the Ravenclaw amusedly. "Maybe she'll even get to see you blush."

Leigh was smiling. "15 Points to Hufflepuff for the correct answer Lisa. Well done." Leigh said, then remained quiet to allow the students to chat amongst themselves. He waited a few extra minutes before abruptly ending their discussions. "Times have come for us to learn how to use these spells." He brought out his wand and with a simple flick he conjured 10 animals of varrying size, weight and magical prowess.
"Now, each of you will acquire an animal, choose wisely because each has a different level magical power and if you aren't magically powerful enough to cast a binding spell or slowing spell, then they'll repell the spell back at you. Choose wisely." Leigh instructed as he continued. "Now, everyone pick a partner and take your choice of animal."
Before the students were varrying species of creatures. Each one was different from the other magically. Some of the smaller ones were obviously weaker physically, but stronger magically. Leigh made his way over to the creates. 3 field mice, 1 pony, 1 doberman canine, 1 lynx, 2 birds of prey and 2 hippogriffs.
(ooc: First in, best dress situation. Next post of mine I'll explain the magical qualities of each creature more thoroughly.)

Grace hoped up to get the best animal and then froze half standing- which was the best? she asked herself so she chose one of the birds of prey, praying she had chosen wisely and sat down then only looking around for a partner

He then turned around to face Lisa again. 'Hey, let's get a Hippogriff,' james said.

Draco looked at McFinnigan with a slightly amused expression, "I would, but it just so happens you were the only two people talking in the entire classroom- I'm sure i'm not the only one that overheard." Then he turned around and faced the animals, sneering slightly at the Hippogriff, and collecting the other bird.

"Just because you overheard our conversation, doesn't mean you have to intrude," Fin replied to the sneering Slytherin.

Lisa blushed, avoiding the Slytherin's gaze as she turned to Fin, choosing to ignore Malfoy's last comment. "I don't know, the Hippogriff is a magical creature- It might be harder to slow it down..." She said thoughtfully, flipping through her textbook. "I say we try to Doberman, and move onto the Hippogriff if we succeed?"

Fin sighed, somewhat dissapointed. "Okay, if you want to, going Doberman's fine with me," he said smiling.

Ron walked up to the front, picking up one of the mice by it's tail and grimacing as he dropped it onto his desk, listening to it's squealing.
"You're the smallest," he said, peering at it closely, "Should be the easiest... Right?" The mouse continued to squeak and Ron sighed, tilting his head slightly and collected his wand.
"Let's hope my theory is right," he said dropping onto his seat tiredly and glancing at the small creature in front of him warily.
