Jackson's wand is sturdy, making it a quite powerful wand all in itself. Though it can prove difficult sometimes due to its inflexibility to learn new spells, it takes a lot of work to get a new spell working for him, but when he does he knows he can rely upon it. His wand balances his personality, he has always been interested in Defence against the dark arts. Hawthorn Wood on a wand makes it excellent in Defence against the dark arts as it symbolises protection. The Hawthorn wood is only pruned at Beltane, never any other time of the year. The Phoenix Feather in his wand is a popular core due to its versitality and power. Its main strength lies in Defense Against the Dark Arts, although its adaptability can wrench it to hexes and jinxes if need be. For the most part Jack never pays attention to his surroundings. He's always walking into something or doing something completely stupid gaining him a clutzy status. Usually, Jack has his head in the clouds and because of this he often finds himself coming back down to earth with a rather large bump. Though, this is because Jack thinks too much, he's always thinking about something and often forgets where he is. He rarely knows where he's going and has been known to turn up in the Potions lab to teach a defence class.

Anger:
Most of the time Jack is very gentle. He has a good nature to him and he usually likes to keep that side of his personality on top. However, he can have a very sharp tongue and he has an answer for just about everything. His temper is quick and hot, usually only lasting for a few minutes but by then its usually too late to rectify what he has done or said. Though Jack is quite good at keeping his temper in check.

Arguments:
Jack wont take sides in an argument and he will try to see it from both points of view. He is an able listener and will listen to whatever you have to say. Jack has been known to be a peace-keeper and try to smooth the lines in an argument. He doesnt like to see people fight since Jack himself is a very peaceful person. Though in an argument, he will set the arguer's aside and talk to them, find out the problem and try and sort it out. If that doesnt work, he will lock you in a room together and not let you out until you have sorted your differences.

History:
He was born to Anna and Jenson Shaw on the Seventeenth of August in a small Village just outside of Newquay. Jack has always been proud of being a southener and wont let anyone say bad things about his family or his heritage. When he was two, his little sister Jaymie was born and Jack loved her from the word go, a year later, Leon was born and that completed his family. Jack is the eldest sibling and tries to set an example for his younger siblings, who now are proud their brother is a professor.

His first seven years in Hogwarts passed with a blur. So many things happened during those seven years, passing his owls and his newts easily, almost getting eaten everyother day, having things explode on him in charms and potion lessons, not to mention that plant that tried to make Jack its dinner! Easily said not a day went by without some form of drama. In fact, the only lesson he seemed to never be attacked in or get hurt in was Defence Against the Dark Arts, and this is what probably sprung his interest in the subject.

The only person Jackson ever really considered one of his closest friends was Miss Biggerstall, considering she always saved him from things that wanted to make him their meal. He first met her in his third year when she was still only a second year. They were both in Herbolody and he hadnt been paying much attention, as he went to feed the plant he got a little too close and the plant decided to munch on his arm instead. Jac helped him out and he spent the next week in the Hospital Wing, where Jac visited him every day, bringing him news on the "dreaded thing".

When his Seventh Year was coming to an end, Jackson felt a little lost. Knowing he would have to leave the school and leave his metamorphmagus friend behind. The two had become really good friends and Jax wasnt quite ready to leave her, or the school just yet. Thankfully in his last week, an Apprentiship spot came up for Defence Against the Dark Arts and Jax took it without a moments hesitation.

Though Jack's apprentiship was short lived. He had only been learning for a couple of months when Kenna announced her departure, the Headmaster, thinking Jack had learnt enough told him that Jack was being given the position. At first he protested, saying he wasnt ready, but once he began planning he realised, even though Kenna had only taught him for a few months in the Apprentiship, she had taught him enough for him to be able to take over. He wont lie and say he isnt nervous, being a Professor at 18 makes him only a year older then the Seventh Years. Though, in a way, he relates better to them.

Now, two years down the line he is still standing strong in his professor title. He works hard and usually doesnt leave his office unless he has nothing better to do. Two years down the line he finally got the girl and couldnt be more chuffed about it. Jac, his childhood friend, finally realised she liked Jack more than just a friend and somehow, the two ended up being together. Usually, when Jack is found grinning these days, you can count on the fact Miss Biggerstall has had something to do with it.

As the years rolled on, Jackson fell more and more in love with Jac and eventually asked her to marry him. She said yes and no words could describe how that one word made him feel. He is happily married now with her and would never even consider being with anybody else. Some time in the future he hopes the two of them can settle down in their lives enough to raise a family, but who knows.

As a colleague he is also rather good as he always does what he is told! And I guess, what could be argued as the most important thing is that he is a good friend and although, that bit of advice he was on about…I think I may have been drunken when I gave him that, sounds like something I would say after a few pints.” A far off look passed over Dan’s face as he clearly strains his memory to remember that conversation. “Nope, for the life of me can not remember, although I remember Alaska! When me and Dan are around eachother we can barely be serious together, we have somewhat similar personalities sometimes and they tend to clash with eachother. He's so knowledgable it's not wonder he did exceedingly well in Ravenclaw, and he's my little angel. He helped me through many stages of my life including one big hurdle which was my exams. It seems being around him rubbed off and I got better grades than expected, which makes him a great teacher in my eyes. Now we've both finished school and are leading our seperate lives, we don't see each other as we used to but we still make time for each other and I love it when I see him.
