[C] Blowing Bubbles

In one of the larger windowsills of the winding staircases of Hogwarts sat the seventh year Adrian Santok. He sat with his back again the wall with one leg laid across the frame and the other hanging loosely over the edge. Piled against the window was the white snow that was steadily growing against the frozen glass.

He tilted his head back and stared out the window, though nothing clear was visible. Another moment passed before he blew a large, purple bubble and watched it float down the corridor with a smirk on his face. Pointing his wand at it idly, it popped without a trace and he continued on in that fashion, seemingly entertaining himself.

"Well now, Mr Santok, glad you can join us." Prof Addis said as he appeared out of nowhere.

[Lisa Turpin]

Lisa walked down the staircase steadily, a large sigh escaping her mouth. The day had grown into one that was quite boring and she was heading back to her common room to finish on some homework. Just about to trip on a stair, she let out a yelp before regaining her footing, her gaze landing in front of her. Her eyes widened slightly when a purple bubble levitated in front of her nose before disappearing with a loud *pop*.

Stunned, she stood stupidly on the stairs for another moment, before turning her head where her eyes caught sight of an older boy. She was just about to ask him what he was doing when she heard Professor Addis' voice trail down the corridor. Quickly walking down the remaining steps, she caught up with them and smiled.

"How on earth are you managing to do that?" She said, her voice drowned out slightly by another large pop.

His head turned slowly as someone spoke to him, another large bubble balancing against his mouth. His gaze caught Professor Addis and he quickly popped the bubble just as Lisa was coming up the stairs.

"Oh, thanks Professor," he said quickly sitting up. He wrapped his scarf around his neck more and reached into his pocket rummaging a moment before finding what he was looking for. He held out his hand towards Lisa. "Gum?" he offered, smiling brightly.

Lisa looked at the outstretched palm hesitantly before looking back at Adrian with a smile. "Sure." She said, taking the offered candy.

Just as she began to unwrap it, she stopped and stared at the boy for a moment before holding out a hand. "I don't think we've met," she said cheerfully, "I'm Lisa."

"Lisa, please don't flirt with the new lad." Prof Addis said, seemingly unexistent at that moment.

Lisa blushed, looking at Addis indignantly. Feeling completely embarrassed, she pulled back her hand and felt her face flush deeper.

"I- I wasn't!" She said in a slightly high-pitched tone. Then she turned around and quickly stepped up the rest of the stairs with a quick goodbye.

He had just reached out his hand as Professor Addis has said it and she was gone before he could finish and introduce himself.

"Adrian!" he called out behind her as she disappered down the steps. He gave a blank look towards the professor, blinked a few times and propped himself up on the windowsill again.

Carrie had just finished her potions lesson and had taken a slight detour to the rest of the class, having found a particular staircase which was normally not so congested. She was walking down this spiral staircase in part of the more decorative sections of the castle, when she came colliding into Lisa. 'Whoa!' Carrie yelled, nearly toppling over. 'Oh- Lisa, Hey!' The Hufflepuff said something that resembled Hello, before rushing up the rest of the flight. Well, someone is in a hurry. Carrie thought with a slight laugh.

Turning the corner, she came face to face with an older hufflepuff who she had never met before. He seemed to be conjuring odd, but rather fun-looking bubbles, before popping them for his own amusement. He didn't notice her presence until she spoke up. 'Looks like you've missed one.' She said with a smirk as she pointed out the purple bubble stain that had conviently popped on her robe. 'Scourgify.' Carrie muttered, pointing her long wand at her sleeve, before returning her attention back to the other student.

"Aye, but you didn't," he said slyly smiling. He finished his last bubble and popped it quickly. "Sorry about that," he told her , pointing his wand at her. He sat up from his position again and stretched out.

"Would ya like a piece?" he offered, taking out the cube-shaped gum from his pocket.

Carrie gave a slight laugh at the guys comment and accepted the gum. 'Thanks.' She added with a smile, before sitting on the window sill next to him. 'I'm Carrie by the way.' She leant against the side of the wall.

He slipped his wand back into his sleeve and moved to give her more room on the little ledge before responding. "Adrian," he told her with a very slight Irish accent and a tilt of his head. He leaned his back against the freezing window and folded his arms to warm them. "Don't you have a class now?" he asked curiously watching the students pass by.

Fin was walking towards his next class, ehen he bumped into a Gryffindore he had never met before. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to run into you like that ummm, what is your name," he asked with a smile. "I'm Fin, nice to meet ya'...and you as well," he said, looking at the Hufflepuff kid.

He had been looking up but turned his attention towards the Ravenclaw boy as he spoke to him. "Allo," he said, freeing a hand and waving before folding his arms again. "Name is Adrian Santok," he told him.

[James McFinnigan]

"Yeah, cool." Fin seemed to not really be listening. "Hey, I'm kind of going to be late for my next class if I don't book it now, so I'll see you later, kay Aaron?" Fin didn't even notice that he had gotten the Hufflepuff's name wrong, as he was too busy running down the hall.
