Isabel had been in her office, looking down upon the grounds. They seemed somwhat empty, aside from a few students here and there, but overall, it seemed quiet. She sighed to herself as she had decided that going outside would be her best bet. She had not actually been out there and gotten a good look at everything on the grounds, and since it was Sunday, she figured that she should. So, turning from the window to look at the rest of the room, she grabbed her pink sweater from her closet and slipped it on over her white, long-sleeve shirt as she put her feet into a pair of tennish shoes, which were white. After doing so, she zipped the front of her sweater up and then pulled her hair from under it so that it was not 'tied down'. After doing so, she walked from her office, a bounce in her step. Her hair bounced as well when she walked, hitting her shoulders each time that it came down.
She made her way through the corridors, down the stone steps, and into the entrance hall. She looked up at the ceiling with a large chandelier. She smiled as she saw it, amazed with how complex Hogwarts was, but at the same time, it was simple--simpler than the Muggleworld with their high-tech stuff. She shook her head somewhat. Hogwarts was not ceasing to amaze her, and that was really good. She was starting to feel at home there, even though there was magic all around. However, she was starting to consider Hogwarts as her 'second home' or possibly her 'home away from home'. She was not sure of what to call it, but whatever it was, it would have the title of 'home' in it.
After looking around, admiring the entrance hall, she saw the two large oak doors. She approached them, and they opened. She looked up at the top of them and then down so that she could see the grounds. She smiled somewhat as she felt the cool breeze of October blowing lightly into the castle. It made her shiver somewhat as it hit her face, but she ignored the uncomfortable feeling and then made her way down the stone steps that led into the castle and into the courtyard. There were various flowers and some trees here and there. The trees were losing their leaves and the flowers, their petals. She loved the look of fall there in the United Kingdom and at Hogwarts as a small area. It was much different from Colombia or even Spain. Things were never really so colorful in other places where she had previously lived.
She walked through the courtyard and into the lawns of Hogwarts, looking around at the few people that were there as well as the trees, flowers, and other wildlife around her. She loved the outdoors, no matter what, and she was really liking the outside of Hogwarts. She thought that it was an amazing view from her office, but it was better being there! She could not get the smile from ear-to-ear to leave her face, but it would eventually. However, she turned to her right, and there was a lake. Of course, she had already noticed that before, but she was seeing it. They called it the Black Lake, possibly because it was so dark and gloomy-looking. She had read about it in a book somewhere while she had attended school. It was said to have a giant squid in it as well as merpeople and grindylows. She would doubtfully ever try to swim in the lake, but it seemed like a nice thing to just sit and look at.
So, seating herself on the ground by the lake, she looked at it. The sun was reflected in the water, causing it to sparkle. The sun shining on the water was like diamonds. The reflections of the various things in the sky, such as the clouds, as well as the few trees and the castle that were nearby were also reflected in the water. She smiled as she sighed to herself and then brought her knees to her chest, wrapping her arms around them lightly. She then rested her chin on her knees and looked at the water, feeling a sense of peace and relaxation. It was enjoyable, and she knew that she would probably come there more often now that she had actually seen it up close for the first time. However, as much as she liked it, she could not help but to feel somewhat bored and lonely as the October breeze swept across the ground and rusteled her hair against her face. She did not really know anybody yet, but soon enough, she would know a few, more than likely. (801 words)

Girty was fed up. Very fed up. She had been walking around the castle grounds now for around an hour but yet still she has not found anything for her to do. She soon found herself walking toward the lake.It was shining in the sun, looking so clarm and peacefully. But not for long. Girty ran with all her might toward the lake and as she approached the shore she leapt into the air and landed with a huge splash knee deep int he lake. Girty let out laugh and started to kick the water around her. As she spun around she noticed someone near the lake. It did not look like a student. Girty stood and squinted at the person before pulling out her glasses. As she slipped them on everywhere around her became much more clear. it was not a student it was a professor. She started to walk out of the lake and headed toward the shore where the teacher was sitting. her robes dripped as she left and she could feel water squishing in her shoes but Girty simply laughed it off. "Hello" Girty said weakly to the professor "lovely day"

Isabel had not been aware that there was a student wandering around the grounds until she felt some small drops of water hit her face since a student had jumped into the water, landing knee-deep. When she felt the water hit her, she jumped somewhat and wiped it from her face with the arm of her sweater, looking to see who the person was. She was not sure why they had jumped into the water, considering the fact that it was October and the air and weather were somewhat cool. However, the student approached her, wet robes and squishy shoes included. Isabel looked up at her and heard the girl's greeting and gave a small smile, her cheek bones rising as she did so and as she pushed her hair behind her ears and from her face.
"Hello. And, yes, it is a lovely day. How are you?" She asked simply, her accent in her voice, though it was not heavy, as usual. She looked at the crystal-sparkling water and waited for the girl's response, turning to look at her and provice eye contact to show that she was paying attention. She took in the girl's appearance as she did so, noting that she wore glasses. She said nothing, still, as she waited. (213 words)

Girty laughed nervously as the professor held eye contact. "I'm good thanks. Lovely day." Girty then winced when she remembered that she had already said that. Letting out a huge breath she ran her hand through her brown hair and flopped on the ground. As Girty looked a to the grass she did not know what to say to the professor and whenever Girty is in an apprehensive situation or is nervous she ends up saying the most random and stupid things. "That lake is wet. " She giggled and wiggled her toes in her shoes feeling the water run around in her black shoes. As she tried to calm herself down she looked back at Isabel with her grey eyes and studied her face. “Your new here?” Girty then started to go red in the cheeks. “Sorry that was rude. What do you teach?”

[OOC: *YAWN* Sorry...I am tired...] Isabel looked at the student as she had spoken once again and then plopped down onto the ground. She then commented on how the lake was wet, and the only thing that Isabel could think of what No duh.... However, she did not voice this, for she knew better than to say something so rude and seemingly degrading. So, sighing to herself, she shook her head and then looked at the girl as she spoke, once again. This time the girl said that she was new and then apologized for being rude and asked what she taught. Isabel became somewhat nervous, though she had no idea why. She laughed lightly and spoke, her accent slurring her speech somewhat.
"Yes, I am new here. I teach home economics. I am not sure that you have heard of it before, but if you take the class, I can teach you about it. I think that it is fun, but I do not know what you all here like and do not like.

Girty smiled and listened closely to the professor. She nodded with interest and clapped her hands with excitement when the mention of Home Economics was mentioned. When the professors finished Girty blurted out a question quickly. "Is it magical cooking or muggle cooking?" Her eyes grew wide with excitement as she waited for the professors to answer.
