Xander sat in a cushy armchair by the fire in the common room totally bored on this Saturday afternoon. It was starting to get rather cold out but was still nice enough to venture outdoors. But Xander didn't feel like going outside today. He was bored. Totally and unequivocally bored. There were no girls to flirt with in the common room right now and only couples outside sitting by the lake.
As Xander got up to watch the couples by the lake and wishing he had a nice girl so that he could join them he figured well if you can't join them, beat them. With this thought he smiled and quickly ran up to his room and dug through his trunk to find his stash of No-Heat Wet-Start Fireworks. He pulled a chair over to the window looking down over the shore of the lake and silently opened the window. He grabbed a glass of water and set it on the window sill and quickly grabbed a firework and aimed at the nearest gushy, love struck couple.
With his target chosen he quickly wet his fingers and started the firework. It shot off toward the target leaving a trail of orange sparks and just as they began to kiss it exploded as it hit the ground right next to them. Xander quickly ducked out of view laughing uncontrollably. He peeked his head back up to the window and saw that the couple was still there and were back to kissing. Well he decided that that just was not to be tolerated and he quickly shot another firecracker toward them, this one leaving a blue trail and exploding just behind the couple.
Xander laughed again and was getting ready to shoot off another firecracker when he heard sounds of someone coming down the stairs from the dormitory to the common room. He quickly stashed the fireworks and sat back down by the fire fixed his hair and pretended to read a Quibbler that someone had left sitting on the table.

Julia was having trouble concentrating most people it seemed were outside enjoying themselves while she was sitting there trying to study. There was nothing for it so she threw her transfiguration book to the side. Then she tried to lay on her bed just thinking about absolutely nothing in particular but that still wasn't working out too well. She thought that maybe she should just go join everyone else outside, there was no use for her to be all cooped up in her room like a prisoner locked in her tower. So Julia got out of her bed then rummaged in the trunk for something to wear, she had so many things she had packed that it was taking quite a while but she soon found an outfit she was willing to wear. Once she was dressed she left her room and went down the stairs. She could immediately see that the room was pretty empty except for about one boy who looked like he was up to something. Julia was a wee bit curious and holding her sweater coat on her arm she walked up to him. "Hey there, what are you up to all alone in here?" she asked curiously getting a weird whiff in the air of something she couldn't quite place. Julia couldn't help give him one of those looks she gave people when she thought they were doing something they shouldn't. The room was still pretty empty which would give someone ample opportunity to do something they shouldn't be. She wasn't quite sure of the boys name she thought he might be a second year or something like that and she didn't want to scare him or anything it's not as if she was a prefect. "Just be careful kid because if you're doing something you shouldn't and a prefect is the one that catches you I'd hate to see you get sent to detention just for entertaining yourself." At this point she hoped she sounded a little more friendly and a lot less like someone who thought she was in charge or something.

Xander was very relieved to see a girl enter the room. Sure it she looked like a 6th or 7th year and was probably much less susceptible to his boyish charms but she wasn't a prefect and she wasn't just passing him off. So he was delighted when she chose to talk to him.
"Hello, might I say that you look stunningly beautiful. Pardon me for not introducing myself, I'm Alexander but you may call me Xander." He said to the girl flashing one of his dazzling smiles. "I'm merely up here trying to have a little fun as I have grown bored of the outdoors of late. May I inquire as to why you are currently not outside?"
He continued to grin and he could tell that she thought he was up to something so he decided to wait it out and hoped that he didn't sound impertinent. At her remark about being careful and her not wanting him to get caught he smirked. "Why my dear lady I am always the most cautious of jesters and always strive to never get caught but I thank you wholeheartedly for your honest and kind concern." Xander replied to the girl with a slight bow as he pulled another firecracker from his pocket lit it and lobbed it swiftly out of the still open window.
"Would you like to join? I usually try to hit the sappy lovey-dovey couples sitting out by the lake." Xander said holding out another firecracker for her to take if she chose to. Xander wondered what she would do, most older students would probably just brush him and his childish pranks off but Xander was always interested in people's responses and he waited for hers with baited breath.

Julianna was surprised at this young boy. He was so eloquent, very intelligent quite unlike many of the younger kids she had met who seemed to be very immature when placed next to this one. Julia was sort of shocked but she did her best to hide that fact especially since he was so busy trying to be a little bit of a charmer as well. The funny thing she found was that he was actually a wee bit charming.
"Well it's nice to meet you Alexander I'm Julianna. I guess they out doors can be a little bit boring some of the time, but there are so many kids out there I'm sure you could find someone to hang around with. As for me I was actually headed outside but I saw you sitting there and wondered why a young lad such as yourself would be sitting here with nothing better to do." After this statement Julia gave him a look a very suspicious look.
"Ah well its concern mixed with wonder. If I'm not mistaken I am getting a whiff of what I think could possibly be firecrackers. Hmm I haven't played with a fire cracker in so long, but I mean no one would play with firecrackers in the common room so I must be mistaken right?" It took her a while but she did finally remember what that smell was. "I think firecrackers would definitely be considered a violation of common room etiquette prefects tend to frown on that." She knew that all too well, she remembered getting caught with firecrackers and the telling off she got for it.
Then he pulled out one of the firecrackers and Julia laughed at him. "Ah so I was right about the firecrackers I guess I still got it. I think I can take you up on the offer to go outside with those. I wouldn't mind a shot at those lovey dovey couples."

"Well, my dear Julianna, it is my greatest honor to meet you." Xander said as he took her hand and place a delicate kiss on it while handing her a firework.
"And since you were already planning on venturing out of doors," Xander added hesitantly, "would you care to join me as I head to a more strategic location for setting off these firecrackers. I believe that it is one farther from the prying eyes of the prefects as I have yet to be caught there."
Xander gravitated toward the open window with the bag of fireworks hoping that this magnificent lady would choose to accompany him and continue the fun.
