Boggleworth strolled leasurely down to the Three Broomsticks whistling cheerfully, he seemed his usual happy self to all passers-by, but his closest friends would have noticed a glint in his eye and his smile being just a tad forced. Inside he was battling furiously with his conciense, or at least Henry liked to call himself that, more likely the devil. Henry had tried un-successfully to persuade Boggleworth that Grace wasn't good enough for him, so now he was trying a different tact. she's too good for you oh do be quiet I shall persist until you hear me out that's one thing I'll give you, you're a persistent little bugger why thankyou Boggleworth swept by the multitude of students clambering over a fallen crate, until he reached the sign of the Three Broomsticks. Now shut up and let me think please just remember she's too pretty for the likes of us, too smart and kind Henry I'm off, get rid of her whilst you've still got the chance Pushing the door ajar Boggleworth peaked inside, it looked like the coast was clear, he had become rather paranoid of Vandesar turning up, flinging the door wide open, he entered, and gasped when he saw Grace already seated at the table, was he late?

Grace was sitting at a table in the far corner, fingering a mug of warm hot chocolate. She had hardly touched it. In stead she had come early to think about things. She did not usually like spending so much time inside herself, it scared her most times but now more then ever it was necessary.
Every time the door of the inn swung open Grace intentionally lowered her gaze. She did not want to see ... Gracie! What are you talking about! Of course you want to see him! You love him! she told herself. And then he walked in. He eyes were wide with shock for a moment then shock melted away into a smile. She waved at him to come over and join her as she sipped her hot chocolate.

Boggleworth grinned happily, it didn't look as though he was to be scolded for arriving late, he strolled over saying in an old gentleman's voice "Grace, my love," he chuckled "how are we this fine day?" Reverting to his normal voice he said sincerly whilst kssing her on the cheek "you look wonderfully beautiful." He looked towards the bar and gave his apology "one moment please," and rushing to the bar he whispered to Rosmerta "come on you owe me one," and a sizeable bag passed between them. Rosmerta smiled "young people in love" she whispered shaking her head then she shouted "closing time!" as Boggleworth took his seat his smile growing byb the second somehow, the customers rapidly left the pub and the Starter was laid out. "Hope you enjoy it," laughed Boggleworth enjoying the startled look on Grace's face.

Grace was surprised Rosmerta was closing so soon but when Bog sat down again she understood. She stayed seated and stared wide eyed at the marvels Bog produced. "You always know how to make a girl feel special, don't you!?" she asked more to herself then anything else. She love the surprises Bog always had for her, they were always surprising, keeping her life interesting.

Post by Girty Hubbles on Sept 23, 2006 13:45:38 GMT
Girty walked up to the three broomsticks and tried to get through the door. However two big people wearing black appeared through the door knocking her over. She looked up off the floor and stared at them harshly. “Idiots. Look where your going.” As she stood up and brushed the dirt off her she tried to move toward the door again but the two main stepped inward and blocked the way. “Can I go in?” The bouncers gave no response. But in Girty’s mind she almost heard an answer so carried on talking. “Why not?” Still they did not answer. It must have been strange to a passer by the see a small student looking up and these two huge men having a convocation with them. “I believe you should let me. My friends are in there. You must let me in.”
Still they did not move. But Girty noticed a gap underneath them. She ran under and pushed open the door. Inside she saw the empty pub with Grace and Bog sitting in the corner. “Good afternoooooooooo” In the middle of greeting them the bouncers had took hold of Girty’s legs and started to pull her out of the door. She took hold of the door frame and hung on for dear life. The door kept closing on her head and the bouncers seemed to be getting angry. They started to pull harder and soon Girty had to let go. They dumped her in the middle of the street and walked back to there post by the door. Girty sat still not feeling very happy. “I’ll show them.”
(sorry I was bored, and that it is long. I may post random bits like this again if the thread has gone quite for a bit if that is ok?”)

