Lisa chewed her lip thoughtfully as she scanned a portrait of a few wizards playing chess. She had never attempted to chat with one of them before, but as it was late at night and as she was stuck in the most dull part of the castle for prefect duties, she was feeling rather bored.
"You've been on the fourth floor corridor quite some time, haven't you?" She said suddenly, watching two pairs of eyes land on her curiously.
"Centuries!" One of them exclaimed, nodding solemnly.
Lisa felt a small smile stretch over her lips. "You wouldn't happen to know if there's anything interesting on this floor, something other than those repetitive stone walls?"
An aging wizard looked at his partner for a brief moment, before grinning impishly. Before Lisa could say another word, the portrait swung open and she found herself staring into a dark tunnel that looked none-too-welcoming.
Just as she was contemplating whether to take a look inside, the sound of sharp footsteps reached her ears.

Zerrubabel walked down yet another hallway. If there was one word to describe the layout of this castle, it would be 'elusive'. He had been walking around for maybe 30 minutes trying to find someone to help him out. He looked up ahead, seeing a girl standing next to what appeared to be a hole in the wall.
"Thank goodness someone's here!" said Zerrubabel Jones to the girl. "I've been looking around all over the place after i got sorted. They told me to go find a Gryffindor prefect so i could get into the common room, but they never told me where to look!"
"I'm sorry, i forgot to introduce myself, Zerrubabel Jones. I just transferred from Durmstrang." said Zerrubabel as he extended his hand toward her. He didn't expect many cordial greetings being from Durmstrang and all, but he hoped he was wrong. Only time will tell, he thought.

While he was waiting for her response, he realized he had a terrible urge to run off to the loo. Whispering his apologies to the girl, he turned and jogged off down the hall. He shouted out "see you later!" as he turned a corner a few meters away.
