Tori entered the ravenclaw common room, unsure of what she would find. The flames of the brightly burning fire acted as a welcoming light to her, drawing her closer to her new "family" so to speak. Tired from the long journey to Hogwarts, Tori laid down on the large couch. Barely taking up the couch, Tori stared up at the ceiling watching the shadows with much glee.
"At least the fire's nice," she said to herself, laughing.

"Brr..." muttered Helia as she raced into the common room. Quidditch practice had just finished and she was quite glad to enter a pre-warmed common room. She shook off her ice-fringed cloak and placed it on a nearby coat rack, then flung her boots off into one corner. She was just about to race upstairs to finish up some last minute homework when she thought, 'No. I need a break,' she was surprised to hear these thoughts spinning in her head, but at the same time she was quite relieved. She walked over by the fireplace and sat down in her favorite cobalt blue armchair when she noticed another figure nearby. "Oh, hi!" she said with a bright smile, "I'm Halo... are you new, or am I blind?" she asked, knowing full well she could have missed a Ravenclaw with all her running around and about.

Tori sat up smiling, "Hi, Halo. Yes I am new, very new actually, so you can rule out being blind," she said laughing. "My name's Victoria Maylie, but you can call me Tori," Victoria said with a friendly smile.
Tori scooted the the edge of the couch. "I was just admiring how friendly the fire was," she said randomly.

She smiled, glad not to be quite as ditzy as she thought she was, "Nice to meet you Tori." She, too, looked towards the fireplace. "It's my favorite part of the entire common room," she said in reply, "Especially after a cold quidditch practice," she shuddered again. 'That's the last time I ever schedule a practice for six a.m.'
She smield at Tori. She seemed like a very sweet girl. "You don't happen to play quidditch, do you? We're still short a beater," so close to having a full roster, but still come people were afraid of getting hurt by the bludgers... or something like that. Luckily she didn't know what went on in other peoples minds. That would be quite a scary thing around this school.

Tori frowned and shook her head. "Sorry, I've never played a game of Quidditch in my life. I'm more of a dancer slash gymnist. "I'd love to learn tho," she said smiling. "I heard its a pretty rough game."

" 'Tis only rough if you don't get the proper training." Bree had walked into the common room to suss things out when she had found two girls talking about her favourite topic. She walked towards the couches where the girls were and smiled broadly at both of the girls in turn.
She smiled broadly at the head girl. "Good practice, Miss Ollivander," she smiled, her eyes sparkling, "you have a very committed team. Congratulations!" She nodded her head in approval then turned to the other girl. "Miss Maylie?" she asked, "you must be new!" She clapped her hands together and, looking back and forth between the two, she said, "looks like we need pick-me-up!" She took out her wand and waved it in graceful whooshes. Almost instantly, a small highly decorated table appeared with three mugs, a tea pot, and a pot of sugar. "Tea? Anyone?" she asked as though she always had, and headed for the table to pour herself some tea.
