Ash made his way down the corridor towards the hospital wing. He wasn't sick or injured or anything. Okay... that wasn't completely true... he had come down with a cold. But big deal. What he was really here for, was he had heard there was a new healer and he was curious to see who it was. Would it be someone he knew? He doubted it.
Finally stopping in front of the doors to the Hospital Wing, he sighed softly. His boyfriend Tyler was a healer. They'd met in France. But Tyler had to go home, and Ash had to admit he missed him. A lot. But luckily, Tyler had promised to visit again. So it wasn't that bad.
Pulling himself out of his reminiscing, Ash pushed open the door and stepped inside. Walking a little ways into the room, he looked around... and got the shock of his life.

Compared to the hustle and bustle of St Mungo’s being a healer at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was relatively mild. You would get the odd curse that had back fired, a potion that went wrong or just your bog standard cold. Today was a quiet day in the hospital wing, all the beds where empty and in an attempt to occupy his time Tyler was in the small pokey office with his head bent over a stack of paper work. His fellow Healer Joshua Rowle had gone off to get some new supplies so here was the handsome new healer, for the first time, alone in the hospital wing. There was a reason why he had decided to come to Hogwarts, or at least swayed his decision and that was because of a certain someone who was in residence within the walls.
It was the sound of the hospital wing doors opening snapped Tyler’s attention away from his work, curious to see who it was Tyler pushed his chair from out under neither the table and stood up, peering through the window only for their eyes to met through the window pain. The widest smile formed on his face as he quickly stumbled out of the room, throwing open the door and ran into the main area of the hospital wing.
“Fancy seeing you here.” The Healer joked as he stood proudly in front of his boyfriend, hands on hips and a cocky little smile on his face. He knew this moment would have to come at some point and the feelings of euphoria that filled him was better then any drug or potion that could be given. “Come here lover boy.” He spread his arms out wide ready to embrace Ash in his arms once more.

To say that Ash was shocked to see Tyler standing in front of him, was the understatement of the century. The young apprentice just stood there for a moment. Eyes wide as saucers. Mouth hanging open. Then suddenly, as if a switch had been turned on in his brain, he came to life and with an excited cry, practically launched himself into Tyler's arms.
"Tyler! When did you get here? How come you didn't tell me you were the new Healer? Why are you the new Healer? I mean, not that I'm not happy about it, I am.. I just thought you were going back home." The words tumbled from the brunette's lips as he barely paused to catch a breath.
There was so much more he wanted to talk about but he figured it would be best to let Tyler answer his questions first and at least get a few words in.

Tyler could tell that Ashton was surprised to see him, it would be expected if your boyfriend suddenly turned up in front of you but it was written all over his cute little face. As always there was a short delay before all the pieces fell into place and Ash suddenly realised what was going on. Before the new Hogwarts healer knew what was going on his boyfriend was in his arms. The next few seconds seem to pass as a blur as Ashton flooded him with questions leaving him no time for answers. However as soon as Ashton stopped to catch his breath a coy little smile played on the lips of Tyler as he thought about the best ways to answer the questions that had been put to him.
“Oh I got here a couple of days ago,” His embrace around Ash got tighter as he pulled him that little bit closer. “I have been waiting for you to show your face. I thought it would be more of a surprise and boy, I was right.” Tyler could not help but chuckle as he planted a light kiss on Ash’s forehead. “As for why I am working here, well…I was back home and thinking of you and then at work thinking of you so as I sat reading the paper I saw an advert for the job of a healer here at Hogwarts and thought it would kill two birds with one stone by moving here.”
With a wide grin Tyler pushed himself away from Ashton, however still holding his hand Tyler led Ashton over towards the nearest bed, sitting on the edge of it the healer locked eyes with the Muggle Studies Apprentice and grinned like a kid on Christmas morning. “Anything else you want to ask me babe?”

Ash smiled shyly, blushing as Tyler placed a kiss on his forehead. Despite being nineteen years old, and having his share of boyfriends, he could still be quite shy. Especially in a relationship that was relatively young, like this one with Tyler.
He sighed happily as Tyler pulled him closer, giggling softly as his boyfriend anwered his barrage of questions. "Sorry" he apologised still laughing, "Didn't mean to bombard you." He blushed again when the older man revealed he'd been waiting for him to show up. "Hope I didn't keep you waiting too long"
As Tyler pulled away, his face set in a small pout. It was quickly changed back into a smile however, when Tyler, still holding his hand, sat down on the bed and smiled at him.
"Hmmm... nope. Not that I can think of" he replied with a smile at Tyler's question.

