"'Allo Bray. I'm sure you've got your team all revved up for the game. Not that it'll help. Me and Adds bring the heat." "...Game..? Prue what are you -- Oh lord, quidditch." "Uh, yeah. Don't tell -- wait, where are you going?"
Things always came back to bite you in the butt, no matter what. Forget to schedule a spot in the Quidditch pit, you were going to get mocked by a sassy little Gryffindor. It was inevitable. But not something that Bray was going to care much about since she did remind him that he had things to do other than simply survive his daily prefect rounds, and it was a great excuse to stay away from awkward situations in the common.
Well, it seemed that way until he remembered that Fay was on the Quidditch team. Of course she was. They hardly did anything without each other. 'God, that horrid woman is just everywhere! I'll have to lock her in the broom closet.' He thought, his sour mood not at all hidden as he made his way to the pit in his atypical limp. His left leg was heavily bandaged and healing, but it was something he no longer even thought about. Every one thought he was a bastard and a liar, a rumor fanned by his supposed best friend. And he simply didn't care at all.
Rubbing warmth back into his hands, he kicked open the chest of balls and pulled out the quaffle. "Shouldn't be very long now. The latest Ravenclaw there is is myself.."

Oh boy it was that time again Alexis had been thoroughly looking forward to it for weeks and weeks now. Of course she didn't want to bother the captain of the team asking him incessantly when their first practice was going to be so she just waited and waited checking the bulletin board everyday until she saw that note there, the time of the first practice of the season. Quidditch by far was one of Alexis' favorite things to do. Anyone who didn't like it was absolutely crazy.
That morning as she was heading down to the great hall she finally saw it. Practice that day her heart did little flip flops all over the place and her stomach did too. Today was the day, and eating didn't have the same appeal it did before. Her mind was on quidditch, someone asked her to pass the syrup and she never even heard them. Her mind filled with flying bludgers, golden snitches, and hoops high into the sky. The requester became annoyed reaching over Alexis to get the syrup calling her thick. All of this went unnoticed by the brunette Ravenclaw.
At the time of practice Alexis went to get her Nimbus 2010. It wasn't the newest broom on the market but it was still in pristine condition. Alexis took very good care of it, and it looked practically brand new as she took it from her brook stick case. Her parents bought that for her last birthday so she would be able to keep the broom safe when not in use. Grabbing it she walked out and over to the pitch already there was the team captain Bradyn. Smiling to him Alexis ran up, excited still and in the zone. "I can't wait to start practice. How's it going captain?"

Post by Heavenly Laurent on Apr 6, 2009 1:30:23 GMT
Little golden-haired Heavenly Laurent raced down the sloping lawns towards the Quidditch pitch. She was thrilled to have made the Ravenclaw team as a first year. She was going to be the best Seeker ever! Well, except for her cousin Ashton of course. She could never compare to him. Not that she had any desire to. Her only wish was to make him as proud of her, as she was of him.
So, Firebolt 3000 in hand she walked onto the pitch to meet her new team. There were only two people there, so she assumed she was early. "Hi there. I'm Heavenly. Heavenly Laurent." She smiled at the only other girl there. "You look familiar... would you happen to be Alexis Heart?" she asked, praying that she wouldn't embarrass herself by being wrong. Of course the only reason she knew of Alexis was hearing Ash talk about her. Apparently she had been on the team when Ash had been Captain. It was a shame he had to resign. And all because of a disagreement between friends. Quite stupid really.
Then, there was the boy. He could only be the Captain. Bradyn Reed. Heavenly fixed him with a slightly cool smile. "You must be Bradyn Reed." While Heavenly tried to make it a point to not get involved with her cousin's drama, she wanted to make sure that Bradyn would accept her for herself, and not shun her for being a Laurent before she got too friendly.

Cora stood in the mirror, looking at herself. Her hair was coming out of her ponytail, her sweats were big and baggy. Her quidditch gear was sitting on her bed, as well as the hand me down broom she had recently received. Cora was crazy to try out for the Ravenclaw quidditch team. Come to find out, Cora was actually quiet comfortable in the air, and she had performed pretty well at tryouts. However, Cora wasn't how sure she was going to perform when all those eyes would be looking at her. The game was coming closer, and Cora was getting more nervous.
Cora checked her watch and noticed she was running a tad bit late. She grabbed her gear and headed down to the pitch. When she reached it, the shy girl noticed a few of her team mates were already there, as well as their captain. She walked up to them, clutchng her broom and gear to her chest.
"Hi." she said, looking up for a moment as she reached the team. "Uhh, Bray, can I talk to you for a second." Cora asked meekly, glancing at him. She was going to quit right then and there, she couldn't play in the game, she would lose it for them. She couldn't have everyone looking at her, especially when she knew she would screw up.

Quidditch had started up again, which would usually have Felicity excited. But, when she found out the captain, her spirits dropped. Of course, it was Bray. She wasn’t disappointed that she wasn’t chosen, it was more the fact that the person who currently hated her was running the team. Needless to say, she would not be having fun. She tried to push those negative thoughts out of her mind and just focus on practice. Speaking of practice, when was the captain going to schedule a practice? There was a game coming up after all.
So, when the practice was finally scheduled, Felicity was completely unaware. She was lounging on the common room couch, reading one of her favorite novels, when she saw Heavenly race out of the common room in her Quidditch robes. Using her excellent deduction skills—and common sense—she concluded that the practice was scheduled for today. Thanks a lot for telling Felicity, Bray!
She was going to be late, obviously. Felicity ran up the stairs, threw on her quidditch robes and quickly tied her hair back. Snatching her broom from the wall, she made a quick mental check and found that she had forgotten her bat. “Oh bloody hell!” She cursed, flying back into her room and grabbing it from her trunk. Kieran would probably scold her for the foul language if he was there.
Fay raced down the corridors and out the door, running full sprint to the Quidditch field. Good news, she wasn’t the last one. Bad news, Bray had beaten her. That meant she had to be late. Groaning under her breath, she stopped near the team and conjured up a smile. “Hello team!” Felicity managed to say, albeit rather breathlessly.
