Erin paced the common room with her spell book, twirling her quill in her fingers. She was trying to get her mind off Zachary with some homework but nothing was working. She sighed and tossed her book across the room.
Erin sat on the couch and stared into the fire with an uncertain look on her face. "I don't know what to do Karma," She said looking over at the owl perched comfortably on the arm chair, "I can't get him out of my mind, and frankly, its driving me crazy."
She laid down on the couch and stared up at the ceiling. She listened to the sounds around her, the crackle of the fire and the gentle hoots from Karma. She could hear the footsteps of other students in the corridors and she knew somewhere in the school was Zachary. Erin sat up again and stared at the ground wondering what to do next.

Jerred was leaning against the doorframe when he heard Erin talking to herself. With a smile he knew whom she was talking about. With a laugh Jerred walked into the Common Room and sat down on an armchair, not the one with the owl on it.
'So, Zachary still doesn't have a clue, does he?' Jerred said, not caring if Erin was offended. 'Pity he fails to see what everyone else can.'

Erin sighed and stood up. "You're preaching to the choir Jerred." She looked at him with curiousity. "Are all guys this.... ignorant, I think is the word?" She gave a small giggle and shook her head. "I don't know. I'm invisible to everyone right now." Erin sighed.

'Guys are always ignorant, unless they're up themselves to the point where... they believe they are god's gift to women.' Jerred said, shrugging. 'And if you were invisible, why can I see you now?' With a laugh, Jerred shook his head.
'Zachary has to have some idea, at least, I mean it doesn't take a fool to notice a pretty face.' Jerred continued, smiling as he did.

Erin sighed. "Yeah, you're probably right." She stood up and walked to the chair her beloved owl was sitting on. She gently stroked her and looked over at Jerred and smiled. "Maybe I should just go up to him and tell him how I feel..." she looked away, "Then again, he might think me too soft to be a slytherin if I tell him." Erin sighed and laughed. "What the hell am I worrying about? I should just do it."

'So what if a Slytherin is too soft! We are, after all, human and not every Slytherin can be cold, manipulative and alone.' Jerred replied stubbornly. 'Do it, if he doesn't repsond the way you want him to, then keep trying.'

Erin laughed. "You're pretty cool, for a half-blood," Erin winked at him so he would know she was just playing. She never judged anyone by blood, only personality. "I dunno if I should, besides, I think he has a thing for L.C." She laughed and sat down on the chair. Karma screeched and pecked at Erin. "Ow! Sorry! GEEZE!" she looked at Jerred. "Someone's crabby..." she muttered.

'A thing for L.C?' Jerred pondered, trying to search in his memories for any signs of this. 'Well, if you want to, I'll help out in any way you need.'

Erin Shrugged. "Forget it. School work should be more important to me instead of guys anyways." Erin looked away feeling defeated by fear. She wasn't the kind of person that was scared easily but something bout telling other people her feelings just dominated her. She looked at Jerred and gave a weak smile. "My brother's coming to visit me soon, he sent me an owl earlier this week." She said changing the subject. "I can't wait." she said looking down.

'Why does everyone change the subject when they begin to think that they can't get what they want?' Jerred said, sighing as he leapt over the cough and sat down. 'For Merlin's sake, just go for it! Or do I have to do everything myself to see a friend happy!?'

Erin looked at Jerred and laughed. "Don't worry about it Boneman, I'll take care of it when the time is right. ok?" she said pushing him slightly. "But seriously... my brother's coming to visit...." Erin said with a smile. "He's the one that can usually talk me into getting what I want." Erin laughed.

'Well, it's good to know your brothers coming.' Jerred said reluctantly, then hearing her final words he smiled. 'At least you'll go after Zachary again without any trouble.' With a smile he leant back and cracked his back, each of his bones folding back in place.
'By the way, please don't call me by my last name, Kennedi, it does get annoying.' Jerred continued, with a dark grin on his face as he looked back at Erin.

Brian had entered the common room and heard a familier voice, and one that was new. It seemed to be a girl, but these past few months he couldn't trust himself. His hair was longer and was a complete black, without hint of coloring.
"Well Boneman, long time no see." he said with his peircing eyes fixed on the girl.

Erin looked at the stranger in facination. She studied the boy but couldn't think of what to make of him yet. She sighed and leaned back in the chair, her eyes still connecting with his.

'Y'know Fuzzferbrains, it's not polite to stair at a girl like a lost puppy, trust me don't work, especially when this girl has a thing for another guy.' Jerred said, picking up a cushion and throwing it Brian's face. 'Anyways, Erin meet Fuzzferbrains, Fuzzferbrains meet Erin. NOw that we all know each other, sit down, have a chat and laugh merrily at the pathetic chances of you scoring with her Fuzzy.'
