The Character
Name: Bailey Rose Griffiths
Nicknames: (If any)
Job Title: Hogshead Barmaid
Age: 19
Blood: Pure blood
Wand: 9 inch rosewood with a unicorn hair core, with intricate vine patterns cut into the wood.
Personality: Bailey is a fairly active and bubbly character, whether those surrounding her know her or not, she enjoys the fact that she can be loud (only of course when it is suitable to be so, she would never be unruly in lessons!) and that she is relatively easy to spot due to her appearance.
Though she is sometimes brash and outspoken, she does consider others feelings and would never do and say anything intentionally to hurt another. This is more due to her family life perhaps that anything else, getting on well with both her brother and parents in a tight knit family, no arguments arose generally. Well none of any importance. They were indeed an open family, they were after all Hubbles’ maybe not by name, but with their vast amounts of relations, they never spent too long out of each others company, Family gatherings were quite consistent, whether it were weddings or birthdays. Due to such a family life, she had learnt to be kind and considerate yet lively and jokey. Never short of sarcasm. Other than that, what you see is what you get with Bailey, considered crazy by most, loving by some and an anomaly to others.
Appearance: Bailey is a relatively tall athletic person, she stood at only 5ft 8 with long wavey ginger hair and green eyes. She has a slightly unusual dress sense and tends to wear whatever items of clothing are not ‘in’ at that particular time.
History: The Griffiths family, they are an average modern wizard family. None of that old pure is best malarky! Willing to consider most things at great length as well as it does not cause them great disturbance. They are a close family, especially with their closest relatives the Hubbles. However to the immediate family. Bailey’s Father was in a highly paid job at the ministry, however he quit after certain occurrences. Since then however he has decided to mix with the local muggle community and has recently opened a pub. Their mother however was a stay at home mother, for many years and for this purpose Bailey and her brother are very close siblings, spending alot of time with their mother. Neither were ones for shopping but they tended to be dragged to places by the mother, which was the down side except they were bought fizzing wizzbees on each trip!
Bailey’s family have been a long line of Hufflepuffs, showing very little exception. This may be an indication as to why their family members are all easy going, and deem many things as acceptable, and are vaguely partial to change.
Hogwarts: Bailey remained at Hogwarts throughout her seven years of school achieving good grades at both O.W.L and N.E.W.T levels, though was somewhat uncertain as what to do afterwards, though that is of little importance. Bailey was not an overally popular member of Hogwarts, and was not known well by a lot, but she was always recognisable at least. This only continued when she became a Hufflepuff chaser, her and Girty had made a great and they had won many a match due to Hubbles-Griffiths combinations. They had always been a quidditch-orientated family and Bailey and Jamie spent many summers in the field by the barn practising their skills with Dan and Girty.
Post Hogwarts: Bailey was a bar maid at her fathers muggle pub for a short while after finishing at Hogwarts because she wanted to spend more time close at home with the family. Though no one informed her of how much harder it was to sort everything else out in a muggle pub, she could not use her wand for spillages and such because otherwise the drunk punters would notice something, though it was unlikely they would remember it. But better to be safe than sorry.
Then word came from there cousin Warren. He was struggling to run the pub without a barmaid and required assistance. Bailey was charged with helping him, and longing to return back to Hogsmeade and the general Hogwarts area she jumped at the chance. Bailey was then shipped off to hogwarts, when Jamie started his 6th year. She had now spent the start of the year with warren in the pub, where it was much easier being able to use her wand without worrying!
