Laney let her hand slide gracefully down the banister as she watched Cris jump the last few steps. Caroanne nodded, "Well more like potential friends. I met the girl that kidnapped Ash over the summer," she said with a laugh, "Felicity Locke."

Cristian stopped and waited for her to glide down the steps gracefully.
"Ha, yeah Felicity's cool. I've not spoken to her much but she's a wild one" He smirked.

Carolanne stopped on the last step and smiled at Cris. She nodded when he said Fay was wild, "Yeah, apparently, last year, she socked my dad," she said before letting out a small laugh. Suddenly, Laney jumped off of the last step towards Cristian.

Cristian listened to Laney as she told a story of Felicity.
"Ha, your kidding?" he said, stopping himself laughing, just before he creased up.
"That's amazing!" He continued to laugh.

Laney smiled and nodded, "I know. I'd never have thought to do that, but he did have it coming. If you knew what he was like," she said before cutting herself off. She didn't want to talk too much of her family, besides, Daniel wasn't her real father and she didn't want Cris thinking that her family was all bad. Her step father wasn't all evil, he had his moments where he was nice, she just didn't want to get into that at a moment. She looked up at him and bit her lip, "Well, lets just say you wouldn't like him," she said before walking down another set of stairs.

Cristian looked at her and frowned a little and what she was saying.
"Hmm, He deserved it then?" he questioned.
"He must have done something bad for her to punch him" He answered to himself.

Carolanne sighed and nodded, "Yeah, Daniel doesn't approve of Gays. When he found out about Ashton, he flipped. He came to Hogwarts and started this whole thing right in front of Ash's friends, Fay being one of them. He tried pulling me out of Beauxbatons later that week. Thankfully, my mother was with him that time and got him to back off," she said explaining the event. "It's something that Ash doesn't like to talk about, but its also something that's extremely hard to hide," she stopped in the middle of the stairs, "Promise me you won't tell Ashton that I told you," she said with worried eyes.

Cristian looked at her worried eyes.
"Of course I won't say anything, I promise" he smiled sweetly at her.
"Your dad sounds a bit, er, well Harsh" he said, wincing a little and shrugging his shoulders

Laney smiled and gave him a hug, "Thank you," she said before letting go and continuing her way down the steps. Carolanne sighed, "Harsh is an understatement," she said finally. With a laugh she turned back to Cris, "He still jokes about the woogyman with me. It's funny now because I know there's no such thing, but at home, he's mean about it," she stated.

"Are you looking forward to leaving home then? Away from him I mean?" He asked.

Laney smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I can't wait to be done with school and old enough to be on my own. The first place I'm going is Rome," she said with a dreamy look on her face. She laughed, "My dad, my real dad I mean, took me there when I was two. I don't remember it, but I have pictures."

Cristian grinned as he saw her excitedness about Rome.
"Sounds nice, you'll have to show me the pictures" he replied.

Laney smiled, "I definitly will," she said with a laugh. "And who knows, when we're both taking our trips around the world, we just might end up meeting again in Rome," she said jumping the last few steps.

Cris gave her a huge grin. He loved that idea. He could hear the French in her accent which drove him crazy.
"Your accent is amazing" he said, opening the great hall door.

Laney giggled and gave a small curtsy, "Merci, Mon Amour," she said before giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. "Shall we dine then?" she asked him as she walked through the large, oak door.
