Leigh stood in the Hufflepuff common room, awaiting the arrival of all the Hufflepuff House members. He had to rally them to work harder than before to win the House cup. He was leaning against the wall near the fire place when he suddenly heard a horde of students feet enter the room.

"That was totally wicked," Grace called, as she walked into the common room and saw their head of house standing near the fire. "Prof, how are you?" she asked walking towards him and sitting in her favourite seat next to the fire, Addis opposite her.

Boggleworth quickly followed Grace in givng a hearty greeting to his Head of House "how are thee this fine day Addis? Well I trust?" He then shoved Grace up playfully to sit next to her saying "budge over please my love!" he enjoyed teasing her in public especially in front of teachers.

Thom, who had been loitering on the dorm stairs, jumped the last few steps and sauntered over to the small gathering. "Addis, boss." he winked cheekily.

Girty ran into the common room waving around her shoe. "Grace you stepped on the heal and now it has fallen off. I tired to get it back on but I'm hopeless and now...."She broke off and turned around to face Professor Addis. her face turned red and she slowly moved towards her floor spot by the fire. "Sorry Professor. Did not see you there."

Grace smiled at Bog and jumped onto his lap, "how's that?" she asked jokingly. She smiled apologecitally at Girty, "sorry about that, by the way."

Girty looked up at Grace. "Does not matter, it is no problem just, it seems bigger with the Professor here." She laughed then turned to Thom. "Shut up you." She giggled at Thom.

Grace smiled and tapped Bog on the shoulder, "don't even think of it. I'm not a child!" She smiled at Girty, then looked to the professor, "so, prof, what did you want to talk to us about? I assumed you did, ah, do." She shot an embarrassed smile around the room.

"Enough!" Leigh snapped, his face red in anger. He stepped forward and looked at each and every student who had stepped into the room. "I called this meeting for one reason, and one reason only. We are Hufflepuff's, we are the best house in the school! But for the amount of students there, we need more points! Yes, House Points. We have been behind for too long! I want to win, and if I have to hand out points for correctness and manners, then I shall do." Leigh laughed and knew that only three students acknowledged him politely. "40 points to each student who said hello to me. Yes, I'm going to reward good behaviour."

Thom beamed at Addis as if it were Christmas. "Really? Good behaviour?" he rubbed his hands together. For far too long Thom had sat back and watched as Moncrieff had handed out tens of points to his Ravenclaws for pointless and menial tasks, and too long had they got away with trouble just because Moncrieff was always first on the scene. This would certainly put a sock in Halo and Erika's gawping beaks...
Thom stood up and began to rub the leather of the sofa with his sleeve. "Just helping out the house elves, sir!" he said encouragingly to Addis.