(it's fine! This thread is difficult and I don't know how to manage it so do whatever,) Boggleworth was too busy gazing into Grace's eyes to notice the commotion at the door, he didn't even look up as he lost himself in her beautiful eyes. "I try," he muttered, now it came to it he was suddenly feeling a lot more nervous, it was extremly unlikely his plan would go off without a hitch. A soup was served for the starter and Boggleworth joked, "what's this green stuff here," prodding some cabbage with his worn wooden spoon, and giving an almost nervous laugh. what if it fails? he wondered what if what fails? none of your business, just stay clear...please pleaded Boggleworth slipping his hand into his pocket he grinned then began to relax a little more. "Anything for you, well within reason," he laughed slurping his soup.

Grace smiled sheepishly, as she did whenever Bog was around, and nodded, "soup sounds smashing, thanks!" Grace's heart was beating like a drum in her head. Why was she so nervous, it was not as though she had never gone on a date before. So whydid she have butterflies in her stomach? She couldn't understand it.
She smiled as delicately sipped her soup. After she could stand the silence no longer she put down her spoon and looked at Bog with shining eyes. "So why are we hear?" she asked as kindly as she could. The curiosity had been driving her crazy.

Boggleworth relaxed some more as they eased into conversation, "the question is, why would we not be here? I mean to be perfectly honest, where else could we go?" he chuckled. Finishing his vegetable soup and pushing the dish away he continued pretending to be sad "this is all I can afford," then laughed heartily, but seeing the look on Rosmerta's face he added "but it's quaint is it not?"

Grace slammed her spoon down angrily onto the table. She had a stoic expression on her face as she looked at the boy across the table from her. "Why do you always have to do that?" she asked sarcastically. "Always bringing up money and ruining the mood and ... why?! You always do it and it's really annoying!"

Startled by Grace's sudden outburst Boggleworth scowled, "I'm just being realistic," he retorted "one of us needs to have some concern of money," He grimaced as Rosmerta took their plates away. In a more level tone he continued "there's really no need to get so uptight, do I really do it all the time?" he asked genuinely not knowing.

Grace nodded slowly. "Every chance you get, it seems," she said softly with a detest. She dropped her angry gaze to the floor. "It's as though nothing else is important to you. Like you care for nothing else but your precious money! Ag!-" she leaned on the table "-It's disgusting the way you seem to idolise it! For crying out loud, it's only money!"

Indignantly Boggleworth countered sternly yet slowly for effect "I do...not idolise money, one of us has to think of our future," he spat becoming more annoyed by the minute he took a small box from his pocket and tossed it across the table. The little box bounced and landed in Grace's lap. "not quite how I wanted to do it but, only money got you this," he grinned and chuckled standing and moving around the table "I know it's stupid but, ah what the heck..." Boggleworth kneeled and laughed "Grace, I do love you so, will you marry me?"

Grace's jaw nearly dropped off. It was so unexpected. She stared at Bog, kneeling in front of her, and picked up the small box in her lap. She flipped open the lid and looked at the ring inside. It was bigger then she would have imagined possible and sparkled in the light. She could do nothing but blink, she blinked from the ring to Bog. "Wh.. wh..." she tried to say but her mouth was too dry to be able say anything.
Quickly, she closed it and hid it under her palms in her lap. She swallowed hard and locked eyes with Bog. "What makes you think that this was the right time to ask?" she asked solemnly. "We hardly talk and when we do it usually ends up in me crying and you asked me to ma- marry you! Bog, have you hit your head again?"

"Oh bother!" said youthful Sammy "I hate to see people in distress. We've never met before "she said expecting the quizzical look on Grace's face. "My name is Sammy I can tell when people are very distressed and I simply can't bear it. I didn't mean to barge in on you like this. I do appologize.

Grace glared at Bog for a moment longer before looking up to see a slytherin girl. "Oh, no it's alright," Grace said, looking back at Bog and standing up. "We were finished anyway," she said, and walked to the girl. "Well, Sammy," she said smiling, "I'm Grace and that over there is Bog but you can call him Mr Inappropriate."
