Leigh had walked deep into the forest, knowing he would be meeting someone. Whoever it was had to be a powerful wizard to invade the minds of others and show them where to go. Somehow Leigh knew where he was going, where he had to be and whom to meet. Something about it didn't feel right, but as he came into the forest clearing he had felt drawn to, he saw a single dark figure, standing alone in the middle of the clearing.
Leigh clenched his hands as he step towards the dark figure, a strange sort of feeling washing over him. Whoever it was, Leigh knew he had to be ready for anything.
"So, you did come. I wasn't expecting you to... but nonethe less, down to business. I have in my possession items of extreme rarity." The dark figure spoke, barely above a whisper. Leigh sneered at the man.
"Rare items? I wonder how you came across them. Thievery? Assassination? Or just general luck?" Leigh queried, keeping his hand near his wand.
"All of them." Laughed the figure.
Leigh suddenly shook with fear at the easy reply of the man, and he growled. He felt ready to fight and slowly pulled out his wand to do so.
"Do it, and your dreams end here, fool." Said the dark figure, a sudden laughed erupting loudly in the quietness of the clearing.
Leigh growled, before placing his wand back into his pocket. "What do want?" Leigh asked, his voice radiating his anger.
"For you to realise your dreams, you dreams of power!" Laughed the dark figure. "Here is what you have only ever dreamt of!" The dark figure raised his hand and flicked his hand when a sudden dazzling light erupted before him. Three odd coloured eggs appeared before him and Leigh saw what they were.
Dragon eggs.
"You fool!" Leigh shouted, pulling out his wand. He stared at the dark figure, but he was no longer there. Leigh felt the sudden presence of power leave. He looked at the three dragon eggs before him, hovering while shining light. Leigh reached for one and touched the cool shell. Soon the light dissipated and he had all three eggs inside of his robe.
He quickly made his way through the the forest, retacing his steps to the best of his ability. Soon he reached the edge of the forest and saw the lights of the castles windows. He sighed, knowing what someone would say to him if anyone found out what he was carrying.
Suddenly Leigh spun around, pulling his wand out to face the person who dared intrude upon him in the darkness.
"Whoever you are, show yourself before I fire at you!" Leigh growled.

Lisa gasped as her head of house's voice reached her ears, completely startled. The forest had already made her queasy and hearing snappish voices after being enveloped in silence for so long has given her quite a scare.
Trembling, she bit her lip and looked at her shoes, not knowing exactly what she had done wrong, but deciding to speak up before Addis used his wand. "Er, I was only doing my prefect rounds," she said lamely, lifting her head and watching for his reaction. She hated when she was assigned to watch over the grounds, as the forest already did enough to scare her when she was inside the castle. "I'm sorry, sir." She said quickly, tightening her old cloak around herself and avoiding eye contact.

"Miss Turpin... Prefect rounds in the middle of the night?" Leigh said, retreating into a darkening mood. He sneered as he turned away from her, pulling his wand back into his robes, hand brushing against the eggs. "And who assigned you to prefect rounds inside of the forest? Whoever did should be retaught about how no students, not even prefects are allowed inside of the forest at night." He walked towards her slightly.
"You aren't in trouble, Turpin. Just tell me who told you to come out here and I'll deal with them." He said, as he reached into his robes and felt the dragon eggs. I have to get them somewhere save! He thought.
"Come along, Lisa, time to go. Forget your rounds for tonight." Leigh instructed.

Lisa flinched at Addis' snappish tone and felt suddenly terribly afraid to follow him. "I-I wasn't assigned the forest specifically," she said, her gaze directed at the floor. "I was to gather any lingering students from the grounds around the castle- B-but I heard something in the forest and-" she paused, chewing on her bottom lip once more, "I really am sorry," she said, continuing to ramble, looking up at Addis. "It's no one's fault but my own, I had just lost track of time, I probably should have gone back ages ago..." she finished, hoping no one would be punished because of her carelessness. She was also extremely putout by the professor's disagreeable mood, though still slightly curious at what he was doing in the forest at such a later hour.
Then looking around the forest, she noticed Addis beckoning her and sighed, shivering slightly in her cloak and expecting him to take the lead and escort her back to her dorms.

Boggleworth had expected to see Lisa around the school corridors but as of yet he hadn't that's strange he thought it's not like her to miss rounds maybe she's outside and so Boggleworth limped outside his foot still giving him trouble, he heard voices one raised in anger and the other apologetic, so curious as ever he limped round and saw his head of house whom he didn't know well and Lisa his fellow Hufflepuff prefect, he hobbled across to them saying cheerfully "hello there what are you two doing at this time of night near the forest? I'm the only one about at this hour usually!" Boggleworth now knew that the prof was angry or maybe that he had something to hide why were they both here he wondered "just thought you'd take a stroll in the fresh night air?" asked Boggleworth cheekily

Leigh heard another voice coming, this time from the castle. He sighed, pulled his robe tighter around him and looked back at Lisa. "I know you can keep a secret." Leigh said, with a apologetic tone in his voice. "I'm agitated at myself for something greater than anything else before, and I took it out on the first person I saw. I'm sorry, Lisa. Run ahead and go back to bed, please."
Leigh then heard Henry Boggleworth approach. "Just remember Boggleworth you're not the only one awake at this hour! Look out into the forest! The school! The sky! A lot of creatures are still awake at this hour, namely me! Now, get back inside you fool. Your limp is bad enough as it is."

