Dax ran down the main high street he looked over his shoulder and saw the pack of Slytherin’s were still following him. He skidded to a stop and looked around for somewhere to hide. On his right he saw a shop with its door slightly open. With a sigh of relief he pushed open the door closing it behind him. As he spun around he noticed the shop was in fact rather empty and he had never been inside before. Wondering where the staff was he strode up to the desk and knocked on the main table.
“Hello!!! Is there anybody here?” Dax's face was filled with puzzlement as he looked around still hopeing he would not be found.

She poked her head around a stack of wand boxes, "Hello?" she said curiously, seeing the worry on the boys face. "Can I help you?" she asked as she began pacing around the shop, dusting shelves and tables. Sure she could use magic to do it, but with as little business as she got, she preferred doing it the muggle way to make time pass faster.
She happened to look at the window to see a mob of slytherins arguing and yelling at each other, "Um, that wouldn't happen to have any reason with you burstng in here, would it?" she asked with a chuckle.

With the sound of someone’s voice floating into his ears Dax spun around opened mouthed. Shocked to see a person around his age next to him Dax began to stuttered trying to find the right words.
"Well...those guys out there they...I..."
He let out a small nervous laugh running his hand trough his hair. He looked at the girl knowing he had seen her somewhere before. Searching through his memory he final was able to work out where she had seen this girl before.
“Hey I know you…we met in Herbology. Sorry for not talking to you much in that lesson. Paying attention to what was being said….geek.”
When describing himself as a geek, Dax gave a small smile as his left hand pointed towards himself.

She watched the anxious boy with mild amusement, letting loose a soft chuckle when he called himself a geek, "And somehow you got the idea that I'm not one?" she asked with a smirk. She shook her head, "Nah, I don't mind. I've kind of gotten used to the solitude that comes with "real life" and other such boring things..." she made a face before continuing on with her tangent, "Although I must say I'm surprised that you haven't gone running already, with what rumours seem to be spreading around Hogsmeade about the crazy old hermit that runs the wand shop," she chuckled. Some store owners didn't like it when anything new graced the order of their streets, especially when it happened to be something as mind boggling as wands. She did find it amusing to hear the stories people told about her though, seeing as none of them had ever entered her shop before.

At the mention of a crazy old hermit Dax looked around the shop, his eyes were searching every part of the shop wondering if the hermit would jump out at him. By the time he had looked over half the shop it final clicked on his head. With a lopsided grin and a small nod of the head he turned back to the girl.
“Oh I get it….your the crazy old hermit. For a second there I thought I was going to get ruby tackled to the ground and mugged….a lot like those lads will do to me if they find me.”
As Dax gave another glance out of the window he was sure he saw the ring leader of the gang. Ducking bellow the window Dax crawled towards the main counter hiding behind it.

She chuckled. What was it with Slytherins and Hufflepuffs all of the sudden? Always on each others cases, trying to get each other into some sort of trouble or another. She reached for a ragged brown shawl hanging on a coat rack by the door, and for a knobby old cane in an umbrella holder beside it. She draped the shawl over herself, hunching down and keeping her face well hidden, then opened the door a crack and stared out at the loitering slytherin boy. She smirked and pressed the tip of her wand to her throat with an uttered "Demitto." She opened the door wider and shook her cane at the kids, "Stop lazing around, if you've got no business stop scaring off customers!" she bellowed in a deep voice. The slytherin boy gave a jump and ran off after his other cronies like his pants were on fire. She closed the door, returned her props to their places and flicked her wand, saying "Desino." With her voice back to normal she looked over at the counter, "They won't be back for awhile if you'd care to come out from there?" she said cheerily.

Dax crawled out from the counter with a shy grin on his face and thankful eyes. As soon as he was in the open again he gingery stood up rubbing his sore knees and brushing the dust off his hands.
“Bit dusty.” He said in a cheeky way while running his figure over the shelf next to him. As Dax raised the figure up towards his eyes and studied the blackness he gave another laugh. “Good job you do not serve food otherwise the health and safety officers would close this place down.”
Even at the thought of food Dax felt a twinge in his stomach. As the rumble filled the room, his hands automatically dropped down to his stomach, hugging it closely. “Sorry about that”

"Well, you know I was going to offer you some tea and sandwiches that I keep around for customers in the kitchen in the back of the shop, but if you're so worried about the health and regulations I suppose I'll just have to eat it myself," and with a flick of her wand a silver tray came through a hidden door in the back of the shop. It landed beside the register, laiden with a silver tea service and three plates of finger sandwiches. She pulled up a barstool to the high counter and sat down, picking up a cucumber sandwich and pouring herself a cup of tea before looking over at Sax again, "Unless you suddenly find that my store-keeping skills have miraculously improved?" she asked with a wave of her wand, pulling up another chair.

