Somehow it seemed odd to think of herself as a professor at the very school she spent so many of her childhood years. Despite the calm air she wore about her one could still assume she felt uneasy at the daunting prospect; from her experiance, countless professors have graced and retreated from the castle walls with only a few weeks of teaching there before taking their leave. Decidedly she would make herself part of the lucky ones, and while she knew she should have already started introducing herself to everyone instead she found herself at Hogsmeade, stepping inside a small pub and ordering a drink to calm her nerves.
The bartender was a quaint-appearing fellow, and to make conversation as he prepared her beverage he began telling her about what he found the other day. "Why would you have a half full can in your bag?" Jasmine questioned near the end of his story, to which he shook his head and determined, "It wasn't half full." A bemused grin touched her face, "What, it was half empty?" And at her reply he smiled himself, placing her drink in front of her and remarking at how cheeky she was. Thanking him kindly and taking a small swig of butterbeer the professor stretched, taking the time to take a slow glance of her surroundings.
Upon the harsh scrape of chairs from somewhere to her right she managed to hear a lovely man proclaim, "I'm not drunk, I've just had too much to drink!" before stumbling outside. Awesome.

There were so many reasons why Vicky should be stressed out, sighing Vicky knew what would happen if she became too stressed out. The woman could sometimes become an emotional wreck and if that did happen she was known to end up at this or that pub getting drunk off her arse. Things had been good in her life for some time now so her drinking had ceased, but a whirlwind appeared one by the name of Heather and the other woman's appearance had thrown Vicky's life off course. Try as she might to forget the other woman it was hard, with her perfect figure, model good looks, not to mention the fact that she was the mother of Warren's children. So Vicky started t feel overwhelmed once more and that meant a trip to the pub.
In her quarters she dressed in a pair of pants, a sweater, and boots, then she threw on her long white cashmere coat a gift she purchased for herself one day while shopping in London. She loved this jacket especially the way it felt against her skin since truth be told she had put it on once with no shirt on just to see if it felt as soft as she imagined. It was a bit extravagant but Vicky realized that once in a blue moon treating ones self was a nice thing. Plus the jacket made her feel better when she wore it like she was someone important because she often received many looks and compliments on the jacket.
So she left the castle and headed into Hogsmeade because well it was closest and she didn't have time to go into London since she had other things to do. Stepping into a pub she knew pretty well she walked in to a raucous round of [i[Vicky[/i] from the patrons. It had been some time since she was there and it seemed as if she were missed. Laughing she walked to the bar and took a seat and it wasn't until she looked around that she realized she was sitting right next to "Hey there Jasmine what brings you here?" she asked managing a genuine smile.

She was just finishing up her butterbeer when the patrons of the pub chorused Vicky's name, and Jasmine couldn't help but manage a relieved smile at the presence of a familiar face. "Hey! Truthfully I came to calm my nerves, the prospect of teaching has me somewhat on edge." Her hands toyed idly with the handle of her glass as she ordered another beer, angling herself towards Vicky in conversation. She noticed her friend seemed a bit off, as if there were something bothering her. Debating whether to ask or not Jasmine decided to go for it anyway, figuring there could be some way to cheer her up if her suspicions were correct. "You seem out of sorts, is everything alright?" She said with genuine concern, taking a sip of her next drink and feeling almost appreciative that it was a bit stronger than the last. Nothing cured the nerves like a good beer.
"If you need cheering up I could tell you about the time I convinced my friend that bicycles were alive. Quite a gullible but lovely girl, that one." Jasmine laughed at the memory, remembering just how surprised she was that the poor lass fell for it. That was way back in the day when she was a young and mischevious Hufflepuff student, and while she has matured in great lengths since then she always maintained that cheeky side, much to her delight. There was nothing in life quite like humor, and Jasmine was determined to spread as much as she could. "Or there was the time where I was so drunk I convinced myself that the bushes across the road were people watching me. I think that same night I managed to nearly fall in a lake and seduce an inanimate object, but we'll leave those parts out." At first meeting one would be almost shocked to hear such things come from a woman of her elegant stature, but Jasmine always took a little delight in that fact.

Despite being away for a while Vicky felt right at home at the pub it was just the kind of thing she used to enjoy doing, but her enjoyment often went a bit beyond most normal people's version of enjoyment. There were a lot of stupid things she had done while under the influence of alcohol. Most often she would arrive at these places alone and end up leaving with lord knows who. Tonight though there was someone she knew around, and this was a good thing because that meant that she would have to control herself.
Vicky was so well known here that she didn't even bother telling the barman what she wanted he knew it all too well and within minutes of arriving a firewhiskey appeared before her. Smiling to the barman she issued him her thanks and he simply smiled back. Vicky looked over at Jasmine who was smiling at her "Ah you'll do just fine with the teaching don't worry about it one bit I have faith in you" she told the other woman happy to be dealing with someone else's problems for a change.
Too bad thinking of something else didn't work too well since Jasmine picked up on Vicky's mood. Not wanting to talk about the real issues Vicky simply laughed "Oh me I'm always in one mood or another don't mind me, but if you'd like to share some embarrassing stories then I'm all ears a good laugh and a smile never hurt anyone right" she teased trying to sound light and airy.
