Term Three on its way

I have just realised something...

It's going to be term 3 in a month's time =O Has term 2 gone really quick for everyone else? I seem to remember term 1 lasting forever... but anyway.. getting distracted as usual =D

Anything that people want to see in Term 3?
Whether in RP or the site generally. New boards?

I will get the Quadwizard Tournament sorted for Term 3 (sorry that it hasn't be done already!), also a ball/dance of some kind (perhaps to do with the tournament..?) Any suggestions for any other activities?

I was also thinking of doing a new "Riddikulus Fanfic Challenge" as that kinda died. I'll leave the old one there to be done again if Jordy comes back.. but in the mean time a new one? Would people be interested in that?

So basically, SUGGESTIONS PWEASE!

I think we should have a Valentines ball this month too! There aren't many couples on this site! Not that Fagin is looking for anyone mind! Freaky.

Maybe any sort of big social event for the school could do with it's own board if that's possible, so then we can have many plots within the one larger one. Otherwise conversations can get very confusing is all.
The quadwizard tournament could begin with a big ball for the new champions, they have to do the first dance like in Goblet of Fire.

We could do with more teachers too, and I was thinking of maybe organising some kind of test so you answer the questions in character. It could be a written test which would be more boring I think personnally or say especially for DADA an actual practical test of skills learnt. Cause then 5th years could get OWL's possibly, I just think that'd be a cool idea though difficult to start off I'd be more than willing to try it out.

Sounds good though cannae wait for term 3!! Yay I'd like to take a more active part in organising things too!

Gah... I'm really sorry I haven't been around lately. My motivation to do anything but breathe has completely fizzled out. Since Darin disappeared (sobs) I just haven't had the strength to come online...

I really love Thom but he's definitely got to go for Term 3. He's getting lame being here. I'm going to send him off to the ministry I think! Speaking of what Matt was saying bout DADA - I made Jono because we need more teachers, and I'm reaaaaaally sorry I haven't used him at all yet! I was thinking of doing an exam too but never got round to it!

The tourn really needs to get underway. It'll be ace when it's started and you and me Gail can finally use Michael and Gabriel! I need to use Mirren a bit more too... he's so cute. n.n I'd really love another student but due to my inactiveness I reckon I'll just have to stick to my teacher and background dudes...

I want the Ball!!! That'd be so sweet!

I know you don't want too many boards on here, but I've always really wanted a Shrieking Shack and bathrooms boards. I reckon they'd be really useful in big plots!

I'd also like to add, I like the idea of bathroom boards, or at least a prefects bathroom since we no longer have a prefects common room. There needs to be a place for the semi-responsible students to chill

I was thinking of creating a teacher....as Girty always goes on about her brother Dan so maybe it would be cool to create him as a character. If so might i be able to make him the Charm's teacher??

I think creating some new clubs should be in order. Perhaps some sort of "New Marauders" since some of the people on the site are becoming Animagi and others of us want to be able to as well
Or maybe something along the lines of "Unified Hogwarts" with a couple members from each house that could go around causing trouble for people...
I don't know, jsut trying to come up with some new possibilities...

And is Jordy ever coming back? The site is in sore need of a Head Master/Mistress... and I for one miss all his other characters too!

I don't really have any ideas, but I love what Mozess said about the 'New Marauders' and how some more people might have a chance to be Animagi.

And then the 'trouble making', it's so fun. Dunno, but looking forward to Term Three!

Och, there needs to be more for graduated students to do! Perhaps if we made some sort of housing board for older characters to create living places? Perhaps even expand into diagon alley and ministry boards?
I may be making things a lot more complicated than they need be, but Helia's getting bored, and that could be dangerous for everyone

Hmm... speaking of which, she's probably going to need to take on an apprentice soon...

Looks like we're getting the ideas flowing which is brilliant, though how possible some of them are is questionable, like living places for older students doesn't sound beneficial and useful enough for me, sorry! Maybe just an outside of hogwarts area where whatever you want can be posted up, so for example if someone wanted to go shopping in Diagon Alley then they could or have Ministry of Magic plots, that sounds cool more M of M stuff.
Marauder ideas I think are really cool, I've always been one for mischief, that was what the guild was sort of supposed to be about, but kinda failed whoops.

We need a ball before this term is over, seirously! The last one with all the older characters (kim, lisa, kieron, etc.) was cool, and I'd like to see what the new generation of riddies has to offer. It could be like, and end-of-term party! Eh?

Ok, Here I go:

Ball: Definately go to be one like I've already said, just a matter of when. Start of Term Ball? Tournament Ball? A Valentines Ball would be ages away because its not Feb in RP time. Perhaps a Halloween Ball? - that wouldn't be too far away. On the 20th Feb Term 3 (September) starts so March would be Halloween time. When does everyone want it? Or what for?

Shack: We use to have The Shack but it was hardly posted in so I got rid of it. (I was going to make a cheap joke then about getting rid of something off rid, but I thought better of it =P) We could always give it another go though if enough people are interested...?

The Ministry: I had been contemplating making a ministry board because at one point we were getting lots of plots and characters revolving around the ministry. This can still happen, again if people are interested and think they will use it. (Like Lena mentioned its another option for the older students, which sounds good to me!) I need to get Patsy to come back on Ridd, so we can continue the whole "Ministry coming to Hogwarts" plot. I think the ministry would be really cool to have.. would any want to create ministry characters?

Bathrooms/Prefect Room: I'm a bit dubious about bathrooms - not sure how much RP would occur in them - hmmm, I'll have a think about it. I reckon Prefects should have something extra again, the common room wasn't that successful but I think that was because the prefects weren't that active at that point in time. Prefect -bathroom- is limited though I think - so perhaps try out the Prefect Common Room again..?

Teachers: I think I had already reshuffled the teachers before you posted it Leigh... it has needed to be done for a while now. So quite a few teacher positions are now available if anyone is interested.

Clubs: These definately need sorting out! They haven't been that active nor successful.. but I reckon some of the new club ideas could work well! So, if anyone definately wants to create one, just tell me.

Headteacher: This I was going to change anyway. Matt has shown an interest in creating a character for the Headmaster spot, meaning he is sure to be active. As I've discussed with Amy - a deputy Head would also be cool. So anyone interested in either of these roles? - whether using already made characters or new.

Ouu Also, I was thinking that the site needs a main plot.. the "big evil" I guess.

It just means that things can carry on as usual, but every now and then we can all get involved in big threads.

What does everyone think? And any ideas about this "big evil"?

I was thinking something to do with the forest as this has been a theme throughout the terms at Ridd. I've started mentioning with Rhiannon about how its becoming more and more unsettled... creatures doing odd things... so yeah. Any thoughts?
