OVERALL APPEARANCE To look at him, you would believe he is like any other grandpa. He has a beard, greying hair and is extremely generous and forgiving of his family. However his voice is like a subwoofer and often scares and shocks people. Other than that, he is quite a stocky build and sort of 'waddles' when he walks due to being overweight and 'jolly' looking. His eyes show that he once used to be a handsome man, but age and battles have taken their toll, and Elziel's arms are covered with scars. He is also missing part of his little finger on his right hand where somebody had once hexed it off trying to rob from his antiques store. He also sometimes walks with a cane as his leg has been severely broken a few times and almost ripped off during his years as a dragon keeper in Scandinavia. He only lasted there a few months before he moved onto antiques, where he has gladly stayed since.

Ever since Elziel could talk, he was always very opinionated. Being brought up in Oxford by his parents, they were middle class but never went without anything, even if that meant them sacrificing other things. His father's work often sent him abroad and so he was often gone for weeks or months at a time. His mother however did very well in looking after him on her own and doing part-time work for others.

Elziel was always very headstrong and he followed greatly in his fathers footsteps. His father was a dragon breeder and trainer and often sold and bought dragons from all over the world. Once graduating Hogwarts as a Slytherin with great grades, Elziel decided to join his father in the Dragon Business as there was a lot of money involved in it. His father taught him Dragon Taming and the like, but Elziel never did have a full passion for it like his father had. It was one trip to Switzerland to purchase a rare breed of minature dragon that Elziel was injured at the age of 23, and he has never walked the same since, the dragon almost severing his leg and losing the tip of one of his fingers.

It wasn't long after his recovery that he realised he would not be able, nor did he want to be able, to do a physically demanding job such as Dragon Taming. It was soon after he found his love and interest was in Magical items & Antiques. After self-educating himself, he managed to open up his own shop in Knockturn Alley, London, where his business is still conducted, long outstanding Borgin & Burkes store.

It has been his notorious connection with Magical Items that recieved attention from the new Dark lord and darker people. Their properties often peeking darker and the more malificent peoples interest.
