She smiled broadly after hearing who she was partnered up with. She made her way over to sit by Lisa, "So how do you think we should go about interviewing the new teachers?" she asked trying to count just exactly how many new teacher's there were. There was of course Professor Walton, Professor Dumbldorable, Professor Owen, and she knew there was someone new teaching Care of Magical Creatures and Muggle Studies but she had yet to meet either of those teachers.

Zachary's eyes widened as he listened to the Professor call out their partners, and his head immediately swivelled in Thom's direction. Finally, he resigned to the fact that he was, indeed, the unluckiest boy to ever exist and slumped sulkily in his seat.
At least, his gaze travelled to Liam with narrowed eyes, his partner wasn't a Gryffindor.
Turning back to Thom stubbornly, Zachary crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm certainly not moving over there, if that's what you think." He said, eyeing the two Gryffindors reproachfully. There was an empty seat beside him, and he nodded toward it before staring at Thom haughtily.

Erin shook her head at Zachary as she stood up. She leaned forward and whispered into his ear. "Play nicely." Erin giggled and headed over to Liam. She sat down in a desk beside him and glanced back at Zachary for a moment.
She sighed and turned her attention to her partner. "Um... hi?" she said laughing.

Liam's eyes widened when he realized he was being paired with a Slytherin. Looking back at her, he saw she was walking over and grimaced, shifting as far as he could from the seat next to him without looking too impolite.
When she sat down, he raised his eyebrows. "Er..." After a long pause, he added, "Hi."

Thom made a face as Zachary's name was followed by his own. 'Him?' he hissed to himself, looking at the Slytherin with a snide expression. He clenched his jaw as he stared at the boy determinedly. First I run into him in the forest, then I have to take him along to the Hogshead - now I have to write a bloody article with him?
He threw his head back and let out a half-cry, half-groan. He then saw Zachary looking expectantly at him, gesturing to a seat on the other side of the room. 'No, you...' Thom waved his wand, and the chair Zachary was sitting immediately shot across the room towards Thom, resulting in the boy almost falling off as it came to a sharp halt next to him. 'Come here.'
Thom then leaned forward. 'Any funny business, and I'll be trading you in the Hogshead. Might get a flagon of mead for you, never know...' he whispered, giving Zachary a once over.

Zachary lurched forward, letting out a surprised yelp, before landing none too gently in the space beside Thom. After a moment of surprised spluttering, he narrowed his eyes and crossed his arms over his chest.
"You're a prat, you know that?" He said, making a face before summoning his quick quotes quill. "You better finally prove you have a brain, Moen," he said slowly, watching his quill lift off the desk supsiciously. "I don't want to have to do all the work myself because you're an incompetent Hufflepuff."

Thom shot a glance towards Professor Emery to make sure he wasn't looking, then flicked Zachary hard in the head with his fore finger and thumb. 'Don't talk to me about brains, you useless little brat. I'll be doing the writing - you just ask the questions. I don't trust you don't to make this a piece of Slytherin biased drivel.' he said contemptuously, crossing his own arms across his chest, sizing the smaller boy up.

Erin glared at Thom and threw her piece of parchment at is head, to her surprise it hit him. She then threw her quill at Zach. "Will you two please knock it off?" she scowled. "We get it, you don't like eachother but don't make this any bigger of a problem than it already is. You guys need to concentrate and work together if you're gonna write for the paper."
Erin sighed and looked at Liam. "Don't worry, I won't bite. Let's just get this thing done with."

"Ow! No need to resort to vulgar abuse." Zachary said in a dry voice, staring at Thom indignantly. He rubbed the top of his head, noticing whenever he was near the Hufflepuff, his head nearly always suffered some sort of injury.
Scowling at this revelation, he scooted further away from Thom before rolling his eyes. "Oh yes, I'm going to hand in a completely biased and insulting paper to some loony professor who just ranted to us about honesty." He said sarcastically. "Anyway, my quill's a bloody traitor, so I doubt I'll be getting any pro-Slytherin comments out of it, the stupid thing." He snatched the quill when it began to shudder, not letting it write anything embarrassing, especially in front of Thom.
Feeling something hit his head, Zachary groaned and picked up a quill, before staring at Erin for a moment. When she turned away, he dropped the quill on his desk and looked at Thom with a raised eyebrow. "Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed, this morning."

Erin sighed, she realized she needed her quill AND her parchment in order to do anything. She stood up and walked over to the fueding boys. "Can I get my quill back Zachary?" she asked holding out her right hand. She ran the other hand through her hair and sighed. "Please..." she said, her eyes locked on his.

'Oh, you Slytherins have beds, do you? I was sure snakes slept under logs and rocks.' he smirked darkly.
He then noticed the quill Zachary had dropped onto his desk. It was twitching slightly, and Thom grinned as it suddenly leaped upright, standing stiffly on Zachary's parchment. 'Let's see your unbiased honesty then.' Thom said, grabbed Zachary's hand and placing it over the quill.
It began to dart across the parchment swiftly, desperate to write down all it wished before Zachary could stop it.

Zachary looked mildly offended, before his eyes widened. "Hey- wha- what're you doing? Stop that!" He cried, before pulling his wand off the parchment desperately. He was a little too late, he realized with a groan, seeing the inky words sprawled across the page.
This year's Quidditch teams look incredible in comparison to last term, and already the Hufflepuffs have a full roster with Grace Marks leading them onto the pitch. "She's a lively girl," says Zachary Daniels, a classmate of hers and long-time Hufflepuff admirer. "She'll do her team justice, with her honest game-plans and admirable captaining skills." Many of the Hogwarts students agree--
Zachary made a face, before staring daggers at his quill. His eyes shone with an idea, however, and he was about to pick up Erin's quill when she grabbed it off the table. He held out an arm, as if he were going to reach for it, before dropping it moodily. "Lovely, now I'm stuck with you." He said to his quill grumpily.

Lisa grinned when she heard who her partner was, and smiled as Helia slid into the seat next to her. "I'm not quite sure, same questions of course... Maybe just drop by their offices and ask for an interview?" She thought about all the new teachers and smiled sheepishly, "I have yet to attend some of their classes."

She chuckled, "I refuse to attend some of their classes," then sighed slightly, "And others I just couldn't fit into my times table," she shrugged. "Well, before we tackle actually interviewing them we should probably have some questions prepared..." she thought as she pulled out her Quick Quotes quill. It was far too amusing to keep tucked in her bag. She set it on a piece of paper and said, "Where they're originally from and how old they are could become a bit redundant after awhile..." she thought, remembering how much she disliked most interviews she read in the paper. The only thing she wouldn't admit to anyone was that her subscription was not to the Daily Prophet, she read the Quibbler. It was far more interesting to read, but the interviews were still as dull as any other newspaper.

Liam sat uncomfortably at his desk, watching the small quarrel go on. He raised an eyebrow at Erin, before rolling his eyes. "Erm- Excuse me..." He said, poking her arm slightly before scrunching up his nose. When she continued to glare daggers and wistful eyes toward Thom and Zachary in that order, he finally sighed and stood up off his chair.
When he got the attention, however, he shied away and rubbed the back of his neck. "We have - erm- projects to attend to." He looked over at Helia and Lisa who were progressing so well and seemed to find his anger once more. "So can you guys stop your lousy bickering..."