As Helia brought out the tray of sandwiches Dax’s eyes grew wide with desire and his mouth watered at the want to taste the delicious looks food. Raising his hands form his stomach Dax wiped his mouth with his sleeve just in case any saliva had passed through his lips. Then with a low mumble Dax tried to answer Helia’s question.
“I suppose the dust will not have been disturbed enough to cover the bread, or even if it did, not to a life threatening standard.”
He almost glided across the room towards the sandwiches with his arms stretched out. Even before he could ask he found himself taking a huge bite out of it. The coolness of the cucumber filled his mouth as the juices ran across his tongue. “Oh that is nice”

She tried to hold in a laugh that was itching to get out, "Yeah... um... are they starving you at school or something?" a small snicker escaped. Aside from the dragons her brother kept, she couldn't remember seeing anyone with quite that large an appetite... Well, there was Ron of course, but she hadn't seen him in months.
She tilted her head, "So, is there any reason specifically why those Slytherins were chasing you?" she asked curiously. "I mean, don't get me wrong, apparently wand shops are great places for hard-core criminals to hide, I just like knowing what kind of accesory I am; murder, arson, grand theft broomstick?" she shrugged non-challantly as if these were perfectly reasonable explainations.

With a large swallow Dax looked over at Helia and laughed at the thought of Hogwarts actually starving there pupils. There would have to be some sort of crisis for the huge tables in the great hall to become empty. Dax was about to explain that he had missed breakfast because he was too busy talking to a rather pretty Ravenclaw girl when Helia asked about the Slytherin.
With a nervous laugh Dax looked at his feet. “I well…I was a gentleman and helped this girl up who had tripped up. After helping back to her feet, I started to help brush the dust off her and then we laughed and started to flick each others hair and then well that Slytherin came along. I did not know it was his sister. How those two are related I shall nerve know but he and his ‘gang’ started to chaser me down the street.”
A little red it the face Dax looked up and gave a week smile at Helia, but his eyes soon fell onto the tray of sandwiches once more.

She raised an eyebrow and shook her head in disbelief, "Rule number one: Always ask a girl if she has a brother before you start flirting with her," she laughed loudly. Slytherins were certainly one of the more interesting species of human, especially when it came to family. What it was with them and genes, she for one didn't want to find out.

Dax gave a small smile as Helia sate the rules. "Rule number 1??? Hum....I think for me it is rule number 9. Rule number 1 is make sure they are female."
Dax gave a small shudder as he thought about the many times he had started to flirt with very feminine looking men or even the odd wizard had flirted with him. Running the rules through his head he though hard about where brothers came into it. Female, name, nose size, hair colour, house, smile, colour of eyes, mood, scary brothers..
After the silence had lasted a long time, Dax shot a smile at Helia and a small wink. “So then by my calculations you and I are on step 9.”

She rolled her eyes. 'Another casanova... damn,' thought Helia with a grimace. 'Best get this dealt with quickly...' "What? Given up on the Slytherin's Sister already?" she asked in a sacron sweet voice, "Seems to me you'd be the type to take that kind of challenge?" she stood up, grabbed a feather duster and began wandering around the store. She wasn't usually one to care about her store-keeping skills, but she had lost her free labor in Boggleworth a week ago, so it was probably time to get back into the swing of things. Should any of the gossiping store keepers ever grace her establishment, she wouldn't want their rumours to be confirmed. "Besides, my brother raises dragons and you also seem the type that would prefer not to get charbroiled."

Feeling rather embarrassed by Helia sudden change in mood he stood up and walked after her as she dusted more shelves. “Well you see I was just helping the Slytherin…I can not help it if I’m a jolly fellow who was simply trying to be friendly but in the process seemed like I was flirting.”
A small frown filled Dax’s face. Having to explain your actions was harder then he thought it would have been, he was only having a bit of harmless fun, with both the Slytherin girl and Helia. Trying to keep the mood lively Dax gave a rather pathetic evil laugh.
“See it is you now who is moving up the stages. I did not ask what your brother did….but still you told me. I must be irresistible to Ravenclaw’s.” Dax hoped that Helia would realise he was only joking as he did have a rather wide grin on his face.
