Russell was in the history section of the big school library. He had already read Hogwarts, A History and A History of Magic and none of them discussed the topic he had been so keen on researching.
He pulled another book from the shelf and began to flip through the pages, looking for something very specific. He looked around for someone to ask, and then realised he was more likely to forget his mission if someone offered to help him. So he turned back to the book in front of him and continued to look for the name.
"Harry Potter!" she whispered, "where are you?" Rus had woken up with a sudden urge to try find out what really happened to the most famous boy in all of history. He flicked through more pages and more.

"Dead, last time I checked." Alec said timidly, leaning against the bookshelf and flipping through a copy of Alfonzen's Eighteenth Century Gothic Literature. "Of course," Alec continued solemnly, "Who isn't dead anymore." He let out a long sigh, before turning to the boy.
"Though, I suspect you'll have more luck in the restricted section. Trust me, I know my way around this library."

Russell coolly looked at the boy who had spoken. Dead, he thought. "Obviously he's dead," he said, as though he should have known, "it has been about a hundred years. But still ..." he said, actually thinking aloud," no one knows exactly how he got to be that way."
He placed the book back into the shelf and took out another one. The restricted section? he wondered with a shudder, normal books were enough but ones that try to eat your arm, no thank you! That's not for me! Rus looked through the book, then slowly looked up at his fellow ravenclaw, "but someone has to know."

Erin walked out from behind a nearby shelf and looked at the two Ravenclaws in amusement.
"Why don't you just ask the headmistress?" she asked, bending down and placing a crimson book back on the bottom shelf. "If anyone knew it'd have to be her, or another professor at least."
Erin stood up and wiped her hands on her faded jeans. "It's only a suggestion, you don't have to listen to me at all."

Russell watched the slytherin in amusement. When she looked at him, he smiled and crossed his arms. He tilted his head and asked, "ask a teacher, now there's a plan. But can you just imagine it: "Hi Ma'am, how you doing? I was just wondering what possessed Harry Potter to do the things he did?" Yeah, I don't really see that working that well!"
Rus put the book down and looked at the pretty slytherin girl. He straightened his head and grinned, "so what do you know about it then?"

Erin shrugged. "That's the thing, I'm just as clueless as you are." She giggled and ran a hand through her hair.
"Tho I have heard my family talk about it a few times but of course eavesdropping only gets you so far." Erin shrugged again. "I don't know, but asking a professor did seem like a good idea at first until you put it that way."
Erin ran a hand along the books as she walked closer to the ravenclaw. "I'm Erin," she said with a smile.

Russell smiled back and bowed, low. "Russell, at your service," he said as he stood up. He turned back to the book shelf and pulled out a small, thin book. The cover was so scratched that he couldn't see the title so he opened it and began to read. He nodded at Alec, "you got anything helpful mate?" He eyed the other ravenclaw.

Erin's finger stopped on a crimson book that caught her eye, the gold lettering of the title barely readable. She pulled it out and leaned against the shelf. Carefully she paged through the book, skimming each paragraph. The contents of the book were magnificant in her eyes, painting a small smile on Erin's face.
She looked at the two Ravenclaws for a moment wondering what exactly they were looking for about Harry, then returned to the mysterious book. Erin sighed as she turned each page.

Russell soon grew bored, though his curiosity still plagued him, so he turned his attention to Erin. She seemed enchanted by the book in her hands. Rus cocked his head and smiled. He walked behind her, saying, "what you got there?" and spun around, grabbing the book out of her arms, and carried on walking. "Um, yes, of course!" he said sarcastically, pretending to read it.

Erin made a grab for the book before he turned around and missed. "Hey," she said, slightly pouting, "I was reading that!" she said laughing.
She followed him, continuesly looking over his shoulder at the book. Occasionally she'd try to grab it, but Russell's arms were longer than her reach. She stopped and crossed her arms. "hmph... seems I'm gonna have to try something else." she mumbled.
Erin raised an eyebrow at Russell and a smirk spread across her face. "So... Russ... you seem pretty intelligent, what do you think happened to dear old Potter?" Erin grabbed his arm, and pulled him back towards her. She walked around so she could face him. "I mean, why are you so... interested in what happened to him?" she asked.

