Ooooh I love Matt’s epidemic idea too. I definitely think that sort of situation would bring Ridders together, and the Hospital Wing needs to be used a bit more… plus it centralises the plot within Hogwarts and doesn’t leave too many conflicting groups… although it would be cool if the sick and the healthy sort of became segregated from each other, the ill given a negative stigma (although it could work all sorts of ways). Nice one, Matt!
I think one of the main problems that Ridd has had is that we just don’t know what each other is doing. I mean, I haven’t read half of the current threads going on at the moment (It’s not that I don’t want to, it’s just time – I can tell they’re all good quality though
I remember Gail did a really good job in summarising all of Ridd’s more significant happenings during the last plot, and there was a link to it on the main page too. Perhaps it would be more convenient for Gail (and the rest of us too) if there was a thread/board for people to post summaries of what has happened in their threads, such as “The Fat Lady”, “Haggard Appearance”, “Just The Usual” etc. Like, if there’s any plot points they feel is worth mentioning, or useful to other Ridd members, even if it’s just secrets revealed about a character or an injury. I’m sure I’m probably just exceptionally lazy in that I haven’t had a chance to read everything – but for all I know there could be something amazingly cool occurring plot-wise, and I have no idea about it!
Would anyone object if I made a “Plot/Thread Summaries” thread for everyone to use? It’d be good for people to catch up on 4-page long threads in one paragraph (although the full thing is always much more enjoyable. Plus it’d help people visualise the overall structure of everything that is going on; add their own strands to the web.
