Lisa smiled, looking at her friend. "Not exactly- as the potion reaches the different sections of your tongue, new flavors are experienced. Though, like I said, none of them too great." She added, making a face.

"Oh," Keaira said with a nod, "I think I understand. But so many unpleasant sensations on different parts of your tongue all at once—that must be such a horrible taste! Well, I'm glad that these scales are so good or I'd really regret trying one."

Lisa nodded in agreement, before grinning. "Although I'd never have tried it until you told me it was safe."

"Well, that's a basic rule of eating foods in the magical realm, isn't it?" Keaira said with a little chuckle. "I once heard a story of a man who forgot to ask if his food was safe and ate a man's brain by mistake. For some reason, he could only speak German for the rest of his life. I don't think anyone ever did figure out why that was."

Lisa's eyes widened, "A brain?!" She said, horrified. Then, turning to Keaira, she grinned.
"Well, in that case, I dub thee food taster!" She said lightly, breaking the rest of her scale and handing half of it to Keaira with a wink.

"Aw," Keaira said with a small laugh, "I thanketh thee for this...plentiful bounty." She popped the rest of the scale in her mouth with a grin and snatched up another from the small pile by the lakeside, handing it to Lisa. "And in return, fair lady, I bequeath to you this lovely gift."

Lisa laughed, her eyes lighting up as she did. "As long as it's not a brain," she said, grinning, before pocketing the offered scale. Maybe she could use it in some potions later on.

[glow=BFFFBF,2,300]"A little known fact about Hippocampus scales, when mixed with minced ginger root, puffer fish eyes, and salamander blood, it can relieve any water-bourne illness." she smiled. "Next week make sure you wear thick clothes... and perhaps brush up on your defense spells. Believe me when I say it will come in very handy." she eyed the student cautiously. "Class dismissed, if anyone has anymore questions feel free to come talk to me."[/glow]
