"A very lovely lady named Lisa Turpin," Fin proclaimed. He was just slightly down though, because he hadn't seen her since he asked her out.

"Thats cool." Kieron replied to Fin with a smile, glancing out at the dance floor, drink still in his hand and half-empty. "I don't have a date. Not a big deal though." He shrugged, still leaning against the counter. Looking towards Kim as he heard her speak, he chuckled. "Yes. It should be." He replied in agreement, noticing how much energy filled the room with everyone dancing. Everone seemed to be having a good time.

She looked at Keiron "You? Dateless? Thats a funny concept." She returned her gaze to the dancefloor "Dates arent always a good thing. Or relationships for that matter.. first the spark.. then the fire.. then comes water and voila! No more fire. Kinda sets things on a boring level. Still, there are plenty of girls who'd dance with you if you wanted to dance. Plenty who wont have a date.. and i dont have a clue what im trying to get at here." she laughed and ordered a drink. Some of the dancing students were making their way off the floor. "Ran out of energy"

"Yeah, I suppose so," Fin said, twirling his hat in his hand.

Kieron laughed sheepishly, taking another sip of his drink. "I see where you're getting at." He replied, glancing at the students who were coming off of the dance floor and heading to tables and such. "Hmph. I guess the energy /is/ running out. They'll probably be back out there dancing in a minute or two though after resting for a bit." Shrugging, he glanced to the side at Kim. "Well..If someone wanted to dance with me, I'd probably do so. I'm not one to really ask people to dance." Suddenly turning his eyes away though, he looked out at the people on the dance floor. Well. /He/ doesn't appear to be here yet. Good. Makes me less stressed. HA! I wonder what he'd do if he saw me dancing with a girl. That'd sure make him confused. He probably wouldn't care though, now that I think about it. He mused in his mind with yet another chuckle and a frown, finishing his drink and placing the empty glass on the counter. That was an interesting thought.

Kim took a sip of her drink and smiled. "You dont strike me as the kind of guy who's shy Keiron. People would just sit around all night doing nothing" she laughed "Dancing isnt dating. Its just dancing. So you wouldnt go ask a really pretty girl to dance if she was stood alone?" Kim asked, taking another sip of her drink. "I dont get guys at all" she said more to herself than anything. "Big puzzles" She looked at him. He seemed to have gone into his own little world. "Girls dont bite.. well some do"

"Oh yeah, like we're the complicated ones," Fin scoffed, taking a swig of his drink. "You girls give us weird clues, that we're supposed to understand. And then when we don't, it's our fault!" Fin laughed to himself.

Kieron laughed, ordering yet another drink. "Well..I possibly would." He lied slightly, getting his ordered drink and taking a long sip of it. Swallowing it down, he chuckled at Fin's comeback. "I'm certainly not all that shy. Sometimes I just get that way, you know? I kind of have a mixed personality." He admitted, glancing down at his glass and staring into the liquid of his drink.

"Hey Kieron, uh, can I talk to you for a minute over here?" Fin didn't wait for a response from the gryffindore. He just grabbed him by his tux and pulled him over to a secluded corner of the room.

Kieron gasped lightly as his tux was grabbed and he was dragged to a secluded corner by Fin. Regaining his balence onto his feet, his eyebrow raised in slight confusion. "What is it Fin?" He asked, concern on his face as he looked right at the Ravenclaw, eyes in their normal slanted position. He wondered what he wanted to talk to him about, seeing as it was a little strange for him to drag him to a corner.

Halo walked into the ball, surprisingly late. She had gotten so caught up in the excitment of getting ready for the dance she had lost track of time. She looked around the room for her friends, but it was a bit difficult to tell the difference between people with their masks on. 'No matter,' she thought, 'The music is still fabulous and I can dance, partner or not.'
She walked over to where the hard rock music was blasting from the stereo system. She began spinning around madly, her floor length white dress flowing elegently about her, while the small silver beads that had been sewn on glittered with every movement. She had pulled her hair up into a tight bun, and was glad that she did with all the fast, upbeat music... at this end of the hall. Her mask matched her dress, only in reverse. It was silver with small, pearl white beads around the edge. She smiled, this was going to be an amazing night. She could feel it...

Jerred walked into the hall, his dark maroon tux tight around his chest. He walked in, his mask only revealing his lower lip, and his eyes. It was plain black, nothing special. He looked around the hall and saw several people he knew. He smiled a little when he saw Kim. His jaw dropped as he saw her. He quickly made his way over, but soon saw Fin there, then decided to back off a little, still not sure about his old friend.
Jerred didn't want a scene with anyone, so he left his wand back in his dorm room. He floated to a wall and leant against it, folding his arms as he wacthed the people dance.
He noticed Kim having a fun time. He smiled a little, knowing that at least she was having fun. He didn't want to bother her and the others around her. He knew no one really cared for the Slytherin as he came into the room, but he did feel slightly hurt.

Alana walked into the Great Hall. She was wearing a black dress that had a red shimmer to it and the back went just down to her waist and the laces crisscrossed all the way down her back.she was also wearing a sparkly gold half- mask. She had curled her tiger- striped hair and had pulled it part way back letting a few curls hang down by her cheeks. Her exotic honey gold eyes sparkled with excitement and her cheeks were flushed from running. she had gold body glitter across her chest and shoulders and her lips were burgundy red. She looked around and didn't see anyone she really wanted to dance with so she decided to just take a seat and wait until someone asked her to dance.
