Mandrake strode in to the shrieking shack from the cold night out on the Hogsmeade streets shivering. He lit a small fire in the corner of the room and conjured up two chairs. He took a seat in one and awaited for the person that would occupy the other. He rubbed his hands together trying to warm up. "Stupid cold!" he shouted aloud. He went on rubbing his hands. He jumped suddenly. He heard someone coming up the stairs. Mandrake pulled his wand out and waited until the silhouette of a man appeared in the doorway. "Come." Mandrake said to the man. The man did so. "Sit." the man did. "Well Regrel, did you have any trouble finding the place?" mandrake said with a cold, cruel laugh. Nicholas Regrel sat silently, glaring. "Now Nicholas." Mandrake cooed. "No need to be stiff. Would you like a drink?'' Nicholas shook his head silently. Mandrake conjured up some wine and drank from the bottle.
An hour passed in silence while Mandrake drank from the wine bottle. Nicholas sat there to afraid to move an inch. "So. Do you have the item in question?" Nicholas nodded and pulled a parcel out of his robe pocket and handed it to Mandrake. Mandrake greedily opened the box and smiled at its contents. Out he pulled a shiny locket. Mandrake shivered and put it into his pocket. Finally Nicholas spoke in a nervous voice. "Mandrake. I need that back. The Aurors are on my tail. I just managed to get here alive. Give it back so I can give it back." Mandrake said nothing. "Mandrake!" Nicholas became desperate now. "I. Need. It. Back! My life depends on it!'' Still mandrake said nothing. "Thats it! I am turning you over to the Aurors!"
"I cant let you do that." Mandrake finally said. "It wouldn't be wise."
"I cant sit and do nothing! They'll kill me!" Nicholas screamed desperately. Nicholas reached for his wand, but he was no match for Mandrake. "Avada Kadavra! Nicholas' body crumpled to the floor. mandrake stood up, and with one last look at Nicholas' lifeless corpse, he walked out of the shrieking shack whistling a merry tune.
