As Lidia sat in the common room, she awaited her childhood buddy L.C. She knew L.C came her because she had seen her earlier that day.

"Bonjour" L.C said as she walked into the common room, noticing her friend. "How have you been?" she asked before sitting down in a comfortable chair.

"Ciao"Lidia said greeting her friend. "Les choses sont bonnes comment de vous ?" Lidia asked hoping her friend still spoke some french.

"I'm fine" L.C said smiling back at her friend. She was glad Lidia was okay. "What brings you to Hogwarts?"

Lidia was some what suprised at the fact that L.C had not heard what had happened to her family. "Um... well, they um..." Lidia could not find the words to tell her that her family had been killed. She instead, just gave L.C a sad look.

L.C looked at her friend and noticed the sad look. Then she remembered an owl she had recieved. It said some old friends had died. "They... no, they didn't" L.C said confused and not wanting to believe what she was hearing.

"Yeah, it happened about a month ago." Lidia said choking on the words as they came out. It was something that was harder to admit to herself than it was to anyone else.
