Leigh walked into the library, not caring if the librarian was around or not. Simply walking into the closed off section of the library, Leigh found a book he needed to help fortify his mind against a trained Legilimens. He sat and read through it, trying to garner as much information as he could, feeling that with an Occulumency Professor around, his mind may be of need to be more protected.

Thom had been strolling through the library, discreetly tearing individual pages from various books that he wanted. He picked up a heavy red volume, and was just about to peel the yellowing page from its spine when he saw his Head of House reading in deep concentration at a nearby table. He quickly shoved the book on the shelf, looking guilty, and began to watch the man through a parting in the books on the shelves.

"Trying to approach one who is on guard is never a good thing, especially when one is an Animagus." Leigh said, raising his eyes to search the book shelves around him. He sat still, never letting his guard down, for his own personal fears to come back and haunt him.

Thom swallowed dryly and sheepishly emerged from the shadows. 'Alright, professor? You look a bit... disgruntled.'
Thom realised some of his stolen pages were protruding from his coat pocket, and he quickly shoved them back deep into his pocket, not taking his eyes off Professor Addis. Thom never usually saw teachers in the library. He had always assumed they had their own private stash of books in the staffroom.

"You try not being disgruntled when your mind was invaded by a trained Legilimens." Leigh said, looking back to the book. "I don't know if it was deliberate, or accidental, I need to strengthen my mind..." He trailed off as he realised he was going about the whole ordeal the wrong way.

Thom frowned a little in worry, and gave a humourless, lope sided smile. From what Professor Addis was saying, he had no doubt he meant Professor Walton, an icy man he had had his first lesson with earlier that day. 'He invaded our minds too.' he said, forgetting that he had not said any of his previous thoughts out loud.

Leigh looked Thom in the eye. "He's your Professor, thats how they teach you strengthen yourselves..." Leigh said, flipping a page and finding out further information about Occulumency. "I have to find someone other than Walton to help me."

Thom glared at Addis gloomily. His head of house had never been that warm or friendly to any of the students, even to his own house, and Thom immediately felt embarrassed and awkward. He stood silently for a few moments, looking about him sheepishly. He began to whistle.

Leigh snapped the book shut and looked at Thom. "If you're done whistling, please return to the Great Hall for dinner, or return to the Common Room, if you're done ripping pages from random books that is." Leigh smiled smugly before placing the book he had on a random shelf, not caring where it went. "As I said, it's hard to sneak up on someone who is an Animagus, plus also on guard..."

Thom looked at him bitterly, biting the inside of his cheek as he tried to scrunch the papers in his pocket a little more without being heard. 'Professor Walton managed it pretty well,' said Thom defensively, wondering if he was pushing the right buttons. He turned on his heels and walked off down one of the isles towards the exit, starving and annoyed.

Leigh glared at his own student walking awya from him, his hand flinching towards his wand. He kept himself barely under control as he turned away and headed out of the door, returning to his office.