Russell was surprised but her reaction, not at all as thrilling as he had hoped. "Well," he said knowingly, putting the book behind his back and looking Erin straight on, "I think that dearest Lord Volde-poo and Harry-warry killed each other and everyone was sad for about five minutes then went on with their boring lives."
He started to walk around the slytherin girl and stopped behind her putting his face right next to hers so that when he spoke it was right into her ear. "But what I don't quite understand is why the Ministry have gone through such lengths to cover the events of Mr Potters life up. Have you ever come across a book on Harry Potter? I didn't think so.-" he started circling again, "-that's because the Ministry destroyed all evidence of him. If he truly was the greatest wizard of his time don't you think there would be a whole section devoted to him, right here in this very library?" He became very flashy towards the end of his speech, spreading his arms wide to show the sheer size of the enormous library.

Having fallen asleep on a stack of Defense Against the Dark Arts books, Helia had only managed to catch bits and pieces of the conversation between students in aisles away from her, but as the voices drew closer, and her mind became less fogged by sleep she couldn't help but begin chuckling and shaking her head. 'I'm surprised anyone in this school other than me is interested...' she thought, catching onto the fact that whoever the people were, were discussing the disappearance she'd studied so fervently last year.
"...what do you think happened to dear old Potter?" she heard an unfamiliar female ask in a ridiculously under-toned voice. "I think that dearest Lord Volde-poo and Harry-warry killed each other and everyone was sad for about five minutes then went on with their boring lives," was the reply. She couldn't help herself. She had to figure out who these people were. She stood up, leaving her books and everything where they were, then looked down a couple aisles before finding... "Russell?!" she burst out laughing. "It figures you would have such a sentimental... check that, just plain mental, theory on the subject," she crossed her arms and shook her head in disbelief.

Russell stood taller as he heard a familiar voice call his name. Halo, he thought, a wicked smile crawling onto his face. Slowly he turned to face her, and indeed it was her. "Well," he said slowly, "mental I may be but you've got to admit I'm right. No trace of the greatest wizard of all time, fishier then wet fish with a side of fish."
Suddenly, the penny dropped, his smile grew. "What business is it of your's Halo?" he asked, almost knowing the answer. "You also want to know, don't you? You're just as intrigued as I am, just as mystified as I am, aren't you?" As he spoke he slowly walked towards Halo, ending up very close to her.

'What is it with guys? Do they think that putting their faces inches away from a girls head was somehow attractive?' she rolled her eyes, then smirked and leaned even closer to Russell, putting her lips right next to his ear and whispering, "The only mystery in this library, is why someone as loony as you is allowed in," she leaned back to where she had been before and batted her eyelashes innocently. "Besides, I know all I need and want to about the boy who lives... lived," she quickly corrected her near error. "I did lots of research about him last year for History of Magic. There's quite a good reason for there being no trace of him and the Ministry is a very minute part of that. You've just got to know your sources to find things like that," she shrugged and began walking back towards the table where all of her study equipment was laid out.

Russell blinked. A girl after my own heart, he thought putting his fist to his heart and smiling smugly. He shook himself and followed Helia to her table. He didn't sit but stood to attention, hands behind his back, and looked at the raven. "You know all you need to and want to?" he asked, "and the Ministry has little to do with it?"
Rus took a shocked stumble back and slapped a hand to his forehead, "wow!" he exclaimed, "I can't believe Marcus was right, aliens are involved in one of the biggest cover-ups of the past century!" Marcus loved the thought of aliens so if anything happened it was the aliens. Rus was obviously joking but was oddly stern. "It can't be!" he said, leaning on Helia's table. "Tell me it isn't so!"
