Mandrake stormed through the corridors. He hated Bog for setting off his rage. Mandrake goes crazy when hes mad. He began to curse under his breath. He rounded a corridor and someone was standing there. He quickly acted as if nothing was wrong.

Grace was reading her book again, The Marks Family Heritage. She heard heavy foot steps rounding the corner and looked up. Professor Mandrake Black came into view. He seemed flustered and as though he was trying to hid something. She quickly lowered her book and smiled her charming smile at the professor. "Hello, Professor," she said sheepishly as he came close.

Grace hugged her book, showing off the golden lettering on it's rugged cover. She looked at the guant man and bit her lip, "I'd be doing better if you were." It was the truth, Grace was always happier when people around her were happier. "Is something bothering you, professor?" she asked shyly, not wanting to intrude on his business.

Grace storm cloud blue eyes widened with shock. She knew what he meant to do. Boggleworth had done the same thing to a troll in the forest. She would never forget it. She looked into the man's troubled eyes and hugged her book tighter. "He means no harm, professor, honest. He's just a little bull-headed sometimes. Just ignore him," that was the best advise she could give him. She knew how stubborn Bog could be and that Prof Black meant business, it was in the fire in his eyes.

Grace smiled sheepishly. "Thank you," she said quietly. She hugged her book closer to her chest and bounced on her heals. Slightly embarrassed about everyone in the whole school knowing about her and Bog. She looked at her feet and added, "maybe you should visit that unicorn again."

Grace frowned for a moment then realized what he was talking about. She held her book in both hands and looked at the shining gold letters, "The Marks Family Heritage." She smiled from the book to the tall man. "It's quiet an interesting read. I would be in the common room but there are people there and ... well-" she shrugged "-you know how common rooms are!"

"When I need a quiet place to read I find the quidditch pitch a great one. I could always be found on the quidditch pitch when I went to hogwarts. How is your father doing by the way?" said Mandrake rapidly changing the subject.

"Its ok Grace." said Mandrake putting an arm around her. "Cry. There is nothing to be ashamed of. Let it out. I know you never really liked him, but he is your father after all. Juts cry." said Mandrake thinking back on how his father was. A soft tear ran down Mandrakes cheek and he rubbed it away immediately.

Grace's head lulled onto Prof Black's side and she dropped the book, flinning her arms around his waist. She cried and sniffed into his side. "I don't want him to die!" she sobbed.
