[Kitchens] Looking for Hot chocolate

Jac looked round the corner, checking for prefects, then rounded it. She waved to Miranda. "Coast is clear!" she whispered. She was being stupid, she knew that, but she was having fun so didn't really care much. "We're nearly there," she said smiling wickedly. "Nearly got hot chocolate!" she jumped up and down excitedly, clapping her hands.

Miranda had her hood up and was creping slowly behind Jac. This was the most fun she had ever had in Hogwarts. When Jac singled the road was clear Miranda picked up the pace and broke into a run, going straight past the jumping figure of Jac. However when she reached a turning point in the corridor she stood still and blinked.
“Erm… Which way? “
Miranda turned around to try and look for Jac.

'Turn around, take a left, a right up the stairs and straight on. I think you'll find your common room there.' Thom said churlishly as he stepped from the shadows of the opposing corridor. Thom stood stiffly before them, his hands placed behind his back smartly, his chin raised so that he was staring down his nose at the two rebellious Gryffindors.

His face was a mask of strict coldness for a moment, but it soon broke into a smirk, then a giddy laugh. 'I'm rubbish at this - can't keep a straight face.' he shook his head in embarrassment, turning away to grin even more.

Miranda fell backwards in shook and let out a small scream. As she pulled down her hood she looked up and started at the Hufflepuff. After a few seconds of pure fear she realised she had met this person before.
“Your that boy.” She stood up and brushed herself down. “Girty’s friend who I met in Hogsmead.” Miranda was rather pleased she was able to work things out in her head. “You’re the one that...oh.” She stopped suddenly and looked around nervously.
“May I be allowed past?”

Jac jumped when a hufflepuff came from the shadows, but more because Miranda squealed. She put a hand on Miranda's shoulder and her other hand on her chest and breathed. "Miranda!" she said, exasperated, "are you trying to give me a heart attack?!" Her hear had flashed shocking neon blue with fright.

She stood up straight and shook her fright away, and her her turned blue black (which was more blue then black at this point). She smiled at the huffie. "Well," she smirked, "good evening to you to!" Miranda butted in, she was glad for it but was surprised at her forcefulness. "You're always welcome to join us, if you'd like. We're in search of the Hot Chocolate King."

She clapped her fist to her heart and clicked her heals together. "We have our orders soldier," she said in a deep voice. "Find the king and ask for hot yummy goodness!" She giggled at her own silliness and grinned at Miranda.

Miranda stood still feeling rather confused for a moment.
The hot chocolate king? I did not know there was anyone under that name at the castle.
Then it dawned on her. Her face went from confusion to one full of laughter in seconds. She laughed with Jac and jumped into the air and landing with a salute.
“Are ETA was 20:17 but with this delay then mission is in jeopardy.” Miranda then turned to look at Thom. “The problem must be redeemed.”

Miranda pulled her wand out of her robes and pointed it at Thom while trying to keep a straight face. However after only a few seconds a smile crept across her face and she lowered her wand.
“Can we go past please?” she giggled

Jac laughed at Miranda. Oh thank Merlin! she thought, [/i]she finally get's it![/i] She straightened up and looked at Thom. "You should see your face," she told him, smirking slightly. Then turning to Miranda, smiling, "now there's no need to waste good manners on the huffie! He's too stubborn to be courteous and allow us to continue our mission."

She looked up and down the corridor for any other interruptions. Seeing none, she winked at Miranda and grinned, "we need to proceed, soldier!" flinging a hand to her forehead in a mock salute. "Let's go!" she pushed passed the hufflepuff on her tippy toes and creeped along the corridor.

Miranda stood up straight and watched Jac walk away. She looked over at Thom with a smug smile then it dawned on her that she should be following Jac.
With a sudden fluster Miranda jumped into the air and ran after Jac down the corridor.
"Jac wait up" she tried to shout quietly.

With folded arms Thom watched the two Gryffindor girls sneak off once more into the darkness. He himself had been on duty for almost two hours - without a sit down or any sort of drink. He had unfortunately run out of firewhiskey a day ago and had been unable to find the time to travel down into Hogsmede to replenish his supplies.

Thom was technically no longer a student, and he was free to leave the grounds whenever he wished - but he had been relentlessly trying to track down Novella who he had been seeing less and less of lately.

He was becoming painfully lonely...

Pushing the thoughts from his mind, Thom picked up pace behind the two girls. 'Mind if I join you? If another prefect or teacher find you, I can at least get you out of trouble.' he offered.

Jac stopped mid-sneak, half hunched over and arms extended in front of her. She realized how silly she looked she she straightened up and faced the hufflepuff. She cocked her head to the right, her hair turning blood red, and she smiled. "You have also felt the call of the Hot Chocolate King as well, haven't you," she said in an eerie, languid, deep voice.

Then she burst into laughter, doubling over backwards and holding her stomach. She double forwards and waved her hand at the stern looking prefect. "No, no, no," she said through, hysterical giggles, "I'm just kidding!" She looked at Miranda and saw the looked on her face. Jac straightened up and cleared her throat.

"Um," she said sheepishly, "we kind of got off on the wrong foot." She walked right up to the hufflepuff and stuck out her hand. "Biggerstall," she pronounced, "Jac Biggerstall, pleasure!"
