Helia had gotten a note from Professor Moncrieff that would let her check out the books on wand making from the restricted section. She smiled softly as she stepped through the enchanted door way without problem. 'I have to remember to do extra well in classes so that Ravenclaw can win the house cup for Professor Moncrieff. I owe him big.' she thought as she walked through the shelves of books on advanced magic. "Now then, if the library catalogue is correct then there should be a book right about... here." she smiled and picked up a small, green cloth-bound book with brown letters across the front that read, 'The history of wand making: How we got to where we are today'. She smiled, "One down, three more to go."
She continued walking through the bookshelves until she found two more books, 'Common and uncommon wand materials, uses, and meanings' and 'The artistry of the wand'. She smiled at the three books she now held, continuing on until she reached the last row of books at the back of the restricted section. In the eighth bookshelf to her left, on the nineteenth row from the bottom, six books from the right there was supposed to be a book which registered the wands of every student that had ever gone to Hogwarts. She bit her lip, 'It's so far up...' she thought in slight despair. 'If only I were three feet taller...' she stretched and reached, but to no avail, and since her own wand had not yet been sent back by her uncle there was no possible chance of 'accio'ing it down. "How annoying." she muttered grimly, that was until she heard someone moving around a few bookshelves away, presumably a teacher. "Excuse me?" she called out, "Is someone there that could help me get a book down?"

Shuffling through the shelves, Prof Addis heard a familiar voice. he turned in the direction it came, then left the book he was reading. He traced the voice to the location and saw Helia, struggling to reach a book.
"Well, you wish to get the book? Use the ladder." Leigh said, using his wand to bring the ladder from further down the aisle. He smiled when it arrived in front of Helia. "Don't let Professor Munchington find out you used it, Helia." He then saw the amount of books in her arms, the sighed. "I'll get the book then." He quickly made his way up the ladder. "Which one is it?"

"Should be sixth from the right on the nineteenth shelf, it's titled 'Virga Recordatio Enim Hogwarts," she said, hoping she had pronounced it right. Latin had never really stuck with her the way other languages did.

"Latin, easily found." Prof Addis said, scanning the shelves. He found it and saw the leather bound covering with the latin words in gold. He smiled before leaping off the ladder with a joyful grin on his face. He landed lightly in front of Helia, smiling like a giddy child. He suddenly regained his composure and felt his cheeks burn. "I always did that as a child, just thought I'd do it now just for old times sake."

"Jumping off of things does seem like something you'd enjoy, I now understand why you're the defense teacher here." she said, only being able to imgaine what kind of trouble Professor Addis caused as a student.

"I'm the Defence teacher because I was into dueling when I was a student here, just ask Professor Wigglyfish how many duels I participated in, but don't ask her how many I actually lost..." He said, trailing off slightly. "Well, here's your book."

She took the book gently and smiled, "Thank you professor. I may very well talk to Professor Wigglyfish about your dueling days. I'm sure there are some interesting stories there." she said smiling, "Hm... Well, now I must go and start studying these so I can write my essay for Professor Moncrieff," she turned and started to walk out into the regular library, then stopped short and looked at Professor Addis, "When is my 'detention' going to start with you though?" she asked, still thouroughly excited by the prospect of learning more about the Exdamentia spell.

"Your detention will start whenever Professor Moncrieff has finished his with you." Prof Addis said, "Don't ask Prof Wigglyfish my win/lose record, please don't."

"Oh, fine. I won't. I may find out a bit anyways though," she said as she patted the brown leather book happily. "See you around Professor Addis," she said as she quickly scurried out of the restricted section and into the main library. She found a nice little table with a gold desk lamp and opened up the Hogwarts wand register, 'This ought to be fun...' she said smirking as she grabbed a quill and ink bottle out of her pocket to begin her research.

Jerred slowly walked behind Helia and looked over her shoulder without her noticing. he saw her broken wand and heard about how she broke it. He felt pity for her as magic could not be used. He sighed, then stepped away slowly, before saying, "Hey, Helia, whats up?"

"Oh, not much..." she said looking up at Jerred. "I'm doing some... research on wands. I know that mine is being repaired by my uncle and all so I don't have to worry about that but... Well, honestly, I want to try and help Kim. Her wand was broken beyond repair... I figure, maybe wand making is in my genes and I can make her a new one... You probably think I'm crazy don't you?" she asked with a smirk.

"No, no, sounds perfectly sound to one who is already crazy!" Jerred said, jokingly. "How'd Kim break her wand?" Genuine concern in his eyes.

"I'm not sure exactly. I know it happened when she was possesed by that necklace, beyond that I've no clue." she shrugged.

"Oh, I never knew she broke it... I never asked her, nor did I ever see her use magic." Jerred said, in barely a whisper. "Well, whats so interesting about wands? Find some willow, ask a unicorn for some tail hair and then combine them somehow. Shouldn't be too hard."

She started laughing, "Okay, you go and get some willow, ask a unicorn for some tail hair, combine them 'somehow' and then tell me how easy it is." she shook her head, "You'd be surprised how hard this stuff is... but still fascinating."
