Grace laughed at Heep Girty. "Well, seeing that no monster from hell is attacking right now, I'm not going to take you seriously." She laughed and looked at Girty, "never take me seriously, remember that!?"

Trying to sit back up Grity laughed. "Yep i remember that." She rubbed her back and continued to laugh. "I do not think i will forget it now. But honestly. What if we did go in search for a troll. As a laugh. A bit uncharacteristic of a Hufflepuff, I know but still."
Her eyes grew wide longing for an answer from Grace

The was another long silence and Grace thought for a moment. Suddenly she sat up, purple curles bounced, "we'd kick his over grown behind," Grace shouted at the lake, "we are hufflepuffs after all!" She lay back down. "We're smart enough and teamwork is one of our strong points."

"True now let me think." Girty fell silent as her brain ticked thinking. "Paitent...Well we will have to find the troll Loyal.... we will stick together True... it will prevent it killing a little rabbit Unafraid of toil.... well we will have to break out of hogwarts and find the stupid thing. Well that ticks all the boxes. Where in the clear."
She laughed and looked at Grace.

She looked at Girty and felt a strange pulsating in her head. She ignored it. "Yeah," Grace smiled, "in the clear!" The pulse grew stronger and came more often. She frowned and razed a hand to her head.

Girty ignored her whole troll hunting idea and knelt down by Grace. "What on earth is wrong Grace. First your veins, then a itching pain now your face shows you are in a hell of a lot of pain." Girty was serious for once with no monsters from hell eating her. "I want to help you."

Grace opened her eyes and saw the ernest look in Girty's. She didn't know how to explain it. "Girty, I really would love to tell you what's wrong but honestly-" Grace took Girty's hands in hers "-I have no idea what is wrong. Constant headaches. Pain everywhere. My hands. I don't know what is going on with my body. It's abandoning me within my own body.
"I don't know what to do, Girty. I'm terrified to sleep because my-" she shut her eyes tightly and a tear graced her cold skin "-my father haunts me ... every time I close my eyes he's there, starring at me, telling me I'm everything he is and will become everything he has when the time is right." She opened her eyes and let go of Girtys hands. She looked at the flames of the fire, tears staining her cheeks, and clutched her knees. "I don't want to... I don't want to come my father.
"I can't explain the pain I'm going through, the physical pain, but all that is in my head is drenched with fears of becoming him," she whispered the last words. She did not sob. But the tears were streaked her cheeks. And she was out of breath, but she breathed normally, not wanting to betray herself to herself.

Girty looked to the floor. She pulled a tissue from her sleeve and offered it to Grace. Girty pushed her hair back and softly spoke almost in a whisper. "I do not believe you will Grace. I believe you have a quality, a quality that can shine through any darkness and will stop any evil enduring."
Girty moved to be in Graces eye line. "You maybe his daughter but that does not mean you will come to the same fate. Yes the same blood flows through your veins but you do not have the same weakness. You have the power to resist it. There may be a time when you face the same decision that you father did but you will make the right decision and overcome the evil."
She moved away in hope to give Grace more space. "And your friends are here for you no matter how strange or useless we are."

Grace took the tissue and sniffed, wipped her cheeks and smiled at Girty. She listened to Girty's wise words. She concentrated on her words and on her breathing. She managed to slow her heart and get her breathing steady. She nodded at Girty when she had finish speaking and smiled. With a sniff and a quick gasp for air she said, "you're not strange, Girt! A-and you're not useless!" she lay on her side, hugging her knees.

Girty shocked her head. "Well if you say i not strange then ok." She laughed and decided to sit on the chair to her side.
"You know that pose does not do you any good. You look more like an insane person then a wise, young witch." She smiled in vain hope at Grace. Vain hope that she would soon be herself again.

Boggleworth barged into the common room fuming, he was annoyed going to see Munchy hadn't got him far and he still didn't know what to do. He was oblivious to what had been taking place, he almost growled "well that was flippin pointless!" But then he calmed down when he saw Girty's and Grace's faces, "what's wrong?" he asked

Grace agreed but wouldn't say so. She let go of her knees and flopped onto her back. She stared at the roof and added, "between to two of us, Girt, you're the wise one!" Then Bog barged in. "Nothing!" She sat up and wipped her cheeks with her sleeves.

Boggleworth noticed the tears but decided not to comment on them. If Grace wants to tell me she will he thought. In explanation of his absense he said "well I've just been to see Munchy, and got nowhere!" ah well he thought as he flopped down into a chair. "so how are you two?" he asked trying to change the subject from his past

Girty turned around to face Bog with a smile. "Well I'm now wise and not strange, Grace thinks that only when i get eaten by a monster from hell can she take me seriously and also i want to hunt for a troll."
She Giggled to her self quietly and then relaxed back onto the chair.
