Emery was not seated at his desk, like the start of his previous lesson, but already standing in the middle of the circle of desks arranged around the classroom. His regular blackboard stood beside him, sketching down a brief instruction for the class to take their seats quietly, and be as silent as they possibly could.
The high windows gave off no light, that day, as the gloomy weather was blocked off by thick, dusty, shutters. Occlumency required the utmost amount of concentration, and allowing ones-self to be preoccupied with the soft streams of sunlight and shadows flickering past the windows were distraction enough to even the most attentive mind.
Distractions in the face of Occlumency would come at a later date, but as of now, his class consisted of beginners... From what he was aware of, at least.
The chalk paused on the blackboard, before writing down an ordered list of who would go through the Legilimens spell in a strange cursive font. Emery regarded it for a moment, before turning back to the door, hoping his own nerves were not visible.
For, when the instructor is obviously distressed, the student will no doubt carry the same apprehensions.

Helia had been quite glad that morning to see that Occlumency was on her timetable today. Ever since the last class she'd wanted to learn as much about it as possible. Especially with certain... other studies she was doing. She knew it was kind of dumb to be starting on that research again withotu the knowledge of Occlumency and Legilimency, but she couldn't help herself. Now that it was back in her mind it was at the very fore front of it and it was all she could do to focus on the wand shop as she entered the classroom, hoping that the Professor would not catch wind of her situation.
She walked steadily into the classrooom and nodded a friendly "Hello" to the Professor (as they were supposed to be quiet) before sitting down at one of the desks in the circular formation around him. She wasn't paying much attention to the Professor's behavior as she was far too preoccupied with her own thoughts and trying to keep them her own. She began thinking back through the past week's work, 'Finished Bog's new wand... nearly finished some new casts, I really should finish those, maybe I can get some work done on them after class... Did I remember to put them in my bag?... yes, yes I did along with...' well that wasn't working. She had a back up plan though. She reached into her book bag and pulled out a small notebook, ink well and quill. She very slowly wrote her name, the date and the title of the class across the top of the page and hoped another student would come in soon.

Jac was most excited for this lesson. She had been most intrigued by the professor and his ramblings previous lesson. She, before walking into the class, straightened herself and cleared her mind as best she could. She cleared her throat and walked in. Helia was already there, Jac smiled at her and sat a few desks away from her. Setting her rucksack onto the floor and looked at the professor.
The lesson hadn't started yet and the piece of chalk was already hard at work writing instructions. She was just about to greet the professor when she read the board. ... be as quiet as possible... something she could do rather well, she was happy to say.

Girty stumbled down the corridor feeling rotten. She was not in the mood for this lesson and she knew it was not the right attitude or mind set to have. Before pushing open the door Girty took a deep breath and at least try to push out the memories of what had happened in recent days.
As she stepped into the classroom and looked around the room. seeing only a few people. Girty then spotted a empty desk right by the wall. Perfect she thought.
With that she moved over and fell into the chair resting her head against the wall closing her eyes waiting for the lesson to start.
