Brianna walked onto the pitched straight into a fresh morning breeze. The grass beneath her feet was still wet from the previous nights dew and it sprinkled her boots with tiny droplets of water, making the colour darker around her soles. She had her quidditch attire, proudly supplied by her very own supplies shop. Her Bluebottle was strapped to her back with another nifty toy from her shop.
She stood in the middle of the pitch and unbuckled her strap, setting her broom on the ground. She looked up at the high pillars that made the stands and imagine the roar of the crowds, flags waving, people screaming, bludgers whooshing past her ear. And then, as she heard students approaching her attention turned away from quidditch and to her lesson.

Girty walked further into the quittich pitch and looked around seeing no one else had turned up. As she walked onto the grass the dew soaked into her shoes as the coldness hit her socks. A shudder ran down Girty’s spin as she walked closer to the Professor with a broad smile on her face and her broom under her arm.
“Morning Professor. How are you today?”
Girty stood opposite and looked around in the air for any Bludgers flying a bit too close.

Brianna smiled at the Hufflepuff she had met by the fire. "Morning yourself," she greeted cheerfully. She stood up, flexing her long legs. "I'm good, thank you, and yourself?" She stretched her sides, reaching over her head. "Come on," she insisted, "stretch with me."

Girty looked at the Professor feeling a bit self conscious when she asked for her to join in stretching. Slowly Girty walked closer and the Professor continued to stretch. As Girty stood opposite her a puzzled look filled her face.
Girty placed her broom gently on the ground and looked around over her shoulder to see if anyone was around. Then with a small shrug and a quick smile Girty looked back at the Professor and tried to copy the stretches in which she was doing. As Girty reached down towards her toes she could feel her body tensing up and before she knew it she had fallen over head first onto the grass.
With a small groan Girty sat back up again and ran her hands over the wet grass. “I think I maybe your only student” Girty said with a small chuckle as she looked back towards the castle noticing that no one else was around.

Bree smiled at Girty as she tried to stretch and giggled to herself as she fell over. She snapped up and put a hand to her mouth to stifle a giggle. Girty sat and Bree joined her on the grass. She stretched out her legs and reached for her toes as Girty spoke. For the first time since Girty had arrived, she realised it was just the two of them.
"Hmm," she said thoughtfully, "that's an astute observation, Ms Hubbles, well spotted-" she reached for her other toes "-and I think it's very sensible to not come the first lesson, give the teacher a fright on her first day. It was what I used to do when I was here." She reached over her head for her toes, like a ballerina, and stretched some more.
"Well," Bree added, smiling gleefully, "it is an important thing to stretch, Girty, very important. It gives you more energy and in turn gives your broom more too; makes you more agile." She jumped to her feet and clapped her hand together, "so let's get started! Copy me, we'll start simply, so don't fret." Bree spread her feet slightly apart and held her arm to her chest with her hand, then held for eight counts and alternated her arm position.

As the Professor talked Girty listened closely and nodded her head as she talked. As soon as Bree stood up and started to do some stretching Girty rolled her eyes and pulled herself to her feet. With a sigh of dissatisfaction Girty started to copy the professor. She soon found herself getting into it, and started jumping around the Quidditch pitch doing star jumps and running backwards.
As soon as she had done a full lap of the pitch she fell on the floor by the professor trying to catch her breath. “Wow I need to get fit.” She let out a nervous and very breathless laugh as she looked up at the sky.

Brianna carried on stretching as Girty went wild. She was smiling to herself, stretching a little more, and she started humming the school song. When Girty flopped down in front of her, Bree stopped stretching and smiled. "Well," the professor said cheerfully, "if you would like, I could help you get fit, after school of course."

Girty looked up at the Professor still gasping for breath. Slowly she nodded her head and took in a huge breath trying to calm herself down. "That would be nice thanks. I think I need more help with that then my flying"
She tried to laugh but ended up in a coughing. With a heavy sigh Girty stood up and picked up her broom and started to lean on it for support.

Brianna smiled and nodded. "Then it's a deal," she said with finality, "okay, first things first: sit down, cross your legs resting your hands on your knees and just breath. I suppose you could close your eyes too, if you wanted to, but you don't have to. You body is now deprived of oxygen and it's stressing because of it so you need to relax. As you get fitter your body will become more efficient at extracting oxygen from your breath, very technical and all but it helps a great deal. Also helps with duels, with stamina, if you want to become an Auror one day."

Girty sat still nodding doing as the Professor commanded. She sat down and started to take deep breaths and slowly she managed to clam herself down. A smile started to creep onto her face. “It is strange really. A lot of my lesson require breathing.”
She looked up at the Professor and smiled before weakly standing back up on to her feet. “And as for becoming an Auror….that would be a turn up for the books.” Girty let out a huge breath and stood up straight.

Bree stood up straight and stretched up high as though she had just woken up. She relaxed and breathed slowly. She smiled at Girty and nodded. "You're getting to an age where you need to start thinking about your less immediate future." She smiled up at the castle, and wished that more students would come. She didn't want to teach one student, simply because she was the only one there

Grace ran onto the pitch and towards two figures. She was soo late! She ran toword them as fast as she could, then slid to a hault. She dropped her broom onto the grass and leaned on her knees, panting, "I - I'm sorry - I'm so - late!" She looked up and saw Girty was already there. She straightened up and breathed in deeply. She let it out and added, "hey Girt!"
