It was midnight, and silence reigned over the castle as Aly stood at the top of the steps leading down to the dungeon, she peered down into the darkness, and pulled her cloak around her tighter as a draft chilled her to the bone. She knew where she was supposed to be, in bed asleep. But she wanted to explore the dungeons, and had not gotten a chance to do it earlier that day. Besides, she was never one to obey curfew. She just hoped her sister didn't chicken out, she had told her sister to meet her here, but Rakki had yet to come...

Rakki grumbled as she walked down the hall leading to the dungeon. Who the hell in their right mind would forfeit sleep for an adventure? Apparently that sister of her's who was more trouble than she was worth. As she got closer, she could make out the figure of a person who could only be her sister. Grunting, she stopped a few feet away from the older girl and glared at her. "Tell me again why you need me?"

Aly rolled her eyes at her little sister, "Oh come on! How could you not wanna explore the dungeons? Now stop being such a scaredy-cat and come on!" Then she whispred in a soft voice, "Besides, I miss doing things with my little sis..." "Now come on, it'll be fun!" - "Long as we don't get caught of course..." she added as an afterthought...

"For starters: It's late. I should be in bed, sleeping the night away, but no, I'm here." Rakki eyes narrowed. "And you know as well as anyone else I'm not the most plesent of people to be around when I'm tired. Now, I don't know about you, but prancing around in a dungeon is not my idea of fun." Half of Rakki wished that a professor--hell, even a ghost--would catch them to end this little 'adventure' but the other half wasn't exactly wanting to get in trouble for being up after curfew. She didn't think the Slytherin house would be too happy if she and her sister got house points taken away.

Aly scoffed at her sister. "You're just afraid to get house points taken away! If you would hurry up and move so we get down there, that won't happen!" Aly and Rakki were alot alike, but in the case of adventures, they were total opposites. Rakki was content to sit back and read a book, Aly however, prefered to dive right into adventure, and unfortunately usually trouble as well, but in her opinion, the punishment was almost always worth it... How wrong she was this night... if she had known how dangerous tonight would turn out, she never would've asked her sister to come...

((Dun dun duuuuuun!))
Rakki rolled her eyes. "We're beating Hufflepuff by ten points. I don't fancy getting killed by a bunch of students because YOU were too adventurous to care." She looked down the steps which led to a seemingly black whole and shook her head. It wasn't the dark she was afraid of, rather the unknown that resided in the dark that spooked her. Plus, there was something ominous about the dungeon that made her want to turn tails and run.

Amadeus was sleepless. No matter what he did--he counted griffins, he listened to music, hell, he even tried monologue--he just couldn't sleep. He was wandering aimlessly through the halls near the common room--in case something happened and he needed to quickly retreat back to the room--when he spotted the spineless girl from the lake heading off somewhere. His curiosity getting the better of him, he silently followed the girl in the shadows. He raised an eyebrow when she met up with someone--apparently her sister--and exchanged a few words. Amadeus grinned as he silently stalked up to the younger one and leaned over her shoulder, whispering hollowly into her ear: "What are you doing up this late, ragazza piccola?"

Rakki could have sworn her heart stopped beating when he whispered into her ear. Lurching forward, she turned around after she felt a comfortable distance between the two was established. With her hand over her heart and her body tense, she glared at him. "Why are YOU out this late?" She growled.

"Oh? Not as spineless as we seem, are we?" Amadeus chuckled at her grumbled retort of 'bite me'. "I'd rather not, ragazza piccola, I might catch something from you." Waving the matter off, he looked down at the small with his cold blue-grey eyes. "In any case, I do believe I asked you first."

Rakki grumbled to herself and took another step back. "None of your business." Ever since the encounter at the lake, she'd been wary of the older Slytherin. Often she would duck back into her room when she saw him in the common room or hide behind a flock of students when she saw him walking down the hall. She just didn't like him.

Amadeus smirked at her. He had to admit, she was a lot more plesent to be around when she wasn't cowering in the corner. Crossing his arms, he looked cooly down at her.

Aly looked from the newcomer to her sister in confusion, it seems like they had met before, and it seemed like Rakki wasn't too fond of him. "Rakks? are you coming are not?" Then she turned to the boy, "And who are you?" she asked.

Rakki grumbled something and followed after her sister. In all honesty, she'd rather be back in her bed, fast asleep, but no. She was here, going into the dungeons which she did NOT want to explore.

Aly smiled as her sister followed her down the stone steps, "Don't worry, it'll be fun!" she assured the younger girl.

"I don't see why we don't do this when the sun's up." Rakki growled. "Adventure or not if it's night."
