(GH)T1: The Ball

[James McFinnigan]

"I very, extremely, highly doubt it," he said, taking a sip of his drink. "So where'd you get that dress? It looks nice," he said, making conversation.

[Kim Rivers]

Kim smiled. "Aww i think it would be funny. But yeah i guess no guy will wear a pink tux." She glanced down at her dress. "Uhm.. I got it made specially. Couldnt find one i liked so i went all out. Cost a bloody fortune. But never mind. Was worth it i guess. Whered you get your tux?"

[James McFinnigan]

"Christmas present from the family," Fin said. "My brothers decided on this hat though," he said, putting it on, letting it slide down over his eyes. "They sent it with this note attatched." Fin fumbled around in his pockets until he found what he suspected was the note. He unfolded it, and handed it upside down to Kim. It said, "And here's a special hat for your big head, love: Dave, Mark, and Arny."

Kim laughed at the note. "Jokers?" she laughed again. "Well you look nice, might wanna think of putting a couple of eye sockets into thehat though"

[Kieron E'Drien]

Ugh. Why am I even here? Kieron wondered to himself dully as he entered the Great Hall, hands in his tux pants pockets. He was actually wearing a tux for once. A black tux at that, along with a black mask that was lined with a small hint of dark green. The Great Hall looked fantastic, but the sixth year wasn't in all that good of a mood to be at the ball. Considering what had happened a few days prior, of course. Just don't think of him Kieron. Get in a good mood. It's a day of having a good time, right? He mused to himself, heading over to the bar to get a drink for himself. Merlin! There were so many students there! Ordering his drink, he glanced at the side and recognised Fin and Kim, offering a raised eyebrow at Fin's rather large white top hat. "Hello Fin, Kim." He greeted in a friendly way, taking his drink into his hand and then looking at Fin. "Erm. Nice hat there. Doesn't it block your view a little though?" He asked, chuckling in amusement and taking a sip of his drink as he looked towards him and Kim, leaning against the bar casually.

"What are you talkin' about, I'm fine," he said in the direction he thought he had heard Kieron's voice coming from. He groped for the note, finally found it in Kim's hand, and stuffed it down his pants, missing his pocket. "See, check it out, I'll even show you some dance moves to prove, that I, James McFinnigan, am perfectly ummmm...not...blind...and stuff?" He made his way to the dance-floor, somehow, but never got to dance, for when he was about to start, he tripped over some other student.

She looked at Keiron. She had never really spoke to him, or seen him for that matter. Though never mind, she was in a friendly mood. "Hiya Keiron" she greeted "You look smart" More and more people were entering the great hall. Still, no-one she really wanted to rush and say hi to. As Fin stumbled his way onto the dance floor, Kim watched and smiled. She saw him fall over and couldnt help laughing "Perfectly not blind James McFinnigan eh?" she laughed again

[Kieron E'Drien]

Kieron offered a smile at Kim as she talked to him. "Thanks. You look nice." He replied, his eyes then shifting quickly to where Fin was going. He chuckled in amusement as Fin tripped over a student and fell onto the floor, a smirk growing quickly on his lips. "Okay. Maybe you were a little over confident about not being blind." The sixth year remarked jokingly to Fin, taking another sip of his drink and trying hard not to laugh that loud at the scene in front of him. Hopefully he was okay though. Tripping wasn't exactly the funnest of things to happen to a person.

Kim stopped laughing and held onto the bar. She looked from the two boys. One who was stood up, the other who was on the floor. "Next time you want to dance. Id suggest taking the hat off."

"Oh whatever, I just fell, that's all...had nothing to do with my complete lack of sight," Fin joked. He took his hat off,m and walked back to the bar where his two friends were. "Oh and, hey Kieron. What's up?"

[Kim Rivers]

Kim laughed again. "Want my mast? See it has eye holes and only covers half the face" she joked "Im sure your falling had nothing whatsoever to do with your lack of sight either"

[Kieron E'Drien]

Kieron offered a friendly smile at Fin. "Oh, nothing really. Just..trying to have a good time, I guess." The sixth year replied, glancing down at his drink glass, which was now empty. Ordering another drink, he turned back around to face Fin again. "And you?" Hearing Kim, he offered a chuckle along with her joke. He was having a pretty good time so far. Screw his depressive feelings![/font]

"Me? I'm just waiting for my date is all," he said proudly.

"Trying to have a good time? Stick with us and you'll have fun garunteed! Bunch of nutters us lot" She smiled at Keiron then raised an eyebrow at Fin "Aww young Fin in all his lust, so over-rated" she glanced back onto the dancefloor watching the students dance. "They just dont run out of energy. Do they?"

The sixth year chuckled at Kim's response. "Hmm, fun guaranteed eh? Sounds good to me. Nope. Doesn't seem like it. It's not that often we have balls though. Probably explains why they have so much energy." Kieron then smiled, somewhat happy for Fin. "Who is your date?" He asked out of curiousity, taking his newly ordered drink and taking a sip of it. He couldn't help but feel down a bit, considering that he didn't have a date for the ball, but he could deal with it. It wouldn't ruin his good time that he was having thus far. He didn't need one, anyways. As long as he was chatting with people, it didn't matter.