There truly was something about Ashton that made Tyler smile, whether it was just his kind personality, his soft giggle or even just occasionally that shy personality crept out that made Ashton look like a vulnerable little kitten. However despite the fact that Ash had fired around 50 million questions at him Tyler did no think that his boyfriend needed to apologise and when ‘Sorry’ slipped out of his mouth the Hogwarts Healer rolled his eyes. “Will you stop apologising.” Tyler teased, wrapping his arms tighter around him.
“Nope, it was perfect timing cupcake.” Cupcake? Where the hell had that just come from? It was clear from the expression on the older man’s face that he had not expected that to slip through his lips but with a small chuckle Tyler moved the conversation along and looked deep into his lover’s eyes. But it seemed that Ashton did not have anymore question’s to fire at Tyler, which was useful as there was one question that was pressing on the healers mind.
“Is it my turn to ask the questions now?” Tyler said this in a very tongue and cheek way as before Ashton could even answer he went ahead an asked his question. “What are you doing in the hospital wing? Is everything okay? Not feeling ill are you?”

A small giggle escaped the smaller brunette as the word 'cupcake' slipped out of Tyler's mouth. That was a new one. Smiling, he sat down, snuggling up against Tyler. The healer really was amazing, but sometimes, Ash couldn't figure out if he truly loved the man, or if it was just infatuation. Right now however, he was pretty sure he loved him.
Adjusting his position so that he was sitting in Tyler's lap, he lay his head against the other boy's chest; arms still wrapped around his torso. He shrugged when Tyler asked if he was sick or anything. "No. I'm fine" he replied. And he would've gotten away with it too, if his his body hadn't suddenly decided to send itself into the coughing fit of the century. Quickly Ash pulled away from Tyler and covered his mouth.
After several minutes of nearly (and painfully!) hacking up his lungs, the raven-haired boy looked back up at his boyfriend sheepishly. "Okay...so... maybe I have a little cold? I'm fine though. Really!" he said, backing slowly away in case Tyler suddenly decided to try and tie him down in a bed or a something. He wouldn't put it past him

This was not how he had expected to meet his boyfriend, but then considering he works in the hospital wing then how did he truly think he would met up with Ashton other then him arriving in the hospital wing with some complaint. Maybe if he bought a student in who was the victim of a jinx or something…oh it did not matter. All that mattered was that he was here now and in his arms with that cute little giggle escaping everything in the world was right. Well it was until Ash started to answer his answer. At first he lied about being okay, but then his body suddenly started to convulse as a coughing fit took over.
“Oh my…Ash…Ash are you okay?” he pushed his boyfriend slightly away from himself so that he could see the black haired boy properly. The coughing just seemed to go on forever and reaching over to him Tyler patted Ash on the back and when it seemed that did nothing he ran over and got him a glass of water with a splash of lemon in it ready for when the coughing ended.
“Drink this.” He handed the glass over once Ash had finished coughing up his lung. “This will sooth the throat for now, but I shall get you something to help your cold. No magical cure for a common cold sadly.” He gave his boyfriend a small smile as he watched him with caring eyes making sure he was okay. “Other then your health Ash how are things?”

Ash smiled thankfully when Tyler handed him the water. It certainly helped his throat. The inside of which felt like it had been scraped raw. With sandpaper. Extremely rough sandpaper. Ash sighed. He hated being sick. It was a pain and he never got anything done, and anyone who knew Ashton Jade Laurent, knew that unless he was drawing or writing, he could not sit still for more than five minutes. If even that! So for him, being sick and having to sit still and not run around was torture for him.
He started to answer Tyler when he was hit with another coughing attack. This one didn't last as long as the previous one, but it was equal in intensity. Maybe even more intense. He winced at the raspy, phlegmy sound it produced. A clear indication that there was more fluid in his lungs than there should be.
He sighed again, leaning against Tyler. The only thing that was worth being sick was that people were extra nice to you, and you got a lot more cuddling.
And then... there were the fevers that often came with being sick. Ash knew he'd had a small one for a few days, but hadn't realized his temperature had risen until he starting shivering with chills.
The young Apprentice groaned slightly. "I hate being sick." he grumbled, glaring daggers at the wall in front of him as if it had personally offended him. "And uh.. before you ask how I got sick... I...um... kinda forgot to wear a jacket the other day when it was raining..." he hadn't forgotten of course, but rather couldn't be bothered to go back and grab it when he was already outside. He knew Tyler was going to scold him for being outside without proper attire. Especially as the weather was quite cold now. Even without rain. He also knew he deserved it. He knew better than to go out without proper attire. Especially seeing as he tended to get sick easily.
