Professor Dara walks into the infirmary, Alana James hovering in front of her. She sets the Ravenclaw girl down on one of the beds and then turns to the cupboards, "There must be something that'll do..."

Alana stirred and opened her eyes. She looked around. She saw Professor Didier(did i spell that right?) and asked her, "Professor? Where am I?"

Grace ran into the infirmary carrying her shoes in one hand and the end of her dress in the other. She saw Prof Dirier and Alana and ran to the bed where they were. "I lost my shoe on the stairs," she explained. "Alana?" She saw the ravenclaw was conscience, "What happened back there? I still want to help somehow."

"Alright, would you be willing to offer up your blood?" she asked, doubting a bit that someone so young would, but at the same time, not entirely sure about this girl. She hadn't had much chance to interact with Miss Marks, but this was certainly way to.

"My blood?" said Grace, "but why would she need my blo- ... oh, is she a vampire, professor?" Grace looked at Alana. The few conversations that she had had with the ravenclaw gave no indication that she was a ... "I'm willing to give my blood professor, but how?"

Alana spoke up for the first time. "Just make a small cut on your wrist vein with this" she said as she pulled a small silver, jeweled dagger out of her hidden sheath on her back and handed it to Grace. "I'll do the rest."

"That won't be nessecary Alana, I found a much less painful way to transfer blood to a vampire when I was engaged to one in France..." she trailed off a bit dreamily, then pulled out a small gold syringe. "This little thing kept him healthy all through our tour of Europe when we were searching for proper chapels to get married in. It only needs a few drops of blood and then it magically reproduces the same type of blood until the vampire is done." she handed the syringe to Grace.

Grace looked at the funny little thing in her hand, then at the professor, "how do I use it, professor?"

"Press the point of the needle to your arm and the needle itself will press down just far enough to get a single drop of blood, then retract and you'll be all done." she said with a nod. "The only thing you'll feel is a little bit of pressure."

I hope you're right, professor, Grace thought. She rolled the shiney gold syringe in the palm of her hand. She made a decision. She grasped the syrines in her hand and nodded a smile at the professor.
Grace held the point of the syringe tothe back of her elbow and felf it's cold sharpness slip into her skin with a bit of a prick. It did it's magic and retracted itself. Grace looked at the funny little instrument, paused, then handed to the professor.

"Wonderful." she said taking hold of the syringe again. She took the handle at the back end of the instrument and pulled it to its full length. The vial filled with a dark red liquid and the professor popped the needle out, handing the crystal vial itself to Alana, "There you go, you'll feel like new in no time."

Alana took the vial with a grateful smile. "Cheers." she said as she raised the vial to her lips

Grace watched as Alana drank the warm red liquid. "How is it? ... the ... the blood, I mean? How's it taste?" Grace was interested ... more curious about the life of a vampire.

Alana contemplated the question for a moment before replying, "Sorta like white wine. Only sweeter."

Grace considered Alana's answer for a moment, "sweet white wine, hum! That's cool! Is it all you have though? Not scones? No bacon? *Gasp* NO ICE CREAM!?!"