But Boggleworth would not be deterred quite so easily "what's wrong sir? you seem a little..." Boggleworth searched for the right word "agitated, anything I can help you with? and I take your point about the limp!" he said cheerfully trying to lighten the heavy mood

(OOC note: who's your dark figure? this is interesting! btw, i haven't finished the ja'atkshi anai thread yet, but this post comes after it ends, because i like to write the ends and then work on the middle. ^_^)
Apronia stumbled out of the trees, white as a sheet and every limb shaking. "What are all of you doing here?!" she demanded. "Have you no conception of the danger in this forest?!" she looked around, clearly terrified, eyes wide and unseeing as she consulted something within her mind. "Quickly, we must leave before he returns. Even this small area he cannot ignore for long." They were standing and staring at her. "My power is weak here! We must go before the forest turns against us once again!"

(OOC note: who's your dark figure? this is interesting! btw, i haven't finished the ja'atkshi anai thread yet, but this post comes after it ends, because i like to write the ends and then work on the middle. ^_^) (ooc: The dark figure will be revealed later. as for what I bolded, that does make a lot of sense to me ;D Time for me to reveal what the plan is! ) Leigh stared amazed at Apronia. He had never seen her react to anything like the way she was now. He was sure that something seriously was wrong and it had to do with the Forest. Leigh began to speak, but then felt one of the three eggs begin to vibrate violently. Leigh reached into his robes and clutched it tightly in his hand, but that only made it more intense. The egg began to fly about inside his robes, forcing him to reveal the egg before the three people. Leigh roared in anger, but soon the egg flew out of his hand and headed towards Apronia. Soon the egg was glowing brightly and began to hatch, emmitting a bright light from the forming cracks. Leigh stared at the sight and felt the power contained inside the egg in the back of his mind, forcing him to reel in fear. "The dragon egg... Apronia, it chose you!" Leigh said. "These eggs... are special, they choose a human... then they hatch for that person, allowing the human to use the dragons powers as they're own!" Leigh fell to his knees, weakened from the pain in his mind. He looked at Apronia through his tangled hair. "It chose you... for that dragon heeded your call..." (ooc: Haha! ;D There we go The plan is revealed... Apronia, thank you for posting here You're the first guinea pig person chosen! lol, hope you don't take it as an offense! 2 eggs left!)

Novella Sandler did not like the forest.
But she was a Gryffindor after all, and she wasn't scared of the stories she heard the other students whispering about, of a strange man with strange powers. She was a Gryffindor. Right. A Gryffindor, and a proper Witch. She was supposed to be here, even if she was Muggle-born.
Just keep repeating that, and you'll be fine.
She expected to see some centaurs, maybe a werewolf, maybe even this spirit of the forest if she was really unlucky. What she did not expect was to come upon a teacher, the groundskeeper, and two hufflepuffs standing around some weird glowing orbs.
"Um..." She began.

Lisa who had just been turning to walk back to the castle, looked at the professor in fear as something released itself from his robes. Her eyes widened and she quickly turned back to the small group, watching with a frightful gaze as the object began to fly toward the groundskeeper, hatching and subjecting them all to bright glowing light.
Squinting her eyes she gasped, realising what they were and hear Addis' confirmation only seconds later. Hearing the powers the dragon eggs possessed, Lisa quickly looked toward the Gamekeeper with an awe-filled gaze before running to the weakened professors' side, glancing at him with concern.
"Are you alright?" She asked worriedly, looking back at Apronia and the hatching egg with confusion. Not knowing what to do, she stood between them and looked at Henry with raised eyebrows, before another voice reached their ears. Lisa looked at the girl, then at the professor before her gaze returned to Apronia with curiosity, hoping one of them would explain what was going on to the newcomer, in fact, she hardly understood what was going on herself!

Boggleworth was confused, but he masked that fact rather well, dragons he thought, best to leave them well alone, steer clear of such troublesome creatures. Seeing the others were all in a dazed shock, he quickly reacted by strolling over to the newly arrived Gryffindor, he didn't want them to get involved, best to steer them well clear of this mess, he nigh on shouted "there's nothing to see here!" I'm more nervous than I thought Boggleworth muttered under his breath so none could hear, but someone would have to take charge of the situation, he would have to be harsh to be kind to this Gryffindor, he didn't want them to get involved in such a sticky situation so he said sternly "what are you doing about at this hour! just fancied a stroll did you? well back to your dorm this instant! be off with you!" he took their arm and began to direct them back up to the school, hoping they would get the message and get out quick before they got into trouble, he muttered to the girl so the others couldn't hear, "best be off quick, these two are strict you'll get in a load of bother"

(ooc: sorry, finally mustered the energy to come back. real life is nuts!)
Apronia stared at the tiny creature cupped in the eggshell she held. The young dragon blinked at her with amber eyes, ran a leathery green paw over its tiny face and small golden horns, and then blinked again at her, catlike.
"A Romanian Longhorn!" she breathed, and felt something stirring within her, originating deep in her connection with the forest. She could feel the woods reaching towards the young dragon, and the Longhorn reached back. Rainbows exploded in her mind and she stared blankly down at her hands, seeing nothing but the explosion of joy from both dragon and forest twining around her own spirit.
