"a hunt for a troll!" Boggleworth said increduously "well then Grace can take you seriously!" he laughed "so you're being serious Girt well, you've asked for it!"

"There aren't any monsters from hell attacking so I don't know why you want to take Girty seriously," Grace said.

Girty leaned over and tapped Grace lightly on the side of the head. "Be quite you." She started to giggle and thought it best to change the topic off trolls to prevent Bog getting any ideas. "So...that dairy? is it yours?"

"Well," Grace obliged, happy for the change of subject, "the hand writing matches! But my problem is that-" she turned to Bog with a slight frown "-it just doesn't sound like you, Bog."

"Yes," Grace said eagerly, "if there's anything you can decipher."

"Ok here goes then" gulped Boggleworth as he clutched the diary and prised open the pages, "it's really fragmented and dirty as ruddy usual! Now for my newest plan! I shall work my way into the house of Gareth Pustar, as I now know him to be! ever heard of him?" asked Boggleworth hopefully, seeing Grace and Girt shake their heads fervently he continued "He was the one who, well who you know, tortured Uncle fer hours torture! darn then it continues but now I’ll damn well get him, he’ll pay for it! He’ll never know I’m there, I’ll have to strive to reach him though, it’ll take a while but it’ll be worth it! Jimmy will keep in touch too!, ruddy hell it's getting worse!" moaned Boggleworth.

Grace stared into the fire and watched it dance. She listened to Bog read and even though his words were of harsher times his voice soothed her raging heart. "Worse?" she repeated, "worse as in the handwriting or as in what it says?"

Boggleworth smiled at Grace trying to lighten the mood, "unfortunately I mean the stuff in it! But hopefully it'll only be the handwriting that gets worse!" he said with little hope in his voice.

Grace smiled. She sat on the carpet and hugged her knees. "Anymore?" she asked.

Boggleworth sighed did he want to know his possib;le past or was it best left forgotten and hidden, he didn't want to read it, but he did as well. "um yeah, there's bits I can't read...ah here's a bit yes I got him, it took ages but I've got him, him who's him" Boggleworth wondered not catching on or maybe just not wanting to accept it "and the idiot told me where she is too, so I'm off to Ireland now, maybe soon I have got them all, afterwards I'll send this diary to Jimmy methinks, he's my only true friend..." Boggleworth stopped abruptly and sighed again, "if only I knew!" he muttered

"Sounds like you killed a whole group of people,'' Grace mumbled, "and not the one like we originally thought."

"Killed?" Girty gulped. "You really killed someone? That is not good."
She knew she was saying something that was very clear to everyone but she was so shocked her mind was not working.

Grace looked at Girty, unable to smile, and said, "no it isn't. But why don't you remember it is still my question-" she looked back to the fire "-you probably just don't want to remember. The mind blocks terrible memories to prevent you from going insane. Well, that's one of Maddison's theories anyway, but it makes sense, doesn't it?"

Boggleworth appreciated the help and the theories but he just still couldn't believe them. "I don't think my mind would be able to stop these memories that well! I refuse to believe I did this, I'm certain I would remember!" exclaimed Boggleworth sincerly and a little heatedly, "I couldn't kill anyone! Why would I?"
